Haha.... great. The happy couple was starring in their own blast. They will never be forgotten for the joy they gave all of us with this exploding cake. October 18th will be Happy Couple Explosion Day from now on.

...that took place when these two happy citizens, here ogled for the very last time by a surveillance camera, tried to operate a faulty gas oven...

mmmm, it doesn't look like he's looking at the roast or into her eyes, wonder what may have caught his attention   :o

A glimpse of a bit of cleavage and disaster follows. Well at least he left this world with a little bit of bliss on his mind  ::)

Russell, nicely done. And don't worry about Balnavia, RL comes first  :)

Cheers

Dave

Thank you for the link, have been there before, but did not see those, I also founf some other delights to download.

My my, a 'gas-leak' indeed, the Gods should just admit they wanted to give their people a simply glorious dawn-break surprise, they should be honoured with such delights.

I believe those blissians did not use the "officialy approved, Blissian Pantheon of gods recommended, standardised issue, safety, gas, oven and cooking apliance" which should be installed
in every Bliss home  &apls

quite a bang &hlp

Dear Russel,

The Imperial Office for ettiquette had great trouble defining the right title to adress the Gods of Bliss. so they sticked to "your Majesty" we hope this trifle won't trigger a war or something like that. ;D

Urban: Thank you. And please inform the ambassadora that a special invitation soon will arrive in the diplomatic mail.  ;)

Pat: Thanks. Who would have thought that this MD would ever be 15 pages long? Not me anyway. &Thk/(

Sebes: Happy Couple Explosion Day? What a wonderful idea. From now on, it will be celebrated on a regular basis.  ;D

Thundercrack83: Thank you, I do love making those explosions. More will come, I assure you.  ;)

Bat: Thanks, I'm doing my very best.  :)

Tooheys: Thank you, you are very observant.  ;) Will drop by Balnavia soon after my long absence to see what has happened there - am sure it will be grand, as always.

Shadow Assassin: That was a witty remark.  :D

Emperor Stormont: Thank you for your visit, glad to provide you with the link.  :)

Strechnitz: Dear Strech, your visits are always welcome. Thank you for that... and for the invitation! :sunny:

After vainly trying to endure the ordeal (or should I say failure?) called SimCities Societies, I swiftly and promptly returned to my beloved SC4 - but for various reasons, I had to uninstall it, thus losing every single city I had ever built. So I had to start all over again... with a new Bliss, the same old clutter as its lost predecessor. And just as before, no space is wasted on such vanities as parks, landmarks or monuments, just habitats to house as many happy citizens as possible to worship the ruling Gods.

*

More will follow in the next - and more proper - update, but now, I have to prepare the upcoming new year's eve-celebration.

*

Happy new year everybody!

Wonderful to see it back, and indeed some 'modern' architecture, nice to see the Gods approve of such things.

I would cry if I had to restart Atlantis (which has just reminded me to back-up  ;) )

I'm looking forward to what you have in store for us Russell in this new year

Emperor Stormont: Very kind of you to stop by and comment  :) Good that you decided to back-up, I didn't (huge mistake).

Sebes: Thank you, and it really was the ultimate explosion, obliterating a region with more than 30 million inhabitants...but these things happen.

Thundercrack83: Glad to be back and that you think Bliss still looks good.  :)

Bat & Pat: Thanks  :)

Strechnitz: Thank you dear Strech, hopefully I'll be able to live up to your expectations when my regular life gets back to normal and I can contrentrate on SC4 again.

Tooheys: Thanks, and explosions are coming, I assure you.

Urban: Yes, everything is gone, and it feels overwhelming to start from the beginning again...but sometimes these things happen. Thanks for stopping by.  :)

Nothing special this time, because I'm terribly distracted by real life-issues, only some images from my weekend with Bliss - but I am planning a major diplomatic event involving some of the regimes that have acted friendly towards Bliss. More about that the next time.

Evening in Bliss.

An almost complete section of the city, very spacious indeed because of the canals; to the left stands two sacred obelisks, erected by the living Gods to commemorate the beginning of this new chapter in Blisstory, I mean history.

Before.

After. I like the before better.

One of the holy buildings where the happy citizens can pray to their ruling Gods.

Another holy building.

A temple that looks almost exactly like the Notre Dame in Paris. Note the golden statue in front of it, the only statue in town.

bat

Really great update there! And great work with the canals!
