How long do you play at one sitting?

The only problem my lap turns too hot after a time and it shutdown automatically, i would like an autosave because I have been lost like 4 hours of game playing, I know there is a save reminder but i doesnt works for me...

My longest game playing was at Age Of Empires II with a RPG custom scenario, it took me 48 hours to complete it with a friend...

If I am left alone, I've played 5 or 6 hours straight. When the wife is around, I'm lucky if I can get the game fired up before she wants me to shut it down so she can play Bookworm. She says I'm addicted and she totally doesn't understand my fascination with the game.

I usually play for an hour every morning before work and an hour or two in the evening before bed. If I can't sleep, I'm back in front of the screen until I get drowsy.

I spend most of my time playing the wonderful New Middle Earth map. It is HUGE with a lot of differing terrain. I get absolutely LOST in time when I play that map.

Yes, 25 hours is quite a long time to be playing, though I can understand how someone can do it with SC4.

ok i know i shouldnt bump a thread but it hasnt been dead to long lol only a few weeks.

Well for me my playing SC4D can vary day to day as now i have to share my computer with my wife grrrrrrrrr
i told her to get her own and she didnt like that idea so i comprimissed and share.
she is on during the day and im supposed to be on during the evening well that dont happen till about 8 or even 10
at night so then i get on check the usal stuff i need to check.
so if im on at 8 i start to play around 9pm till almost if i can get cooperation till 2 am lol so my playing time as of late is about 5 hrs and since i had a crash and reinstal sim city im at a fresh start grrrrrrrrrrrrr, but out of the ashes comes beauty so in the time
frame i've learned how to use the canals set from Goober and use more custom content so i think my new reagion even though i think im gonna stick with San Fran, yes its a maxis map but i may change that as i go lol.
Now in my haydays before i discoverd all the fansites and custom content and a wife lol, i mainly used stuff from the main site lol and played SC4D for about any wheres depending on the day 10-15hrs in one sitting every other or even every day wow that is some memories dannnnng. -pat

How long do I play SC4? Ask my wife and she will definately say "too long!" 

Normally 1-2 hours after worth instead of TV (there's almost only garbage there so who cares), sometimes longer at the weekend.
I couldn't play the game for half a year due to hardware problems so after I got my p running again I did play very dense ... Right now workload is rather heavy so that I can hardly update my CJ at ST once in a month (my schedule has been once in a week .... )

Fascinating thread....well am mostly retired myself.   Seem to spend about anywhere from 1 to 3 hours most weekday afternoons playing the game.   Once a week or so will allow myself to just play till the eye lids fall to the desk top ,  Seem to spend an awfully lot of time between here, Pegs and ST, looking for new things to add to the plugins folder........Datpacker.. better than sliced bread....solved most of my crash problems, but happened so many times. am paranoid in not saving everything....  This is the only forum that I spend time in......so that cuts into the playing time....but increases the enjoyment  .....Have had other games over the years, but the SimCity's have been the ones that have kept my attention.

i usually play this game for 4-6 hours a day..... when in a weekend i can play for a whole day ..... but since i get SC4BAT, i start learning this tools.....so, time to play this game reduce to 2-3 hours a day.... also i hate zoom and query crash bug  (even i use DATPaker)..........

atm i usually play late at night when my 3 kids are asleep 4 or 5 hours but before the the children i was a 60 to 70 hours a week man lol, ive just recently come back to sc4 after a 4 year layoff (played Starwars Galaxies 2 years And World of Warcraft for 2 years the last game which i clocked over 112 days real time game play very addictive game imo) so you could call me a hard core gamer which ever game i play, i still manage around 18 to 20 hours sc4 time a week atm

on average, at least an hour at most 4 to 5. 

RL tends to cut into that quite often sadly. there have been a few nights that i've been lost in "my own little world" until the sun comes up

I get time alotted to me by my wife.  From 4:00 pm to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. Thing is, I get home from work at 4:30 pm and she has dinner ready before 6:00pm.  Oh and I get Saturday and Sunday morning from when ever I wake up, about 8:00 am, until my son wakes up, 10:00 am.  So that's about 2 hours.

a few minutes to around 6 hours or more. it really depends on inspiration or pursuing a goal(which really is dependent on inspiration, now that i think of it) lol

After reading a few of the posts in this thread, its interesting to note just how much time we spend playing this game of ours is directly proportional to the amount of time our wives will let us sit in front of the computer.

I think some of us owe our wives a well deserved night out on the town.

i actually spend more time researching in models and finding tutorials than actually playing. most of the time i play i actually do it for testing purposes. otherwise, five hours in total.
