penguin007:
Thanks. Yeah, the transition is pretty difficult to creat, but I hope it's worth the effort.:)

mightygoose: Thanks. There are many different sizes of atomic power plants. This one is actually a real power plant situated in Switzerland. But it's surely not an especially big one, I think the real one is already more than 40 years old.

Sciurus: Thanks. I agree it's not beatiful to live next to this monster, but it's not especially dangerous. ;)

cubby420: Thank you very much. You're right, a bit more fenc would be a good idea. I think volatic (the creator) put some fences on the lot, but unfortunately the Simcity-proportions are not realistic.:(

Today no update as usual, because I wanted to do something else. ;)

For that reason I updated the road-map and created a new metro-map of the Arlington-Mesa area.

The Arlington-Mesa subway-map I created: :)

An updated version of the road-map of the whole bay-area:

And at the end I need some of your help.

As you can see, all the large city-tiles have a black line at their bottom. I play 1929x1200. Does anybody know how do get rid of these lines?

That graphical glitch is a known bug playing at resolutions above 1600xwhatever. If you switch back to 1600 and resave, the glitch will disappear.

sumwonyuno

Wow!  Even with that glitch... the region view is amazing!  &apls

Excellent transit maps and I love that you included little forest preserves as well.  I took a few moments to locate some of your update locales (or at least where I thought they were) on the region view, which is very impressive by the way. I'd hate to live near the giant black abysses on the south side of your large city tiles though!  $%Grinno$% Seems awful dangerous! Hope you get that graphical error squared away because as I said, that's one hell of a region view. Love the farm expanse

kwakelaar

A very impressive region, I hope your graphics glitch can be sorted.

bat

The road- and subway-map are really nice! Great work!
Looking forward to more... ;)

Battlecat

Great looking maps and region shot.  Shame about the glitch, but it still looks great.

Sean SC4: Thank you. So I guess I have to change resolution, and then just load cities, I won't load again. :D

sumwonyuno, kwakelaar, bat, Battlecat: Thank you guys for the comments!

cubby: Thanks. I'm glad you like the region view. I'm actually working on some rural regions, but I guess just showing you some farms isn't really thrilling. ;D

As you can see in the region view I posted, there is a little lake in the hilly woods above Arlington. This is a mosaic of it.

Beautiful. The highway tunnel is my favorite part...too bad the passing kiddies in the backseat of mommy or daddy's car can't see the lake through all the trees.  ::) Just as well. It looks really awesome and natural the way it is.

EDIT: Oh and a quick question...where did you get those cool SAM puzzle pieces? I may have them but I don't remember seeing any and I'm far, far, far away from my computer with SC4 installed right now   ()sad()

BuildingUp

I absolutely love what you've done with that area, the tunnel is great and the greenery is superb. I have a question, where did you get those little bushes and rocks?

Again, fabulous work!  &apls

Battlecat

Fantastic update as always!  That is a gorgeous forest!

BuildingUp: Thanks. The little rocks are Maxis-ploppable rocks. The bushes are "PEG MTP Mayor Menu Scrub Brush Mod" --> http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=20930

cubby420: Thank you! Alot of people are using this freeway (about 11´000), I hope they can enjoy the ride a bit ;). The area is very hilly, that why lots of freeways are in tunnels.
The SAM pieces with wide curves are and addition to the NAM, here a link to the download at SimcityKurier --> http://kurier.simcityplaza.de/details.php?file=1023

Today I got something totally new for you, after my holidays. I´m building on a large city called "New Memphis" on the northshore of "Arlington Bay". It´s a lot of work and I´m still not done yet, but I´ve finished the port area by now, which I wanna show you guys now. ;)

First of all a mosaic:

And now some other pictures of the area around the freight-container port and the old port, which is situated in front of downtown, but more about that later.
