@rusummer1 and anyone else unfamiliar, Heres the thing, the download button doesn't show unless you are logged into the bsc exchange. So you could be logged into the forums, you click on the link, but the download button is missing, it is because for what ever reason, the exchange is seperate from the forums, and requires another login to be able to see a download button. Other than that, I don't know how this problem would exist.

Haven't had the time to use this, but of course: thanks in advance. It will probably be even more perfect (can something be beter than perfect?) than the older version.
I have no words to really thank you. Just: thank you!

One small thing though: everytime I install a new version of NAM I seem to have forgotten which pathfinding and capacity setting I used... So I hope I installed the same version as before. Stupid of me of course.
Could it be possible to put the Euro road textures into the NAM?

Maybe closer to perfect would be a better expression.  :D

Given that there are new pathfinding plugins etc this time around I would suggest you have a quick read up on them and then install one of them.  But you should also be able to go to your existing NAM folder and check which one you already have.  They are named quite well.  You can keep this by copying and pasting it back in after you install the New NAM.

This is kept as a seperate download for a couple of reasons.  Not everyone wants it, and to keep the main NAM file size down.

As I was installing and paying attention to the pup ups telling me what is what, I noticed that the A & B mods have switched the easy and hard options.  In the NAM pathfinding update the easy mods had more capacity and now the hard mods have the most capacity.  Or have I read the pop ups for the options wrong?  I installed the hard A mod which said it had the most capacity, I hope that's right.

Well, the easy one is supposed to have the highest capacity, and the hard one the least . . .

Edit: Just checked the installer.  It seems the descriptions aren't exactly accurate. ::)  In terms of Simulators A and B, in order of lowest-to-highest capacity, it's Hard, Medium, then Easy.

Thanks Tarkus, thought I was getting loopy.  I'll redo the installation, no biggie.

BTW - Thanks for a great mod.

Yeah, I messed up the descriptions in the installer accidentially, sorry about that. &ops Of course, "easy" has a much higher capacity, as stated in the readme.

I ran the Cleanitol and came up with these things needed to be removed.

NAM_Congestion_Data_View.dat (NAM_Congestion_Data_View.dat)  found in C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Network Addon Mod\NAM Traffic Simulator
NAM_Traffic_Plugin_AP_Easy.dat (NAM_Traffic_Plugin_AP_Easy.dat)  found in C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Network Addon Mod\NAM Traffic Simulator
NAM_Congestion_Data_View.dat (NAM_Congestion_Data_View.dat)  found in C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Network Addon Mod\Plugins
NetworkAddonMod_Traffic_Plugin_BetterPathfinding_CAM_PromoteWalking.dat (NetworkAddonMod_Traffic_Plugin_BetterPathfinding_CAM_PromoteWalking.dat)  found in C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\z_CAM
S3Dconfig_NAMPuzzlePiecesAvenue_CrosswalkPositionFix_20070603.dat (S3Dconfig_NAMPuzzlePiecesAvenue_CrosswalkPositionFix_20070603.dat)  found in C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Crosswalks Pattern Mod

Do I remove them? I know that this might seem silly but I don't want to remove anything I don't need to.  ()stsfd()

I already uninstalled the old NAM.

NAM_Congestion_Data_View.dat (NAM_Congestion_Data_View.dat)  found in C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Network Addon Mod\NAM Traffic Simulator

This has been included in the new NAM and should be removed.

This has been included in the new name and must be removed.

It looks like you had two of these.

NetworkAddonMod_Traffic_Plugin_BetterPathfinding_CAM_PromoteWalking.dat (NetworkAddonMod_Traffic_Plugin_BetterPathfinding_CAM_PromoteWalking.dat)  found in C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\z_CAM

This is a conflict file with the "NAM_Traffic_Plugin_AP_Easy.dat" and only one may exist at once or the one that loads last will be the one in use.

Im not entirely sure what this one is.  Sounds like a texture change you have downloaded which is similar to the Zebra Textures.  But if it is in the Cleanitol it is probably included in the NAM Installer or is a conflicting file of some sort.

This is the mod, Crosswalks Pattern Mod. I was reading the RHW thread and was  also wondering if it would be a good idea to delete my NAM folder then install the new NAM then the RHW, moving my bridges to a temp place in the mean time.

You just need to be registered for the LEX in order to download it. The LEX registration is separate from forum registration.

And welcome to SC4D!  :)

hi all, first i would like to say happy birthday to the NAM Team.. thanks for the great additions to sc4..
honestly, i don't know which is the better place to put this question, so here it goes..
i have downloaded the latest NAM (April 2008), and i love the double height elevated networks.. however, i couldn't find the double height elevated heavy rail.. is it not included in the latest NAM? if not, would it be possible to add it in the next NAM?
thank you all..

Andreas

There is no double height elevated heavy rail (yet). ;)

I've figured out that pesky 1 pixel offset problem.  All I had to do was rotate or flip my NAM IIDed textures properly.
before and after:

My only question now is is there something in the NAM DAT files that defines the rotation of the pieces to be something other than what the 0,0 position of the maxis roads are?  The NAM textures that are off by 1 pixel (like the 2 road tiles north of the intersection in first pic) are being rotated or flipped.  The road being 79 pixels wide and not possible to center properly on a tile that is an even number of pixels across is why you get the misalignment... it's my opinion that the roads should be made to be 80 pixels wide (@ 128x128) and streets, OWR, whatever should all be made an even number of pixels wide to avoid anymore 1 pixel offset issues.  Regular road textures are all I've looked into I'm not sure if this issue exists in other transit textures or not.
