Seeing how popular vector-based maps are these days, I decided to try my luck.
It's still unfinished at the moment, and it has nothing to do with Chilcombe, but with a new region..  $%Grinno$%

I have totally ended this MD, thanks to everyone for their support.

It was a great ride Casper! I am sad to see it go   :'(.

Do you have any plans for making a new MD?  Casper's Capitals definitely showed us that you have what it takes when it comes to making a fantastic MD!   ;)

Best,
-Haljackey

After some doubts during my vacation, I have decided to open this MD up again. Please read the first post thoroughly if you wish to gather more information about how this MD will be set up, and to avoid problems later.
Updates may not be very regular, but you can count on at least one update a week.

For now, I will leave you with a teaser that I made a few weeks ago, but an update is coming later today or tomorrow.

Replies: Highsbury Groves
Pat: Thanks alot, I hope you like this update as much  :)

Update 1: Highsbury Groves

19th Century housing and a modern rail station.

Highsbury Central Stations needs a lot of underground parking, and the developers decided that a park above it would look quite nice.

Two-track station at the end of an avenue.

The Sheraton-hotel looks over Vida Park and the local football pitch.

Suburbs along an avenue.

A guarded parking where the locals can park their car at night.

The intersection of some of Highsbury's main arteries. During the construction of the new rail viaducts, the only brewery in Highsbury went bankrupt, because he couldn't deliver his ales to the local pub on the other side of the viaduct. The whole area is now selected for a new park.

Some rare mediumrise buildings in Highsbury, close to a T-intersection between two avenues with slip lanes. It has been decided to widen the avenue coming from the South (at the bottom of the picture), to have 4 lanes in each direction, and make it continue further northbound, to relieve the traffic that after the construction of the viaduct, have to pass over a narrow bridge that spans over Cromwell Canal.

Ricksman Highschool is notorious for its suicidal students, who made "jumping into the basket goal from the roof" a local sport. A brand new hospital is planned near this site.

Well, that was the first update for Highsbury. I hope you've enjoyed it, and that you will comment.  ()stsfd()

you're right I do casper!!! Talk about making a jump shot into the basket geesh, I can see why the city planners would want a hospital near that school  :D Also the park abouve the underground parking is fantastic, i simply love the layout of it!!!

Yey! This great MD is ressurected!  ;D

The Highbury Grooves look great! The canal in the last picture is suberb!

The park near Highsbury Central Station is also nice! But I think that there's too many parking entrances. I think it would look better without one or two.  ;)

Other wise than that, great work! &apls

A hearty welcome back. This is a very nice low density area you have here. I look forward to seeing more of it.
