danielcote: Thanks!

Bobbi: Thanks!

jimbojj: Thankyou! t took a while though. Stupid CTDs.

Tomas Neto: Thankyou!

djvandrake: Thanks!

just_a_guy: Thanks! Second part handled in post above...

Today we will look at Abijad Aljakar Island Resort and Spa (whew! now THATS a mouthful!).

Abijad Aljakar's private vacation home...

The island not only contains Atrubia's presidents home but also Shienar's...

Isporos'...

And the Federal Kingdom of Lower Columbia's (a.k.a CJ of Nyhaven).

One of my favorite neighborhoods and right next to the bridge.

The marina...

The power & water supply.

The rail line is also being extended through this city tile. Plans for a freight and passenger station are in the works.

A very prestigous hotel (five star *****).

And thats a wrap! Hope you all enjoyed it!

My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.

BarbarossaS

Really nice update, but I think it's rather weird that in the neighbourhoods and so, the trees aren't palm trees like you'd expect they would be.
Otherwise great work, keep it up!

If a Middle Eastern CJ.... Then why all American/Euro style buildings? ()what() I love this CJ and all, but you should try to downloading buildings that fit into that certian style you're doing. &idea But its your choice and you decide for yourself what you want. I don't mind low and middle density reptition that much anyways.. :-\ It looks better in my point of view. :satisfied: But overall, I can give this a 4.5/5 since not all CJs are perfect. ;D

Anyways... Where did you get that terriain mod and water mod? Perhaps trees too? But I don't want to have a long loading time though. &ops

Battlecat

You've made a few very cool updates recently.  I like the variety of buildings in your latest update!

danielcote

Great sollar power plants! You're new movment of increased rail is a great idea it will bring less congestion to the roads and more ease to commuters.

rooker1

Congratulations for getting your MD into the OSITM!

Congrats!  &apls &apls &apls

adroman

Well done!
This is certainly a MD to watch!

I like the Hotel district... but the towers on the hill look, in my opinion, a bit out of place.

Great job anyway.
737s, Air Force, Australia... what next?

Congrats! I've been lurking around this CJ or MD or whatever you call it. And I must say, this is a wonderful work you've accomplished since the first update. In fact, your first update is entirely better than my work for Middle Eastern cities put together since I never got the style down just right unlike you. I wish I knew how to make transitions of small villages to metropolises and such.

Just on a side note, where did you get those oil refineries and pipes?

sumwonyuno

Wow.  And all this time you were complimenting my region!  It should have been the other way around!  I've skimmed through all 22 pages, and I have to say that you've done an awesome job showcasing the growth of your desert region and showing off your gameplay skills.   &apls  You've definitely deserve being part of this month's special interest mayor diaries.

The City & County of Honolulu, a Mayor Diary based on Honolulu, Hawai'i.

mark's memory address - I've created a blog!

Congratulations, Driftmaster! Hope you enjoy your month in OSITM as much as I'm sure your many loyal fans will! :)

Update 45: A Special OSITM Update!

BarbarossaS: Thanks! But yeah I know. I have never told anyone this but at first I was going to publish Atrubia as an MD that was not in a desert. That explains all the greenery. And it sort of stuck!

Evillions: Read the reply above to answer the American Building questions. Also the terrain mod is the Chihuahuan Mod by the LBT Team on the STEX, the water mod is Brigantine by Pegasus on the STEX or PLEX, the trees are by Jeronij on the LEX. Have fun!

Battlecat: Thanks!

danielcote: Thats the plan! ;)

Robin (rooker1): Thanks man! So glad to hear that!

Glowbal - Thomas Neto: Thanks guys!

adroman: Thanks! They are vacation homes actually for the League I am in.

Joelyboy: Thanks Joel! Btw your ATR lots are finished and emailed. ;)

Evillions: Thanks! Search oil refinery or pipeline on the STEX and both should pop up. ;)

sumwonyuno: Thanks! Glad to see you here and hope to see you back!

Jmouse: Thanks!

Battlecat - Bobbi: Thanks you two!

To kick of this 16 pic update; here is a region pic of update 44.

Looks pretty cool in my opinion!

And heres a pic of the new update! This also shows the relation to Islandia. The update is the island in the top right.

Do you guys like it? Lol. Hope you do!   ...

That shows just offshore to where the island is. The pic has an ACTUAL highway going through the middle of it and about 40,000 inhabitants. The only way to get off is via the two highway bridges.

Short. Somehow I got the RHW bridges to line up (FINALLY!!!).

Tall.

The island has an extensive subway system shown here...

And here...

And here. The giant building is the largest station in Atrubia.

I also experimented with different way to use the AC Terminals other than for airports. Shown here as a mall surrounded by a mall. Any thoughts?

One of the entertainment centres. This is one of the movie theaters.

One of the highway offramps; two total.

Not all of the island is low density. There is high density. Shown here...

The St. Anne has a stop here.

A tourist trap. Some of the first buildings in Atrubia. Imported especially for here from the Abid Jakartin metro area (the Parisian buildings).

One of the two marina's on the island...

Lastly I leave you with a night shot at the nearby lighthouse...

And thats it! Hope you all enjoyed it and thanks for the congrats for being in OSITM October!

Please post comments, hints, ideas, etc.

My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.

That explains a lot, though I really like the dessert theme, so I'm glad you chose to do so.
This is a wonderful update, in particular the region overview. That is looking mighty nice!
I love those artificial islands and the way you made that big highway or avenue bridge. Also, the residential areas are great. I think it's a nice place to live  ;)

-Stijn-

Glowbal

Love it

only in the marine, a few boats have a hard time to get out  :P

I think the mall looks pretty good. Only not so sure about that square with trees and lights..  ::)
