So, it's been a while.  :P  I haven't stopped BATting, I've just been a little busy with other things.  Here's a couple of pics of my newest endeavors.  The first is from a model on a friend's model railroad.  I thought it looked cute, so I started it Thursday at lunch.  The second is one I started this morning.  I've eaten in a few when I was up in the Northeastern part of the country and the food was pretty good for a fast food joint. :D  Cheers!

I've uploaded the Boston Market Restaurant to the LEX.  There are 3 models, in a building family, so it should be different each time it grows.  This comes as a CS$2 growable only.  Cheers!

Hello, jestarr.

It is a real pleasure to see what you've been working on.  I'm quite impressed with your "Clamity Jane" pier.  I can see some great uses for that.

Your Boston Market certainly has promise.  It will be another welcome addition to the available fast food "joints" for the game.

I've always enjoyed your models and uploads.  You certainly do have a talent with the BATting tool.

Thank you for sharing your work with the community.

Regards,

Gary (Vandy)

Thanks guys.  I'm almost finished with another factory (more my usual fair :P).  This will be the Silver Rock Sunflower Seed Company.  I needed to do something with all the sunflower seeds harvested from Badsim's farm lots; this will be it. :D  There's a bit more to do on this (textures and such).  Here's an in-game pic of my last test render.  Cheers!

Looking good Jestar. There are some great little details on this one and some interesting geometry. I really like the redder brick (nice to mix up your style now and then).

JBSimio

I like this one a lot too.  I agree with Spa that this particular shade of brick is a nice change every now and then.

Thanks all, I'm glad you like it. :)  So, I was looking on my backup disks for an old prop mesh and came across this building.  For one reason or another it ended up as an "almost ran".  I'm not sure why I never finished it, but I didn't. ::)  Anyway, I've dusted it off and sprucing it up a bit.  There'll be two other buildings, and maybe a third, plus various props and such.  Cheers!

Nice, I love the tapered smoke stack.

papab2000:  Thanks.  I like it too. ;D

So, I worked on this a bit more, this morning.  I cribbed a few ideas from a friends model railroad layout (that's where I got the idea for this in the first place). ;)  There'll be one more small building in the set and a bunch of props laying around.  Looks as if it'll just fit nicely on a 5x5 lot.  Cheers!

Hey Jess I am liking the dirt and grime on the tin roof there wow!!! that is tight!!!  Overall the building so far reminds me of a factory I worked at in Rockford Il for Fire Prevention aka Security a wee bit more pay cause I was also a fire fighter, but anyways I cant wait to see how the rest of this turns out!!!

Great factories!
I like all the factories you make. They have this nice 19th century look. The only comment I could give is that I think most factories have more outside space where there are lots of things lying around and where is place for trucks to drive around. Maybe some cranes?
So my advice si to make the lots larger and fill them with propfamilies of sheds, trucks, bunches of rubble, trash, concrete blocks, bags of goods, boxes with sand and coal..... whatever.
Most SC4 industrial areas look too filled with buildings. In my opinion off course.

Pat and FrankU:  Thanks, I'm glad you like it. :)  So, I've been working on this a little more, while waiting for inspiration on how to lot Silver Rock.  The stuff in the corner will be made into props and I'm making some older style trucks and trailers too.  I'll probably render the buildings as one model, then pull them apart and rerender them as separate models.  Cheers!

Ohh, I like it. Some great 'stuff' being worked on here. I can't wait for more

Wonderful work on the factory Jess! Also great to hear you'll add some more props to your collection, I can't wait them to try them out on a new industrial lot

sim-al2

I already love the building, and your props are just too awesome! (I actually posted a picture of a lot with some of your props this morning!)
