It's looking good.....another creation that I can't wait to get my grubby little fingers on..... ()stsfd()

Thanks everyone.  OK, I've changed the roof texture to a darker, rust spotted one.  It still needs some work, but it's getting there. :D  I also changed the glass texture to a lighter one, but it might be too bright now, so I may darken it a little.  Anyway, here's an in-game progress pic.  Cheers!

simdad1957

I like the rust on the roof, very realistic. I envision this warehouse on the waterfront or perhaps on a dock. Good work.
Go Sens!!

Godzillaman

That building is the definition of brilliant!  &apls

Andreas

The roof might be a tad too rusty in some places, and I liked the darker glass texture better, but the rest is simply fantastic! :)

OK, I redid the roof texture, as I agree with Andreas; the rust just wasn't working.  I've also redone the glass texture back to a darker, greenish color.  Overall I think I like it better. :D  I also came across a BAT some of you may find interesting.  I'd started it quite some time ago and, for one reason or another, never finished it.  I was actually looking for something else, when I found it. :P  It was meant to be a cigar factory, with palm trees and all the paraphernalia, so I may resurrect it, and try to get it completed. :D   Cheers!

Sim Shady

Excellent! we desperately needed a cigar factory!  My sims were having to illegally turn to their Miami cousins with connections to that certain communist country to acquire a certain famous kind of cigar because they had no good cigars in sim nation.

oldrogue

I like the new warehouse textures very much......and .... cigar factory  yes ..... train station yes... quite  a few things actually.....

But, you know what this world really really needs is a coffee packaging/blending whatsis....not sure if they call it a factory ()stsfd()

Think that was subtle enuff? :D

BigSlark

I have to agree with Marc, that would be a great train station.

But I suppose if you released the building itself in a prop pack, well, we could use it for whatever we wanted...

Cheers,
Kevin

vester

I have to agree with marcszar. It reminds me of a train station.

Yoman

I thought it was a recreation of the in game train station :P

I'm sure Fidel Castro will be happy though  ;D

existenz

Or it could be released as both a cigar/coffee blending factory and a train station, so you can choose which one you want or need!! ;)

SC4BOY

Really like that last workover of the warehouse.. looks great

ardecila

The cigar factory really reminds me of the refectory in Columbus Park here in Chicago.  It also has lots of those arched windows, and a similar hipped roof.

Go into Birds' Eye view.

The port warehouse looks just right, excellent work

ardecila:  You're right, they do have similar roofs. :D

Hogmeister:  Thanks!  I'm glad you like it. ;D

OK, I've uploaded a new mega pack to the LEX.  Along with the new props, I've also incorporated Vols 16 and 17.  This one has assorted railcars at 11.25 Diagonal (left and right versions), that MIncroabl requested, various sizes of stacked containers (from 11 units to 90 units), and family exemplers for most of them.  Also included is the 3x8 warehouse.  Cheers!

That "cigar factory" could be just about anything. As others have said, train station (particularly if you extend that wing a bit more, make it only a single (elevated) floor and have staircases and lifts coming down from it).

It also makes me think of a beach pavilion actually (quite common in Australia), but you can't implement that very well in the game. it really depends on how you work the lot as to what it should become. A police station wouldn't be implausible either, nor would a fire station.

Jestarr: I do not know if you are interested or not, but I am looking for help with props for one of my projects (MSS - Modular Storage System). I am in bad need of moving vans, covered boats, campers, and RVs, etc. any help would be greatly apreciated, and credit would be given of course.
