Wow, Jon. It's been too long since I last checked in! The grain silo looks incredible!

Also, Rau's is gorgeous... I already know where to place it in my city. =)

Hope you're doing well! I'll try to stop by more often.

SimFox

Modeling is great!
My only slight greavance would be with texturing... it is way to dark, I think. Even on the totally black background at places things just drope to the black hole. even in the shadows this shouldn't realy happen.

Sim Shady:  Thanks!  That would be fun to see!

Pat:  Thank-you!  Most of the swelling is gone now, and it just feels more like a deep paper cut now.

Jose:  Thanks!  I haven't forgotten your thread... I'll get back there soon!

Threestooges:  Thank-you!  Yes... it's a pretty big place.  Probably 8x8 when all is said and done.

Robin:  Thank-you!

Nofunk:  Thanks!  Good to see you as always.  Rau's is giving me a little difficulty at the moment, but it's getting there.

Simfox:  Thank-you!  I was wondering about dark or light...  I'm still trying to find the balance between grungy without being overly dark.  I figure once I find grungy, making everything lighter will be a farily minor adjustment.

So... not a whole lot of time at the moment.  I'm meeting with a bride shortly who is getting married in three weeks but doesn't seem to understand that if I don't get some information soon, she won't be having any dinner at her reception!

In the meantime, I got some more done on the grain elevator.  I'll explain things later if necessary, but for now here are the pictures:

More to come!

Derek:  Thanks!  "I your work" too... whatever that means   ()what()   :D

Sebes:  Thank-you!

FromtheAshes:  Thanks!

Robin:  Thank-you!  Rust is always good in these situations, I think.

Glenni:  Welcome to the thread!  They converted a grain elevator into lofts??  Glad you like it.

Jeronij:  Muchos gracias!  Te quedes mas?  Mas?  Por el amor de Dios...  (Sorry if I spelled everything wrong!)  Thanks... I'm glad you like it!

Edge:  Thank-you!  Rumor has it that I specialize in details... so yea me!

TeaCat:  Thank!  Welcome to you as well!

Jose:  The brick texture really is just modified from some of the schools I did... so you've seen it before!   ;)

Derek:  Patience my friend... I'm trying to plan a vacation here, for heaven's sake!  I PMed you a link just before I started this.

Pat:  You kind of snuck in here while I was typing!  Thank-you!  Still a little fine tuning to do on the pipes, but it's getting there!

OK... kind of a mixed bag of little things today.  I'll stick with the grain elevator first.  I wanted to do one last size test for the rail area, so I rendered the conveyor systems to make sure that there was enough room for the tracks and rail cars to pass underneath.  The good news is that it seems to be fine... perhaps a little tight, but it'll work whether I change it or not.  I do need to adjust the signal boxes and line them up better, but that should be about it.

I also finally got around to rendering the academic building for Westlake Academy.  I didn't really do anything else with the lot, but I figured I'd show it to you just to prove that I haven't forgotten about it!

That's about it for now!  I'll probably get a few more things done, but next week is going to be pretty busy.  I leave for California again a week from today, so I have a lot of work to cram into next week!  So, we'll see what I can get done in the meantime.
