Quite an overrun spent to build that hospital!  Maybe I'm too used to boxy hospitals because it has a much more upscale and 18th century look.

[Edit]:  Oh, and congratulations on the move to Best Sellers!

 Hello Nedal,
Anothere fantastic update.  I love how you really put yourself in the Mayors seat and tell the story/facts from that view.  The little story line is perfect.
And I hate to say I told you so, even though it did take a few more weeks than I thought.....but it does give me great pleasure to move your MD to The Best Seller section.  &apls

Congrats from myself and The SC4D Staff!

That hospital is a particularly classy building!  All the additions during your latest update look excellent, they only add to the growing character of your city!  Congratulations on your move to Best Sellers!

Congrats on your Best Seller, that's why I start watching this! I hope you plopped a lot, anything else would make me jealous on your plugin folder ;).

You're doin' it right, nedalezz, you're doin' it right.

Battlecat: Thanks, I love the building. The town is definitely changing and developing. And thanks for the congrats, hehe.
rooker1: Many thanks for the move! Hopefully this MD will be around for a long time to come. The story will become more complex as the town develops, Im sure.
sumwonyuno: The Nesara Council definitely broke the budget, but you cant put a price on proper healthcare. Thanks for commenting :)
ecoba: Thanks Ethan, hope I see you around here more often!
kwakelaar: Indeed, it seems Cedar is slowly becoming a popular location for investment and for residence.
M.M.Malwin: Thanks for the kind words and the comments! With the paving of the streets, Cedar is becoming more eye-candyish :)
penguin007: No problem, any other questions or comments, just let me know! And thanks for commenting.
soulchaser: Thanks! Actually, the only thing plopped are the commercial buildings, the school, powerplant, and hospital. All the residentials are grown :)

Nothing major here, just a couple of nightshots from the upcoming update.

And bit by bit Cedar continues to grow!  Love those night shots and also those before and after shots.

Great night shots, Nedal !

I love the first one, I can say why, but it makes something on me.. Although, I think some cars in the streets would be a great touch.

Good job anyway and congrats on your move to the best sellers ! I hope to see your MD moving to the classic too !  :)

Arthur.

canyonjumper: Thanks for commenting, much appreciated!
soulchaser: Thanks, hopefully I will start shooting more nightshots from now on.
Tomas Neto: Thank you, and many thanks for always leaving a comment :)
art128: Actually, I shoot most of my pics while the game is live and running, so the lack of pics is representative of the lack of car movement in this quiet little town, hehe. Thanks on the congrats and Im glad you liked the pics.
Battlecat: Thanks! I love to see a gradual pic by pic process of how any city grows, so I thought I would incorporate it in this MD.
M.M.Malwin: The town is certainly evolving as businesses have started moving in. Thanks for commenting!

The State of Nesara: Update Thirteen

Population: 1655

Completed Projects: Silkmate Home Textiles Factory, Burgundy Restaurant & Pub (Country Road), Lifemate Insurance Office (Country Road)

Developing Projects: Police Station (Country Road), Haiden Construction Co. Offices (Country Road)

Silkmate Home Textiles - An American company which previously imported all of its fabrics from China and Europe, Silkmate Home Textiles has decided to invest in their own factory right here in Cedar. Much like Korra Ceramics, the company was seduced by the no-tax policy and acquired a piece of land just north of central Cedar to begin its operation. Specialized in curtains and upholstery fabrics, Silkmate has invested $1.5 million to develop the factory and plans to employ around 75 people.

The Silkmate Home Textiles and Korra Ceramics factories.

Burgundy Restaurant and Pub - The new hot spot in town, and also Cedar's first eatery, or bar for that matter, and has become an instant success in town. Owned by Richard Burgundy, the land itself cost him $100,000, and he demolished the house that used to sit on the plot and developed the new building, costing a total of $400,000. He also recently started delivery services for his food menu, which has also proved very popular with the locals.

Lifetime Insurance - Situated in central Cedar and owned by Udrich Steinberg, Liftime Insurance Ltd. is the first local insurance company to open its doors for business in Nesara. Back by a larger international insurance company, Steinberg hopes that Cedar and Nesara are on the verge of a population boom,  and is banking on capturing the market before anyone else.

Around Cedar

Danny Davidson, owner of the Davidson Contracting Limited, recently acquired a large piece of land to the east of Cedar. The 20x20 (40,000 sq. meters) plot land was bought for $400,000, and it is believed the Davidson Contracting Ltd. is planning to develop a residential compound of sorts.

A new construction company has moved into town by the name of Haiden Construction Company, and have already taken their first contract from Lifetime Insurance to develop their offices. They have also acquired a piece of land on Country Road and are planning to open up their offices there. Seeing how Danny Davidson is a millionaire (estimated worth is at around $2 million), the owner of Haiden Construction Co. has identified the small but growing Nesara real estate market as one that is ready to boom.

Recently, James Brooks, head of the Nesara Council and "father" of the region, travelled to the US capital Washington D.C. for a meeting with the American government to discuss the state of region, its potential future, and for possible endorsement from the federal government. Quite a few points were discussed, but Brooks had a few issues that he stressed, hoping he would get funding from Washington to help his council develop the projects in mind. Two of the major issues were:

1 - Rail connection and the construction of an airfield: Both issues were met with approval from the federal government, and Brooks conceded development and growth would continue to be very slow without them. Industries continue to be reluctant to open up shop in Nesara because of the difficulty of moving big bulks out of the area and into the other parts of the country, while residents continuously complain about the amount of time it takes driving into Cedar. Brooks asked for $20 million to develop a respectable airfield and to run a track line from Portland, Oregon, across Nesara and into northern California.

2 - Funding to help explore Nesara's potential resources: Brooks requested funding and help from the federal government to begin thorough exploration of Nesara in search for potential natural resources that might have deposits.

To end this update, we will leave with some shots from around Cedar. Thanks for tuning in!

Some wealthy families have built nice summer homes in Cedar.

Nice update, going to be interesting to see what that compound at the edge of town is going to be.

I quite like how you town is spreading out along the main road, it's very realistic.

Still growing, but with the recent visit to Washington it seems Cedar will experience more of a boom.
