cubby420: Thank you. You´re right goofytuba´s bats are a really big contribution to the american buildings. :)

TiFlo, i_love_lamp, Uzil, art128, kwakelaar, Tomas Neto: Thank you guys for the nice commments!:D

Nardo: Hehe I know that papa Nardo likes trains. I must say it´s not easy to play with less railroads, because you get alot of noise complaints and smog in the city. :P

RickD: Thanks. New Memphis is very hughe yes, and it keeps growing. I will maybe rebuild the downtown map, most of it isn´t that nice sadly.

I got some more Terryville pictures for you, and you can expect some more updates in the next few weeks, because I have two months semester-break :) ;D.

We´re taking a closer look at the old center of Terryville, nowadays a busy inner-city-commercial district.

Question: is it all grown or do you plop some of it?

cubby420

Good stuff!  Though I will say, stylistically its a bit all over the map...but diversity is the spice of life. That highway tunnel/overpass thingy is neat too.

noahclem

Looks great   I love your choice of buildings and use of NWM!

Nice new update Manuel, I always loved the feeling of your cities, and this one is no less ! Really everything blend perfectly, the highway, skyscrapers, rowhousing etc. It all looks wonderful.

Take care,
-Arthur.

Hey guys. I have a question about the DarkNite Mod. I wanted to take some pictures of downtown by night, so I downloaded Simfox' darknite mod. But apparently I already downloaded a couple of "maxisnight" buildings, and they look ridiculous with the new mod. Now my question: "Can I download the darknite building and just change the model, and the building will change to darknite, or do I have to rebuild and replop all these buildings afterwards?"
Update and replies will come soo.  ;)

art128

Well as from what I know you'll have to re-plop all those buildings.  ;)

Very colorful   ;)

for your question, I think the darknite buildings don't take the ID of former builing so you need to re-plop the LOTs  ::)

Wow those pictures are outstanding! The picture quality is incredibly high, and so realistic...lookings just like an American midtown-downtown area.

art128, Girafe: Thank you guys for your help. :) Too bad I would have to rebuild alot of buildings, I better stick with the old night-version and then photoshop more. :P

nedalezz: Thank you very much. The picture's quality will even go up soon  ;) I only realized yesterday, that I loose alot of details by squeezing the pictures from 1920x1200 to 1024x640. So I will cut out the best piece of each picture, and give you a more detailled look at the cities. Of course I will still show you some overview pictures aswell. ;) Anyway, this update is still not "ingame resolution", but I hope you will still like it.

TiFlo: The residental areas and buildings are all grown naturally, I don't use any landmarks there to plopp residental areas. In the commercial and industrial areas I plop from time to time. I normally let everything grow first and then after a couple of times of bulldozing I plop buildings that would fit in better - especially corner-lots are very hard to grow, so they are mostly plopped. ;) I want to add that it's very important to me, not to "cheat" with plopping buildings, and keep the game playable and realistic. That means I only plop if there's a demand for this kind of building.  :)

Lets move to another dense urban area. This quarter is called "Elizabeth" and a little bit wealthier than Terryville as you will see. There are lots of commercial areas. (which I like most  :P )

An overview picture.

Once more time, excellent update Manuel

Wow! Fantastic work! &apls I like the way you've built the highway just through the buildings, it looks as if some of them were demolished in order to make space for the highway.
Happy New Year!
