This is coming along much faster than I thought it would.  This is fantastic.  I can't wait to play with this.  Can you imagine a huge frieght station beside this?  Or trying to copy the exact set up of the orignal plant and it's surroundings.  Ohhhhh, the ideas are coming to fast.  I have to relax.........
Great work.

Another great idea (maybe for later though: a modified version of that building would make an excellent train shed.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?  :D

There is just one little thing to this great and huge bat that I don't like: the water towers (I think that is what they are) on the roof look to North-American for a German plant...

That looks really good citynut.  Nice job!  Well, I'm just about to render the main section of the plant.  I've just got to reposition some of the roof junk and it's done (well,  maybe  ;D).  I knocked together another building.  Just walls, roof and foundation at present as I needed to render it and look at it in-game to check the size.  Good thing I did, as it's about 20% too large. :P  Here's a pic so you can get an idea of what it'll look like.  Ignore the textures.  They're only there so I'd have something to look at. :D  Cheers!

your image isn't showing... how odd.
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

Great work.  This is coming along nicely.  And the last picture jestarr, just goes to show how much work is involved.  Is it possible to put everything done so far together (in position) so we all can see how far along you guys are?  If not no biggy, just wondering.....

Since rooker1 asked about this, here's an in-game test pic of all the components finished (well, maybe :D) to date.  This is currently an 18x23 lot and with roads, rails, assorted textures and other props, the lot will probably end up at 20x25. :P  This is also fairly close to a zoom 3 view as zoom 4 almost fills my screen at 1280x1024.  Cheers

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang that is sweeet......  Jestarr WoW 20x25...

Wow, that looks amazing. I assume the X-tool gave this like 17,000 jobs or so?

Cheers,

That is super looking so far we have come a long ways with this project  ;). But the only thing I see wrong is the placement of the vents building. - the second vent from the end should be under the chute- I had all of the pipes lined up to match the massing model you gave me and according to live shots of the plant. The longest pipe should be right at the where the main building ends and the second part begins right before the generator building. Other wise this is AWSOME

My eyes buldge wide open   :shocked2: and my mouth drops to the floor.................I start to hyper ventalate with excitement and I need to be calmed down by a co worker.  I slowly get myself back together and relax.......than I look at the picture, and it starts all over again....LOL  :D

Seriously, this is the largest lot I have ever seen.  You guys are incredilbe, and this will be a great achievement once this is completed.  &apls &apls
%BUd% I can hardly wait.    ;)
I wander how many jobs this would have if it were made CAMpatible.  How many jobs do you think it will have?  Does anyone know how many employees work at the RL plant?  ()what()
&idea Anyways you guys are awesome and should consider another joint venture once this one is completed (or in the near future.)  You both compliment eaach other very well.
::) Not to be too pushy, but do you have a time line for completion, another month or so? You are going so fast already, I never thought it would be this far.

Oh and thanks for an in-game test pic of all the components finished so far.  It was like getting a present for no reason, thanks again.

I ran the massing model of the power plant through PIM-X and it assigned 29,000+ jobs at 50% fill.  With all buildings and props included it may go as high as 40,000. ;D  I think the real plant employs around 50,000, +/- a few.

FromTheAshes

Well, actually thsi BAT is just the power plant for the main "VW Werk". So it ain't got so many jobs. But as nobody can or want to build the VW Werk (which is rather ugly btw), it's better to assign the jobs to the plant :D

So, as most of the main buildings and props are done, I've started doing some preliminary textures.  Many of them will need to be made to fit the positions of the buildings.  Here's an in-game test pic to show what I mean.  The LODs are set so that props can be placed strategically and still be seen. :D  Might make some timed prop exemplers, too, so they aren't just static.  The tracks enter this building and exit on the rear side of citynut's production building.  Anyway, here's the pic.  Cheers!
