Nice update Casper, but have you considered to make the airport smaller. As you said, the airport was unrealistic, but haven't you tried to make it more real?

And maybe you can use some beautification at the highways (maybe some singage?)

I'm intrigued by the highway under the runway, that should make for an interesting drive.

There's an RL example of that. Near Schiphol (Amsterdam Airport) the highway A5 goes under a taxiing-track of the airport, and the highway itself is going inbetween two runways

Hi Casper,

You've done a good job on the airport as far as I can see.  I'm no airport expert, so I don't see anything wrong with it .   I like the way you've planted some park type things out front of the terminal, certainly brightens it up.

I'm intrigued by the highway under the runway, that should make for an interesting drive.

And is Iceland a popular desination for Caperians?

First of all, some information about what the PPSC Competition actually is... 

The Planning Pages Sport Competition (you are allowed to say PPSC) is the TPP version of ST's Simlympics. Just like the Simlympics, cities bid to host the Simlympics and regions all across the community compete during the Competition to win medals. The next TTPC Competition will take place on August 8th, and will last for an approximate of about 2 weeks. All SC4D MDers are allowed, and encouraged to take part as a competer within the competition, however, in order to be able to place a bid, you have to open your MD (there called CJ) at TPP (as well).

Maarten: Thanks, I've tried various sign packs, but most are rendered offcentered for only one tile, and do thus make awkward sidewalks (and texture conflicts) appear on the RHW. Of course, I could've tried your pack of signs/barriers that are T21, but I haven't done so yet 
Paroch: Thank you, the Iceland Airlines planes were actually chartered by the prime minister of Iceland, who went to take a look at stadiums under construction for the PPSC Competition Bid.

Update 7: Chilcombe City's PPSC Bid
In this update I will show the various venues Chilcombe City has, to accomodate hosting the PPSC Competition.


Some condominiums originally built for social housing, but it's now been decided that they will be used as housing for the PPSC Athletes. On the other side of the street lays a running track (by Jayo) and a small soccer field. The condominiums' lots are custom lots by me, and are not functional.


The "Whide Canal", that crosses Chilcombe City right through it's middle. Can eventually be used for the rowing competition, but nowadays more used for tourists who buy themselves a pedalo.


One of the most exclusive (and expensive) hotels in Chilcombe, the St. Davids Hotel and Spa, close to the Chilcombe Skating Arena.


A medium-sized athletics and soccer stadium.


And of course... the main venue for the 2008 PPSC Chilcombe Bid; this huge (capacity 100k) stadium, with glass roofing.

Waw Casper - the airport... is allemaggies mooi man!. It's very realistic, and perfect. I especially like the colourfull flowerbed between the terminal building and the drop-off zone. Exellent. My own pathetic attempt is not worth being shown anymore I guess...  Or, I have to make a new one - man you raised the bar now 

The exit from Highway 2 to the airport made me laugh - you hired the same drunk engineering company that Tarkus' once hired in Argentum... but he got rid of them and their constructions as well.

The stadiums and sports grounds/waters shown for the PPSC are also of extreme high quality - especially the last picture with the main stadium is making me want to participate in the tournament ...

One of the abundant parks, but there can be only one with the Republic of Chilcombe Congress Hall 
This is one of the more classic buildings in Chilcombe, and also a big tourist attractor.
