Capo,

They can not be grown unfortunately. The diagonals will be released as plops with jobs or PJ's  :P

Ah I misread unfortunately. Well doesn't matter, I'm still going to download the lotpack once it's up! :)

curious thought, what happened to those diagonal parking lots?

The props are included in the Mega Pack, and will be used in a small filler lots upload later on. ;)

How about a mirrored version of "Rehbinder 1904"?  ::)

It would fill a gap, wouldn't it?  &Thk/(

EDIT: A mirrored "Meriranta 1921" would be fine, too.  ;)

I could only find the building props on the LEX, are You going to release the diagonal W2W buildings lotted too?
It would be great for ignorant and lazy people like me...  ;D
Oh, I forgot to say that these are among the best things I´ve seen in terms of diagonal buildings for the game so far...
Keep up the good work!

Sim Shady

I would like to echo Swesims comments.  I understand several lots were completed already.  However, I have tried to get the diagonal buildings aligned properly in the lot editor and i can see it is very hard, so plenty of kudos to anyone that successfully lots those.

BTW, any tips for getting the lots to be consistant/ buildings to align evenly?

Thanks again for making these Prepo, what can i say, theyre freaking amazing  ;D

RippleJet

Your wait for the diagonals is over!

14 diagonal w2w lots were uploaded just now!

Kannatti valvoa!

YES..YESSS!  $%Grinno$%

Something to add:

prepo's work is really stunning. I admit, I'm good batter but look at his work. My diagonals will never be as good as his, neither my "straight" bats. Round shapes, texturing, details. Everything is awesome. Like roofs: prepo's rooftextures are stunning and because I suck with photoshop, I can't create rusty metal -> never as good bats. Also prepo is master of different styles: functionalism, national romantic, empire and also 60's.
This man is a real gift for SimCity4 community. Best batter ever - better than Goober, porkissimo or several other masters.

I have tried to mirror some of my buildings before but it didn't work, gmax messed the texture mappings, I guess there is a bug in gmax or bat..?
Anyway, couldn't you use my Stickmann building for those gaps?

I guess Meriranta is the inner curve building.. (RippleJet gave the names : ) .. maybe I make it in future, who knows..

Here is a forgotten one.. maybe it will be released some day in vol. 2 :)

Prepo, the way you mirror things in gmax is to group all the objects (except the lights) into one and then under the roll out attach a mirror modifier. Don't use the mirror tool at the top as it will mess up the textures and is actually broken, but the mirror modifier does function correctly. Once you've mirrored everything using the modifier move the lights back into their proper position (they have to be done separately as they'll mess up the mirror). This is how I have done it and why all of my corner buildings come with both a left and a right version.

Great, thanks. I need to try that..

@ prepo:

Thank you for your reply!  :)

In the meantime I've found a solution - I BATted one of the requested buildings by myself:

Thank you also for creating such wonderful and useful buildings!  &apls

That's a neat one, N1_2888!
However, I have to agree with the others who commented, the colour of the wall textures is too bright!

Maybe ...  ;) I'm quite satisfied with it.  ;D
I BATted it only because I want to create an étoile like Place Charles de Gaulle in Paris.

@ prepo:
This "forgotten building" ... is it for diagonal 90° corners that include two tiles?

SC4BOY

You've done some great work here!! Love the bats.. its not a common structure type in the US, but on my trips to Europe over the years, I think you've done a nice job. I also like your pics from Finnish cities.. I love this market (at least that's what it looks like) >>> I think that would make a nice model.. :)

From Helsinki:

Wow, SC4BOY, that picture by Petteri Järvinen (who is an author in the biggest Finnish computer magazine, "Tietokone"), is from the island of Katajanokka.
Several of the names for Prepo's orthogonal w2w buildings (yet to be released) I have taken from streets on this very island. :)

The market in the foreground is the "Wanha Satama" = "Old Harbour", and it is indeed a market... but mostly a market of beer, food and some souvenirs for tourists coming from Sweden by Viking Line, the terminal of which is just outside the picture to the left.

The big harbour warehouse to the left is today the Grand Marina Hotel, which would also make a beautyful addition to SC4! ::)

The orthogonal buildings of prepo...oohh...I'm dying for them :P
But, because I name my buildings too after streets of Helsinki, could you a) avoid naming them with same streets what I've used and b) tell me the names after you have decided them, so I don't name mine with same streets :)

Hmm hmm.. $%#Ninj2

So far none of the names you have used, have collided with any of the names I've used for Prepo's lots. ;)

If you place Prepo's MEGA pack in your plugins folder and open LE, you will see all his orthogonal buildings as props, with proper names! ::)
