Thanks for the rail cars! Already downloaded them and preparing to put them to use

MIncroabl:  you're welcome!  I'm glad you like them. ;D

OK, it's been a while since I've posted one of my "nooner" BATs. :D  Here's a pic of the one I did during lunch.  It's a simple little  1x4 building that will go on a canal, in one of my cities.  I don't know what was made there, since the caption, on the pic I took it from, simply said, "factory on canal".  That's really unhelpful for trying to name it. :P  Anyway, here's a test render pic (untextured).  Cheers!

rooker1

Maybe you could make a canal dam, 1 x 1 right and left and a 1 x 1 center piece.  Than it could be a small dam power plant.    ;)

Robin

Robin, you should have to stand in the corner for that pun :D

Hmm a long narrow building....they make yardsticks and rulers....someday when they grow...they hope to measure up to the competition :'(
Sometimes I go into my own little world....but it's ok, they know me there.

oldrogue...... :D......if I have to stand in the corner, so do you for that line.

Nice and keep up great work Jestarr. &apls

Yes, great work so far on that building! And wonderful work on all your buildings!

Hogmeister

Oh for the days of long lunches, lol. It's amazing how so much can be achieved in such a limited time by someone with real talent. These types of building are perfect for a young growing town, so the more the merrier, many thanks.  &apls :)

It was brought to my attention, that the plop cost for the Replogle Globe Factory was excessive. ::)  I've uploaded a patch file for those who've already downloaded the file.  Just run the patch installer and it will overwrite the original, as long as you've retained the default installer path.  Also, there's no need to bulldoze anything since the IID's are the same.  I'll upload a full update as soon as I can.  Cheers!

oldrogue

Thanks for that patch.....I've always kind of wondered why Replogle was so expensive compared to the rest of them.....

oldrogue:  You're welcome!  Unfortunately, my brain and fingers aren't always on the same sheet of music. :P

So, for those following my lunchtime endeavors, here's a pic of the latest.  The caption said "tire warehouse", but since there weren't any in evidence and the only truck at the dock had a furniture store label, that may be in error.  As is usual, any textures are there for visual appeal and are strictly temporary. :D  Here's the pic.  Cheers!

oldrogue

Hmmmm very intriguing!  This could be very sweet...

xxdita

I quite like that one. Could work well as ID, IM or CS$. Very nice!

Sim Shady

You're telling me those textures are only temporary?!? but OMG man they already look so good :)

Hogmeister

If that's a sample of the quality of the design on the loading bay side, I can't wait to see the street frontage, hehe. You certainly know how to wet ones appetite for more.

hydra

This is going to look good when finish like all of your work.

jestarr

Sim Shady:  Thank you, but they really do need a little work. :)

Hogmeister:  Thanks and I hope the building lives up to your expectations.

Hydra:  Thanks.  Your comments are always appreciated.

So, I've gotten a little farther along with the warehouse.  I'm a little unhappy with parts of it, especially the skylights (they'll be modified some), but it's getting closer to done.  I also have a pic of my newest lunchtime effort. :D  This one will be CS$ and fit on a 5x2 tile.  There'll be two restaurants, a pub, and the last I haven't decided on yet.  It'll probably end up a convenience store, betting shop or a newsy.  Cheers!

oldrogue

Good on ya for both....I do agree about the skylights.... ;D  ... how about a liquour store for the remaining shop?  I was plopping a downtown area today, and realized there is a certain lack of those.

The skylights are certainly distracting from the rest of the building. I don't know whether you should switch them from vertical to horizontal or just scrap them altogether.

I recomend (about skylights) to reduce the down to one for each set of 3 windows, and turn them the other way.
