Wonderful work once again Daniel, the rail line behind buildings looks wonderful and make it realistic as what we can see in Japan. The little park next to the highway is nice and give a bit of "air" to that giant forest. Nice disposition of buildings and roads. All the building you use fit perfectly and make that city looking real. Also, the plaza along the highway is nice too !
Looking forward to more.

Take care,
-Arthur.

Amazing job on the first updates so far. You've really managed to capture a realistic Asian city. Well done!
I just have one question for you, where did you find those maxis highway curves?, or are they just photoshopped in?

sebes

Wow, already a new update!  I enjoyed this one as well.. but no flags out today: they are still wet from yesterdays rain  :P

UPDATE 3: Gujihaya District
(shopping district)

Gujihaya is Hinawa's most exclusive shopping district. Oishna Avenue cuts through the district, dividing it in two, making a junction with Jungu Avenue in front of the Haismu Clockmakers Department Store. Call it the 5th avenue or Oxford Street of the city, all the major designer chains have stores on Oishna Avenue, including several Setonese flagship stores. The Hinawa Metropolitan Expressway circles the district, making it easy to reach any part of the city from this location.

Sony HQ (Left), Japanese Embassy (center), Nintendo Plaza (right) and Mannequin Park in the background.

Oishna Avenue meeting with Jungu Avenue from a different perspective. You can get a clear view of the Coca Cola Building and Apple Store.

Looking at the district facing east. At the bottom, you can see the Seto TV HQ (left) and the Samsung Building (right) peeking up into the mosaic.

UPDATE 4: Mizamotto District
(canal side financial center)

Mizamotto is a district located in the northerneastern section of Hinawa, a couple of miles north of Kubo. It's famous for its canal systems that drain water from the Imperial Gardens back to the Bay of Hinawa. In the past few years, development in the area has skyrocketed, and many historical buildings were demolished to make way for modern skyscrapers. Today, it's an important business district and transit hub because the city's central station is located here.

[ FULL SIZE: http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/7039/bigg.jpg]; A panorama of the district facing east. It shows all the important waterfront buildings and office complexes.

Looking south along the imperial canals. Many embassies and important offices are located in Mizamotto, including the United States & Chinese Embassies.

Hinawa Train Station, the most important transit hub for the city. Over 2 million commuters pass through the station each day. Residents try to avoid this area during rush hour as it gets extremely congested with pedestrians.

An overview of the district at night.

Wow Daniel.. the trainstation is just freakin awesome!  It's almost a palace... I cannot imagine that people avoid this one - I for one would love to sit in a corner and zip my coffee while watching the crowds travelling through this masterpiece of architecture, with probably some great inside halls as well.....
