All of your work here in Cascadia and your Thematic Competition pictures are amazing. You really work hard, Jordan. Sorry I don't stop by more often.

Ethan

P.S. Welcome to page 6 and the Best Sellers...

calibanX

Welcome to the Best Sellers Jordan. You're doing great work here. The closeup of the plaza in front of the church really captures a great scene. It should make for a nice entry into the thematic competition.

Q-Tips: Thank you! I plan to plop the residential, as I have a large mix, I would rather have one or two styles for this particular town.

djvandrake: Thank you!

Sumwonyuno: The development isn't quite ready yet, I had to find some more W2Ws and I had to fix an issue with the ExtraPlugins.dll. But fear not, it'll be ready soon!

Tomas (Tomas Neto): Thanks alot, Tomas!

Daniel (danielcote): Thanks! That is a cool fact ;D!

Ethan (ecoba): Thanks for the compliment, Ethan! I try my best to make the updates worth reading. And as long as you stop in once in a while, I won't get too angry ;D. And thanks for propelling my MD across Best Seller's Canyon !

Geoff (calibanX): Thanks, Geoff! The plaza isn't quite finished yet, there are still details like people and bases to add, but I will have it ready in time to meet the deadline.

Update 11

Cascadia is now in the Best Sellers! Thanks Ethan for moving this MD up a notch on the Mayor's Diary ladder ! Here are some more pics! I'm almost finished the waterfront area, Now I'm moving on to the downtown area by the Church. I'm tentatively calling the town GrantView.

Ethan gets to pick one of those to live in . Thanks again to all of you who helped make this MD what it is!

Welcome to the Best Sellers!!!

Battlecat

Things are coming along very nicely for your thematic competition entry.  Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Rady

Very good! I like how you integrate the park's pathways with the bridge, street, etc.
If it's a good idea, go ahead and do it. It's much easier to apologize than it is to get permission.

Update 12

I went downtown on Saturday, just to experience the Olympic fever downtown. It was a raining off and on all day. Took some pics, so here you are: ;D

12-01
This is GM Place, one of the Olympic Venues, all decked out in Olympic posters.

12-02
The Hockey House was pretty loud, considering it was only 11:30 in the morning. But then again this is Canada

12-03
Various little inukshuks someone erected all along the seawall.

12-04
The Ontario Pavilion, one of the many pavilions scattered throughout Downtown.

12-05
This is for everybody downunder. The IOC [linkie] wanted it taken down, but it's still there ;D

12-06
These flags line the seawall by the Olympic Village.

12-07
Heading towards the Olympic Cauldron, along Canada Place.

12-08
Another shot of the street. The whole area is blocked off, only authorized vehicles allowed through.

12-09
And the Olympic Cauldron. It was fenced off shortly after Gretzky lit it. I had to jam the lens through the gap ;D

12-10
Samsung getting in on the Olympic action.

12-11
Here's Robson Square. The ice on the rink isn't real; the real ice melted a week ago ;D

12-12
Here's two more shots of Olympic posters.

12-13

12-14
This is the foyer of the convention center. People were taking pictures of themselves 'holding up' the world :)

12-15
And the cauldron again, this time at night, and lit up!

12-16
The Olympic Rings are positioned in North Vancouver, across Burrard Inlet

12-17
Looking back at the Convention Centre, you can just barely make out the cauldron.

12-18
On Robson Street, the roads on either side of us are closed.

12-19
And Granville Street, looking back towards False Creek.

12-20
And one last shot of the skyline of the area near Main Street and Science World, which the Russians have turned into an exhibition of Sochi 2014.

Fantastic pictures!!!  Thanks for sharing those.  How exciting.

And I like your plaza.  Looks quite nice.

Wow, beautiful plaza my friend!!!

Very nice pictures, too!!!

ecoba

Some very nice photos from your trip to Vancouver, Jordan. I, for one am not a fan of them fencing in the cauldron. Seems, very un-olympian. I love that Aussie poster  :D. I'm glad they didn't take it down. (Even though I'm a kiwi at heart.)

Also, I think that your plaza looks fine. Maybe some of the NUTs market stall props (on the LEX) could spruce it up a little bit. Or maybe one of c.p.'s great Cafe tables and a vendor.

djvandrake: Thank you!

976: Thanks!

Tomas (Tomas Neto): Thank you very much!

Ethan (ecoba): Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm steadily progressing on Grantview. I'm slowly replacing the light blue canal water for the one you see here. Here's some more pics:

Ooh! I definitely like that canal better than the original one. The large amount of canals out there make it hard for me to choose which ones I should use.

The massive amount of high wealth in this city still amazes me.

Ethan

kimcar

&apls &aplsGreat pics from Vancouver Jordan, and great work with your canal

djvandrake

I like the second pic, looks like a great place to take a walk.
