@ ShadeSlayer:

Freakin' awesome! Must have takin' ages! Witch road texture is this? I haven't seen it for a while and have forgotten. ;D

ShadeSlayer

Oh thanks man.

You know, I've never quite figured out where I got it -- I definitely don't remember downloading it.

I will say, almost every intersection in this thread has been great, but honestly, a lot of them I would never make, because they are way to large, and I always generally zone my basic infrastructure before I start zoning, so I can avoid issues where I would need a convoluted interchange/intersection

allan_kuan1992

I have to agree. Looks great from realism perspective, but they are HUGE space consumers (there are many ways where space can be saved in RL that can not  be applied here).

This is sort of another intersection technically I guess.  There are two entrances to the parking area of my theme park, and I want to know which one you like better...the top one or the bottom one.  The top one has all correct paths, the bottom one has some incorrect paths due to the lot used.  I wish there were better toll booths...  Anyway, let me know which one you think looks better, and if you have any ideas for a parking entrance, let me know!

The bottom one is more realistic IMO.

The one advantage to the top one though, is that you could have multiple entrances into the parking area for the park though

Here's another one. Not very complicated, but functional and still looks good.

Another Nice intersection Riiga

Riiga, those are the types of intersections I have built, because they are realistic and do not take a lot of land to use for them.  Plus when you add in tree's and open area's, they look great.

I am not saying the huge monstrosities shown earlier are bad, just I want to try and get as many people in my cities as possible, and taking up a huge chunk of a city tile for an interchange is something I try to avoid if possible

Well, along those lines, here is a realistically sized junction between two highways, H-87, and proposed H-187...

Once I fill in the city/scenery, it'll seem more proper.

floydian, now that is awesome. truly great work on the grade countouring, very realistic
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

This would be my first attempt at a RHW interchange, its basic but I thought it turned out decent enough to use... if I had actually built it in a city :D. I also haven't noticed many raised RHW's on the forums, so I figured one might be nice to post.

The entire interchange from The South:

The East tunnel entrance:

The ramp slopes only seem good depending on the angle, so that would be the first thing I want to improve. I might get rid of a few of the big dig pieces and try and bring the ramps around and under the raised RHW as well. Any criticism and improvements are welcome!

mike3775

tengeta520,

Thats a very nice compact interchange you have built.  Looks good, the slopes you mentioned is not as bad as you think it is IMO, as I have driven on some ramps that you think the designers wanted to go for the roller coaster affect when they designed it  :)

Spruce it up with some trees and other details and it would look awesome

Floydian

Another one. H-87 turns from north to east, spurring a short urban carriageway that has no interchanges and isn't defined as a highway. As such, it will be simply named, and not signed as H-387 (As it is known in official documents)

My second attempt at a RHW Interchange. I think it turned out ok...

Edit: This was my first attempt.

Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.

Certainly! That's a decent T-stack interchange
