After some channel surfing in my swanky Monkey Island hotel room, I found a few good shows to watch. Wanna grab a seat and watch with me? Here's what's on the prime time line up for tonight.

8 PM (Banana Channel) A divorce attorney with a pet chimpanzee writes a TV pilot with a sheepherder who never shaves. Stars John Goodman and Marg Helgenberger.

There's sure to be mayhem in this penthouse!

8 PM (Central Chimp Network) A barista who has lost everything to drinking competes for a prime job against a gorgeous blonde-wigged orangutan who's been abducted by aliens. Stars Eugene Levy and Carol Kane.

There's gonna be a whole latte conflict in this melodrama!

8:30 PM (Tamarin World) A conductor whose touch is deadly reviews bad theater with a compulsive liar who eats unripened bananas. Stars Karim Abdul Jabbar and Max von Sydow.

Two non-opposable thumbs up for this one!


8:30 PM (Banana Channel) A baker who can turn invisible stalks a womanizer who can see the future. Stars Dabney Coleman and David Arquette.

Umm, there's gonna be a cleanup needed on Aisle 6.

9 PM (King Kong International) A caveman with an all-or-nothing attitude befriends a trained chimpanzee who's on the lam. Stars Cheryl Ladd and William H. Macy.

Good news! I didn't just save 10% on my car insurance by switching to Geico... I also saved you from the long, knuckle-dragging arms of the law! It was so simple that.... Well, let's just say that it was simple.

9 PM (Baboonitainment)  An acrobat with a shady past is forced to work for a carpenter who only speaks in pig latin. Stars Donna Summer and Sarah Chalke.

That flying monkey is great with an ammerhay! Now, to see if he can ixfay the framing work in the hoppingcentersay...

10 PM (Central Chimp Network) An oil magnate without any shame travels the world in a hot air balloon with a misunderstood Curious George Fan Club Executive who doesn't speak Monkey. Stars Hugo Weaving and Missy Elliot.

Ooh Ohh? Is that "Fly west till dawn" or is it "land now before we get into Piranhaland Airspace"?

Well, I don't watch TV (you just reminded me why! ) but I do watch Monkey Island. Glad to see you back, but too bad Oodfa Ionla ran out of ananabas.

Oh, did I mention that I love the photos? If not, I love the photos, but turn off that darn TV!

Too many rubbish shows on TV these days which is why I threw mine out when it broke 15 years ago.
Best decision I ever made was not to replace it. So had to watch this update on my friends 

Great pics my friend, and yes what fun could be had in that penthouse??

Jmouse   lol! You see what the Hollywood writers' strike has done to us! Hopefully, some great new sitcoms will come out of Monkey Island now that the strike is over.

TheTeaCat   No TV? We need to talk to your local television service provider about providing access to Monkey Island stations... you'll be getting a 3 meter wide plasma TV in no time! Looks like you had a great time at the concert! Ya know, they are looking for some roadies to go on tour with them.... Interested?

I'm not a TV fan (as some your other visitors  ) but:

1. I like Monkey Island a lot - the world you created is very rich, vibrant and funny! 
2. I'm sure the monkey TV is not such stupid as an average human TV  it is simply impossible 
So maybe it would be good to order some of channels you presented?
