The airport isn't too bad, it's simple which makes it more realistic in the long run. I like the landscaping in front of the terminal buildings, a good use for all that flower stuff you can get.

Nice facilities for your event. The lawn by that stadium is good, but I think for a large number of spectators it would be realistic to have just a large open area, perhaps with specific activities and booths.
War Kittens !?

Some great new pictures there in update 7! And the teaser is fantastic!

Who is in favour of a new update; I am for sure  ::)

Replies
EQ: Thanks for your kind comments!
Sebes: Thanks for the comment, the engineers and the traffic system are overfunded in the Republic, so they have to spend the money on odd offramp configurations...
Maarten: Thanks; actually, I had a plugin issue; and the whole canal just dissappeared, and didn't return after I put the plugin back in, so I had to redo the whole canal  ::)
Alfred.Jones: Muhahahaha!
art128: Thanks for your ongoing support, always appriciated :)
Zaphod: Thanks, the entrances to all of the stadiums are actually organized by another overfunded corporation, and they've thought of an innovative solution about getting into the stadiums, that I've yet to explain  ;)
Bat: Thank you!

Update 8: more PPSC bids...
I can't stress it enough people, take part of the PPSC Competition, it will be awesome for sure! (link in the previous update)
I will mainly be focussing on touristic and cultural attractions around Chilcombe City; and it's abundance of parks  ()stsfd()
Also, the newly-built stadiums and venues will be named after persons who have continually supported this MD; congrats on you all :)
If your name isn't here yet; chances are big they'll be in the next update  ;)

The Chilcombe Library. A very modern library that was built in commemoration of the 60th birthday of World War II. Something went wrong with the editing here, sorry!

Old Chilcombe, one of the few preserved historic sites in the Chilcombe Region, and famous for its American style while it's the heart of Europe.

The Alfred Arena & Sebes Olympic Pool; close to Bat Park, built especially for the PPSC Bid.

The Whide Canal, close to Maarten Museum; famous for it's temporary exhibition about museums all over the world. The pedestrian bridge isn't named yet.

The Competition Statue in the middle of the Competition Park (creative corporations seem to be underfunded) Don't say the paths don't always match up; the statue is in it's original lot; and was not made to be completely compliant with the BSC Park set

And last but not at least; the June Look-out and the Congress Hall. The look-out is a relot created by me; that I'm preparing to be scrutinized  :)

I'm glad we've passed the 3000 views and nearing the 150 posts already; comments are (as always) much appreciated :)

As always, you have made a wonderful update casperveg!

I really like that blue building in the second picture.  And your 2008 PPSC bid looks promising too!

Deja vu..........I think I have seen these ecact same pictures somewhere else......
Oh well, great update.
Your city seems to have a very nice simetry about it. I see that the buildings are of similiar height and very well choosen for the area, at least what you have shown us. There are a few things that I would have done different, but, hey, that's just me.  (hehe)
See ya around,
Robin

Update 9: Askerswells' part of the bid
First of all I would like to apoligize for the small scale of today's update, but I've been quite busy and 2 pictures I took corrupted in Clip2Pic

Askerswell will not host that much venues, but it will be the main place for athletes to rest and train. Therefor, a huge complex is being constructed with inside it an horse-riding track, baseball field, soccer fields, football/soccer combination field, a running track and 3 tennis courts.
It will all be in one, huge, lot (30x20 tiles); that spans over 153 600 square meters (1653336 square feet, if i'm not mistaken) of training area.

Some of the Athlete's housing.

The construction site at dawn, not my favorite of pictures.

Update 10: Harpenden: Let's fly away
This is another rather small (5 pictures) update, showing the town of Harpenden, in which the airport and various highquality hotels are located.

A not-so-busy day it is.

One of the only stadiums Harpenden has, the Emtec Stadium.

Nighttime...

Still nighttime...

Okay, I must agree that this update wasn't really impressive as I've been really busy with the bidding process and lotting for it.
There's a chance that this will be the last update on Chilcombe, and that I'm moving on to a new region that I'm planning at the moment, suggestions for names are alway appreciated aswell. I hope you've enjoyed Chilcombe and please comment.

Note: Bidding for PPSC stays!
