Looks great.

May a suggest that you have a look for inspiration at BIG architects.

Just to give you an idea of some of the buildings they are doing: the Peoples building, Shanghai

Oh yeah, the "ren" building, i saw a video of that somewhere long time ago. Actually, that is a very interesting proposal, are they actually gonna build this? BTW, the BIG architecture site is just amazing, i will dig deeper into this site later. Thanks for the information, vester. Meanwhile, i begin working on the GUGGENHEIM now. will keep you updated soon. Thank you all for these nice comments!

in addition to big if you want to go really off the wall for architecture, check out Evolo [linkie], they run annual open skyscraper and housing design competitions and the entries are mad. not many are sc4 applicable but for ideas that are out there, this  site is second to none.

That is my understanding. It's for the 2010 expo.

I'm sorry for not being posting those last days, but I'm too bussy right now. I saw that you have started working on the Guggenheim; I'm impatient to see some pics of it, and to have the Walt Disney Concert Hall placed in my city. I have already a place reserved for it. ()stsfd()

you sly one...

so is the pingan tower going to be actual size???? if so, are you going to do it on a megalot with its neighbour you have already batted, coco park...

see the plans near the bottom of the page to see how close the main tower is to COCO park, like opposite sides of the same street, plus considering the second tower is on the block on the other side of the main road how huge this beast is. [linkie]

oh and here makes i blindingly obvious just how close...

NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

But Ping An is already released... ()what()

Oh, yes... Thank you very much. :-[ It was me who asked for it and I forgot to thank you when you reuploaded it...

Engorn: no problem, thank you for pointing out the onld link of the SZ library and Music Hall is dead. I am still working on the Guggenheim, the building is massive, and the lot is a bit tricky, part of it is near the water. Not sure i will make a lot that requires plop next to the water...what do you think?

Pat: Yes, I would like to go back working on the university pack. I got an interesting idea: I can take request from people on batting the university buildings they went to. In that case, i need reference. Or i can come up with a design base on what people requested. Of course, there is a selection process, most likely i am looking at modern styles with some interesting design. So anyone is welcome to make request now. In fact, i been taking requests lately, the Sanye center is a good example:

mightygoose: yes, the PingAn is already released, way more faster than the actual building. Recently some leaked sources from PingAn states that there might not be a 646m tower, a shorter one will be built instead. Hopefully that is just a rumor. any way, it is done as it is, i will not make a maga lot for it with COCO Park, as you can see you can easily plop it next to the COCO Park. But thank you for the attention. Hope you will enjoy it.

Thank you again for the nice comments and suggestions, will work on the projects once i can. More pic of the Guggenhiem is coming up soon. But before that, i will go the COLDPLAY concert in HK tonight!!!! so excited!!! WOW COLDPLAY!!! will share some pics in the concert with you guys if you want! got to go now, take care guys!

I think that if the lot requires plop next to the water it will minimize the possibilities of plopping the museum. Actually, the Guggenheim is near a river, but its not on the river as the Sydney Opera House is on the bay water, so I don't consider that making it ploable only near the water will be a great idea.
In my opinion, may be more tricky how to give a solution to the change of the level of the ground, if you know what I mean.

Pat

David that is looking real good there!!! Of course I would be happy to see some concert pics!!!

John I would be intrested in more pics as well....

Hi there dmscopio! Some wonderful progress on those buildings ;)
Really love both museums!!

As for you request, I have an idea for a College... It's located at the 'Zandpoortvest' in Mechelen, Belgium.
Very modern and not TOO big, lol :p

If you like it, I have some more detailed pictures. So PM me or talk on MSN if you want them ;)

I have also a proposal for your university project.
In the German town Lüneburg, near Hamburg, Daniel Libeskind is currently developing a new campus for the Leuphana University. Not everybody will like his plans but I think that they are very nice and something really special.
