Ooooh! I love the map of Corpus Christi, it looks great! Having lived there for five years, I especially like it. ;) Although yeah, you missed some of the western part of the city.

Can't wait for it to be released.

Just dropping by to announce that the requested Hampton Roads map converted without issue, even though I had to finish drawing in some of the tributaries and small rivers.  It's an 8x8 large tile map and all I have left to do is render the map.  I'll have pics of the map posted among the five new maps making their pictorial debut tomorrow.

Wow! That's great news, Blade.

On the latest maps, I like the way that Philly one turned out, and the mountains look pretty interesting on the Olympia one.

I see your stomach is doing the thinking for ya again :P ....all kidding aside, thanks.  I compressed over and over again, futzing with the elevations and such, but no go.  All I could get were the two big lakes.

Very kool indeed.

  • Madison, WI = one of my favorite towns. and only an hour and one half away from here.
  • Asheville, NC = Lived in Franklin, NC which is probably on the SW edge of this map.
  • Kansas City = Spent some time there.    Land is laid out very kool there with the flood plain.
These are all deffinately must haves.
;D

daaaaaaaaaaaaang Troy what are you doing 125 mph to get to madison in 2.5 - 3 hrs lol... it takes me at 70 mph just about 4 hours to get there, well then again I am about 20 - 30 minutes from you...  Ohh that reminds me of a good one "you know you live in wisconsin when you give a time frame versus mileage" lol

On a real note here Troy I have noticed upon further looking on the Madison Map that on the left side that the highway (I-39) has actualy show up...

Freeways have this bad habit of showing up on a lot of maps lately.  They must be built up higher than the elevation around them.....

Hey Troy,

On the Nashville map, I think you should run the river off the map on right hand side whether it is accurate or not.  Stopping the way it does looks a little strange in my opinion.

The same goes for the Chattanooga Tennessee map.  ;) Although I guess it could be fed by that small tributary.

As for the Cape Cod maps.... :o.....great work.

Now you are really confusing me about what map I should try next.

I believe those river stopages at the edges of the maps are dams or somthing, but yeah, I was planning on running the rivers off the edge of the map....there are a few other maps that have this same issue.

Actually Troy, that's a great idea.  A dam with Plop water in the space there would look pretty awesome.
Very fitting.
Robin  ;)

blade2k5

That's what I was thinking, but I may do another version with the rivers running off the edge of the two maps and package them together and let the downloader decide which one they want.
