Sheep49: Hmm, I actually thought about that myself good idea. By the way, there is no canal is the last picture  :P
Schulmanator: Thanks, hope you enjoy this update as much

Update 2: Highsbury Groves

One of the main arteries to downtown Stechford, there are plans to widen it to have 12 lanes and a full highway capacity (double RHW-6?). It would be the first highway in the whole area, and conveniently called 'A1'.

Suburbs.

An upgraded-avenue intersection (sometimes the OWRs and sometimes the avenue intersects - never the two together) at the top; and a crappy Maxis policestation at the bottom. Maybe I should go download some civic buildings...

Another intersection and some malls and suburbs nearby.

The start of an upgraded avenue when it passes a large canal.
No mistakes this time, Sheep49!  :P

Well, this update was a little small, but I hope you've enjoyed it and will thus comment  ::)

Well, I guess this MD is back on track.  A new name?  That's interesting!

Nice job with the wide avenues!  I like how they intersect with the roundabouts!

Best,
-Haljackey

Sheep49

The last two pictures (of the last update) didn't load last time.  ;)

This update is as wonderful as the last one. By the way, I can't wait for A1!

Indeed there's no mistakes this time, Casper  :D

Haljackey: Thanks, I found "Casper's Capitals" not to describe the cities I mainly create; since capitals are mostly metropolises, and I don't make those too often.
Sheep49: Oh I see, no problem. Thanks again!
art128: Good point.. I never really thought about that, too be honest. Perhaps I can correct the situation in an upcoming update.

Update 3: Highsbury Groves
The second update on one day, don't get used to it please!  :P

Low-wealth dwellers on the Revolution Avenue.

A suburban station on one of the embanked rail lines.

The back of Highsbury Central Station. I should have taken a picture when a train drove through...

Suburbs near an avenue underpass, designed by Marrast Engineering Inc.

These Highburians are enclosed by railroad curves... These houses are precious estate among trainspotters.

A rare Plus-Intersection between two avenues, near Constellation Memorial School.

Suburbs at the edge of two football fields.

A small stripmall in the suburbs.

A rare Ghetto-area in Highsbury.

You guys must've became bored seeing all these suburbs... Now that I come to think of it, do I ever show something else, or build it for that matter?

The DoubleTree Hotel (for some reason it's logo makes me think about sexual happenings...) near more suburbs.

Well, that's really it for today. I hope you've enjoyed this update; and I'll show of something else then suburbs in the next update (more like Pitcairn Island)

Nice updates, Casper! You say in update two that you want to upgrad an avenue into a highway. Maybe you can make the A1 with a El-Highway and two OWR's parrallel to the highway. The road then ins still accessable for buildings on side of the roads. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the A1 (I just love highways!)

I'm looking forward for more!

Maarten: Hmm, that's a pretty good idea, but I'm not that much of a fan of Elevated Highways. Perhaps I can use the HRS  ::)
art128: Thanks, both for your reply as for your continuing support!
rooker1: Thank you, I try to make the transit setup as realistic as possible.
bat: Thanks alot!

Update 4: Eaton Ostinsel
Some time ago, a german player of who I don't remember the name (oops!) started a cooperative region development project, but somehow the whole project suddenly disappeared, but I kept the region as I liked it a lot (and there was no terraforming - tree planting to be done  ::)) and I've started to lay out some roads, highways and intercity and interregional railroads on it, utilizing the FAR(R) project.

Highspeed train passes through the area.

The train passes over a wide S-curve.

The only on-grade intersection in the whole quad. Excuse my crappy Photoshop Cloning  :D

The train keeps it's top speed, while it makes a smooth curve northbound.

D425 (Provincial Road 425) passes under the railroad.

R1 (Railroad 1) passes under E17 (Highway 17)

No FARR without FAR.

D425, D180 and D094 intersect on a roundabout.

An overview shot

R1 underpassing the E17, and the D717 intersecting with it.

More provincial roads intersection on a roundabout.

I hope you have enjoyed this update, and please comment. It's always appreciated.

Update 5: Eaton Ostinsel
As you all liked the previous update, I've decided to do another one

Parallel train and road near the lake.

Provincial roads intersect and underpass the railroad.

The train passes along a RHW-start.

The track curves gradually.

Huge freight train passes by a guarded on-grade intersection.

Another road underpasses the railroad.

A long stretch of FARR.

More curving.

A Touristic Road ends at Gainsboro River. Although it has a stone bed, it's a popular place for midsummer swimming, and some canoes have also been spotted.

All good things come to an end, including the Gainsboro River, who is directed into a underground canal here, and today's update.

I hope you've enjoyed watching it, and as always, please comment :)
