These are some nice before-after shots, Nedal ! I like how the town is growing, very pleasant to watch and it's nicely done.

Very nice before and after views. Your town is growing in a natural fashion. It will be fun to watch the first multi-story commercial and Industrial buildings pop up.

kelis: Thanks for commenting, much appreciated!
calibanx: Yeah, thats what Ive been aiming for, some realistic growth patterns in the town. Im excited about the first multi-story building too!
NASCAR_Guy: I think I'll leave that for the experts like Fred, there is no way anyone can replicate what he does, hehe :)
penguin007: Well, its not a real update, but I hope it can satisfy for now!
Battlecat: Thank you as always for commenting :)
canyonjumper: No problem, glad to help!
art128: Thanks, I like how Cedar is growing too.
Tomas Neto: Thank you for always commenting my friend.
Connor: Thanks, I really liked how the beach turned out as well. Thanks for commenting!

Well, its not a real update, although I have been hard at work developing Cedar. I want to get it to a certain point, and start taking it from there. For now, here is a couple of pictures showing how the development is coming along. Please keep in mind the development I have in mind are still not complete, so in retrospect Cedar itself seems kind of incomplete. Enjoy!

That's some pretty serious growth there!  Railway and a lot more industrial in the area.  Looks great!

Nice pics, Nedal! Is that a railway I see? Cedar certainly has grown ;D

I really do like the way that Cedar has expanded. The old style of growth seemed to be just a little too slow for my liking, but that's just me. Anyway, I think that the new industrial areas that have popped up along the railway have turned out really nicely.

One suggestion I have would be to download the SFBT Rail Texture Mod, found on the LEX, it'll get rid of the ugly dirt next to your rails and make the rails look a lot better.

Message to the Readers

So I was having trouble sleeping, and decided to go over my old MDs (Berania, Qumma), and I must say, I had forgotten just how popular Qumma was. Several times smiles were brought on to my face reading the comments that were left, and I was reminded of the time and effort I put into the region and its updates, and all the fun I had.

Unfortunately, around mid 2008, my life took a very steep downward spiral, and looking back I must admit it was the hardest period of my life, a very very difficult time when all that could go wrong apparently did, at the same time. Loss of loved ones, near collapses in the business field, etc... something Im glad I have gotten through and over, but it was the reason I stopped updating Qumma and lost touch with it. When I started Berania, it was never my intention to let that MD die, but my computer completely stopped working, and although I thought I had it backed up on my external HD, it turned out that I didnt. I lost Berania along with many other important business related documents that I thought I had saved but I hadnt.

So here I am, working on my third MD, and I truly believe third time is a charm. I am having a blast with Cedar and Nesara, and in RL, I must admit, I am finally content having gone through these difficult year and a half. Through it all, I have always felt a sense of serenity and sense of belonging here at SC4Devotion, as I was one of the very first members to join when the site opened, "switching" from Simtropolis :)

I just wanted to thank everyone, lurkers, commenters (special thanks to rooker1 and all the regulars, and a very big thanks to those who have been patient with me and have followed all my MDs), former commenters (I had some legendary ones like JMouse, Ennedi, etc :)) and everyone who has made this place a great place to be (special thanks, ofcourse, to Jeronij).

I hope you all have a fantastic day and a terrific night, and may all your days always be blessed. Thanks.

Tomas Neto

I did read your text and I stayed happy because the worst period already passed, and now you are in a moment more calms of your life..., I think. I identify me with what did you write, therefore when I did open my MD,  here in the SC4D,  I didn't have notion about would I be received, and then I had to big surprise of find old friends and do new friends too. I believe that have a MD here is more than only do updates, but also share good part of us with these big friends. Today you shared a good part of yourself with everybody us, and this transforms you in a special friend of everybody of this forum.

That was a very nice message. It's a nice idea to stop once in a while and be thankful for what we have.

Great update. The business district fits well in your town's growth.

Take care.

Nedal,
It is us that should be thanking you for coming back with what you call "A third time is a Charm MD".  Your work here is better than ever and I am very glad to hear that you have made it through a tough period of your life.  Any time you need someone to talk to you can find me on MSN.
Anyways, it seems I had missed the last two updates....unsure how how.  Those shorelines are so piture perfect.  I would hate to know how long it took you to prepare that area.  And you know me and how much I enjoy a good dirty industrial zone and my friend yours is no exception.
Great work!  It's always a pleasure on the eyes to visit your MD.

In continuation with the development pictures from above, I did some more work on Cedar today, and I think Im pretty close to the result I am looking for, although there are still some things I need to work on, namely the outskirts of the town. I wanted to model Cedar after the typical American small town, where you would find a small stretch of industry just off of the downtown area, and a spread of residential zones sprouting from the central part of town.

If you guys have any suggestions, please let me know! You can see Davidson Contracting Green Oaks to the far right. In the coming updates, we will take a tour around the town and see what exactly is happening with the Nesara Council and the locals. Enjoy!

Battlecat

Well I really like how cedar is coming together!  The pattern of development is impressively realistic!

That was really a heartwarming message that you gave to us readers, and it shows just how much you raelly appreciate us.  :)

I read through Qumma often myself, I, like you, sometimes have not much to do or can't sleep, and I often search through the MD archives looking for a read. This was how I came about Qumma and I was instantly hooked. That was certainly an excellent MD and I was very sad that I wasn't around when it was open. I did like Berania very much as wel, and I remember I felt very priveliged to comment on one of your MDs.

As for Nesara, I think that you certainly are right on by saying that the third time is a charm. You've had excellent growth here both on the site and in the game, and I'm sure that you'll be here for the long haul as you seem very committed. Nesara also has absolutely wonderful potential; I won't be surprised to see skyscrapers soon!

Development suddenly took a giant leap forward, and it looks excellent, the new railway is a perfect fit.

Sorry to hear about your life taking such a dive, but of course it is good to hear that you find yourself at a better place now.
