So you're telling me that a shiny Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 would make your day, jestarr?
(Dual core, 2.13 Ghz, 4MB of L2 cache...I want one)

Cheers,

WOW alot of progress here Jestarr and Citynut... keep up the hard work and will be checking again soon - pat

Don't forget the SC4D Podcast is back and live on Saturdays @ 12 noon CST!! -- The Podcast soon to Return Here Linkie

@FromTheAshes:  Thanks, but it doesn't really matter how long it takes.  I have a 2.8 with 2 gigs of RAM that I use only for rendering. ;D

@BigSlark:  It would certainly make my day, but it's not likely to happen soon.

@patfirefghtr:  Thanks, glad you like it.

So, on that note, Citynut sent me the model for the vent/cooling building.  I thought it looked really cool, so I merged it in with my model and did test render #36. :P  Also, the building footprint is now up to 15x8 (with a lot more to go).  Cheers!

Jestarr, That was a perfect fit on those cooling vent - on a side note I was doing some more work on those and we probably should keep that as a separate prop. see pic below

here is a live shot of the same vents

there still is alot more detail to do on just the vents and the piping behind it - let me know what you think. I might knock off 30 mins rendering time  :D

SG's fields and some of mine are seasonal. Basically you need the three packs of fields from the LEX: CSX Farm Fields; BLS Farm Fields and SG Farm Fields. Search for Colyn, Barby and simgoober and you will find them.

Thanks jestarr and Barby!  I finally got them to work.  woot!  can't wait to start implementing them in my cities now.  Now the only thing left is figuring out how to make cool looking farm lands, so everything is grids.  lol.   :D

Ok here is the first of many props to be made for the VW Plant that jestarr and I are making together. this prop is 16x6 so it is good size - if you look at the last pic Jestarr and the live pic i posted you will see where this prop will go. I hope you enjoy the pic

Looks perfect! Will there be any kind of canal tie in with this one?
I find that alcohol, taken in sufficient quantities, can bring about all the effects of drunkenness.

Looks super and the canals would be a nice touch. ;D

hydra

Nice very nice guys it kinda looks like a powerstation for some reason.

jestarr

I'm not really sure what this part of the complex is used for, but seeing as the entire complex is approximately 3.75 square miles ( a small city really), I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't the power plant.  It'd take something this size, to power all the machinery, so they wouldn't cause brown outs in Wolfsburg. :D

By the way I've uploaded Underhill Casket to the LEX.  Cheers!

The VW Plant seems to be coming along very nicely guys.

Jestarr, your Underhill Casket looks simply amazing.  Thanks for another industrial bat.

It sure is... you guys are hard at work with this one!  Keep up the good work!

Jestarr: Underhill Casket Co. is simply amazing.  Great job on the lotting as well!  There is a slight problem I have, though.  There is no query for the growable version, but for the ploppable there is.  There is no custom query, right?

Thanks folks.  I'm glad you like it.

@ky72x:  I'm not sure what's going on with that as it has a standard Maxis query assigned.  Actually it's the same one as the plop version, so it should work.  I've looked at the lot with the Reader and everything appears to be correct.  Are you testing the CAM?  If so, make sure you have the CAM essentials installed as the CAM version uses a different query.  Let me know either way so I can research what's happening if I need to.  Thanks.

@hellviz:  If you're getting a brown box, that means the game can't find the model file.  Search for this file "jes_UnderhillCasketCompany-0x5ad0e817_0x5394e832_0x30000.SC4Model" in your "My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder.  It should be in "BSC\jestarr\UnderhillCasketCompany".  If it's not there, you'll need to search and find where it installed, and move it to where it's supposed to be.

For those following the VW plant saga  :D, here's a pic of test render #41a.  I've adjusted the brick texture some and added a few things here and there.  Also, the center sections were too short and have been lengthened.  The footprint is now 18x9. ;D

Citynut

Hey that looks super - I thought we were using the other texture if not we need to make sure we are both using the same one - otherwise this is looking super - it is the one you sent me - I need to retexture the prop so it matches - please advise
