CAM stage caps

Ok, so I've been playing with the CAM for quite awhile now, and it's very good.

I just wanted to know what the stage caps are, because I was playing through a tutorial on ST (making money the easy way) and it says to only zone 1x1 lots. Now, I know that 1x1 lots are stage 2, so I'll have to zone 1x2 lots to get 1x1 lots. If I was playing without the CAM, my pop. would have to be 400 to be able to grow 1x1 lots. With the CAM, I noticed it had to be 600 sims.

I need to know at what pop. the different stages' threshold is. The stickied table means nothing to me, as I have no knowledge of how to interpret it. I need something like stage 2: 600 pop. 3: 1200 pop (example)

Any help would be much appreciated.

There is no certain population (or regional capacity) that guarantees you move on to the next stage. But at 800R$, you'll have a 5% chance of a Stage 2 growing, provided you have the demand for it. At 1000 R$, there's a 20% chance for Stage 2's, but still an 80% chance you'll get a Stage 1.

Based on RippleJet's table, the earliest you'll start seeing Stage 2 Residentials growing is a Regional Residential Capcity (Total, not by class) of 800 for R$ Stage2, 900 for R$$ Stage2, and 1000 for R$$$ Stage2 housing.
Stage 3: 1000, 1125, 1250
Stage 4: 2443, 2748, 3054
Stage 5: 5966, 6710, 7458
Stage 6: 14568, 16383, 18210
Stage 7: 35568, 39999, 44460
Stage 8: 55575, 62499, 69469
Stage 9: 86836, 97655, 108545
Stage 10: 135681, 152586, 169601
Stage 11: 212001, 238416, 265001
Stage 12: 331251, 372525, 414064
Stage 13: 517580, 582070, 646975
Stage 14: 808719, 909485, 1010899
Stage 15: 1263624, 1421070, 1579530

As your Regional Residential Capacity grows, you have a higher probability of growing larger stage lots.

For Commercial or Industrial, just follow RippleJet's table, and look for the first line longer than the last. That'll tell you the absolute minimum Regional Capacity you need for the next stage to start showing up soon.

You're gonna need the Census Repository v3 to measure your Regional Capacities, and don't forget the CAMelot Counters, to track your progress as you get into the upper stages of CAM (9+ for R& C, 4+ for I).

Thanks for that ;D I have the Census repository facility, and I had the Camelot counter, but I didn't have enough lots for anything to show up. BTW, with the CAM installed, weren't all of the maxis building rewritten to have appropriate values?

Yes, but without the benefit of a finished PIMX. I believe that all Maxis lots will be run through PIMX for CAM 2.0.

CAM 2.0?!  nooooooooooooo.......let me explain.

i just bought sc4 in April 2009, so i haven't been playing that long.  it took me until July or August to start downloading custom content (with no dependencies).  by September i was downloading everything - dependencies be darned - but i still wasn't  using CAM.  i bought another computer in october and decided to try CAM and i don't think i've played the regular sc4 since.  so i know CAM has been out for a while, but i'm not ready for it!!!   i guess i can just keep 1.0 until i'm ready - by then all the kinks will have been worked out!  i just got nam 2009 on the new computer too - i was still using the prior version on my old computer.

You'll be able to swap in CAM 2 and let the game run for a few months and things should be able to level out.
Correct me if I'm wrong Nate (xxdita).

Robin  :)
Call me Robin, please.

Actually, we're not sure about that just yet. Going from Vanilla to CAM 2.0 seems ok so far though.

Oooh, I can do some testing from CAM 1 to 2! Well, It won't be nitpicky, but just general differences, like demand, etc... :D Well, that was me pushing and being hopeful!

Anyway, the table posted, does it go like RJ's one, with R$$$ first, R$ last?
