Y'all KNOW I'm excited!!!!!!!!   It's ON!!!!!!

The SLR is great!  So far the only problem is that the track height doesn't match the FLUP height, and FLUPs are the only way for the UDI automata to pass under streets or the ground. Also most of the train cars disappear, leaving only the first car visible once the UDI automata transitions from FLUP to SLR.

Thank you all involved who made this. Saw this a while back and though it would never see the light of day again.

Now, I do have a problem, that shouldn't be a problem and I'm sure I'm doing it wrong. All trains stop and disappear at the wall of the lot, and don't appear on the next lot, and so forth. However they do go through as they come out on the other side, the automata just doesn't show on the lot at all. I've connected it as described in the readme-file, I think, but no automata goes through. What could be the problem? Note that I have lefthand traffic, could that be a problem, and in that case would there be a lefthanded version for download?

Thanks in advance!

Love these ones. Just was wondering if there is any stations for this network as of yet.

jdenm8

It's not really a network, but a sunken version of GLR which function as LOTs.

Just connect the LOTs using Subway, then you can use subway stations.

Thank you for your reply.
Ok. I know it's not a  network but I do love it anyway :I

If I would connect it to an ion I would lose underground station I would lose the ability to drive my trams around the city. It's really a small thing and I know that UDI is perhaps not the most important function of the game, but I find it rather relaxing to drive around in my city while thinking of what to do next.

I was thinking of a station like this one: http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=21204
Perhaps a little longer that one square and with the the possibility to drive the tram through the station.

I must say, however, that I'm completely useless on modding the game so I'm afraid that I can not help much.

Thanks for all help

The problem here is, that the models are made by the Japanese NOB.
Not sure much interest he has in his old models and sc4 for that matter.

I think that the Large Utopian subway station by Pegasus is the best station :)

The Utopian station would be awesome as one compatible with this sunken GLR release.  Could one of the powers that be pick this up as a small project?  Is the pathing possible?????

Well for one, the train modelled in the station is too big (a single track rather than the two that should be there. It's also made by PEG, who probably wouldn't allow it to be modded. And also, it looks as if the station is deeper than the tracks. So probably not, no.

Hi Guys

Some of you may have seen over in the RTMT and FLUPs topic here

http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=11354.new;topicseen#new

that the RTMT Team have being testing a new version of the RTMT that will work with the Sunken GLR, its not ready for release, but having discussed this with the Sunken GLR team we are going to release the updated Sunken GLR path files we have been using, this only applies to people with a UK (or left-hand version of the game).

In the attachment are two files (US and UK), the US file is identical to the original path file release, those people who have a UK or lefthand game need to delete the NOB_Sunken_GLR_paths.dat from their plugins folder and replace it with the NOB_Sunken_GLR_paths-UK.dat from the attachment.

Any problems please report here

thanks

EDIT: You may need to delete and re-plop your Sunken GLR network after replacing the path files

I've noticed that the FLUPs are noticeably deeper than the sunken GLR, causing a sort of jump.
If anyone could make a modified version of some of the FLUPs with higher paths, that would be nice.

Subways and FLUPs are -10 metres underground and the Sunken GLR is -5 metres deep, having done some experiments in doing just this you end up with either the Sunken GLR train partly underground or the tops of the FLUPs trains slightly above ground neither looks good and yes I agree the jump looks odd but I think it might be something you have to live with, also when we release the new RTMT stations that will work with the Sunken GLR their paths are also -10 metres underground as they have to match the FLUP and Subway paths.

Ah okay then.
Also, 1x1 pieces and turns would be nice, who every does the sunken GLR now. I heard something about models and stuff, so how hard would that be?
Also, about not being able to turn it into a puzzle peices(the sunken GLR lots) how about making the base texture transparent, putting in the model, and doing the pathing/coding? would that work?

EDIT: You would think converting one of these to a station wouldn't be so hard..... (Grumble)
