Thanks for leaving comments, which are always interesting to read and sometimes inspiring, helping me to go along with the story.

Who Lives Where

Final of a series of six

That's it, now that we have covered all of our characters in our story. We will be able to continue the story of the Winding River Project with the next update.

First let's go to Frampton, another big City in our story and see who else lives there. We all know the John Gabber now, and his oldest son Junior has the same name. Born in Bluebay, Junior is now 25 years old, studying in Frampton and also lives there, while working at his father's Office when he's not into studies. Young Gabber is the oldest of 5 and the only one that doesn't live home anymore. Mr Gabber has put a lot of hope that Junior will take over the Construction part of his Company one day. Of course as Gabber's son, you merrit the best appartment and services available in exchange to study good and hard.

pic15

Junior lives on the Campus, just beside the sportsfield, where he has a nice view of the old University towers, the fields and the campus itself. Junior hopefully gets his degrees next year and will be able to step in beside his father and his uncle Gary.

pic16

Also in Frampton and not too far away from the University campus, lives Steve Gibson. We know Steve as the bushpilot, flying biologists and landsurveyors all over the River Region. Steve just lately has attached himself to the little gang that hangs out at Barby's every friday afternoon, bringing them important information about the armybase in West River. Born somewhere without knowing exactly where in 1940, Gibson is only 25 years old at the moment and still living in Frampton with his young and pregnant wife Ashley. Already having a lot of studies in his bag and some important flying experience, Steve wants to move to Access or the area one day and open his own small airplane company for touristic use.

pic17

Steve is a vivid and fanatic Golfer, spending all the free time he gets on Frampton's golfcourse. He just can't over it that Access nor any neighboring villages do not have a golfcourse yet. Last year he approached the council in Access with this idea, but as the town is in a somewhat small crisis growing out of its capabilities ever since, the idea of a golfcourse in Access was rejected. I think he only waits for a golfcourse to be build in Access, to come and live here.
His appartment is close to the highway. Both he and his wife do not really enjoy the place, but for the moment that is all that they can efford.

pic18

A little strange talking about someone in prison, but he was a well known character in the beginning of the story. Having earned himself 20 years of prison in the Lakestead Low Security Prison for hiring someone to murder Lucie, the owner of the first Restaurant in Access, Ray Olsen, the father of Julie Olsen, was the owner and builder of the Olsen Pub in Access. The complete story of that murder was never really reveiled to the public and probably never will. The murderer himself, Gerry Mason, was recently executed in the larger High Security Prison in Lakestead.

pic19

Not much to say about Olsen's living quarters, except that is only one small cell with a bed, small table, chair and toilet. Ray has still 15 years to do before thinking about parol. Ray was born in Reverant in 1920 and that makes him 45 years old at this time.

pic20

Richard Welder, the fellow that spends his summers and falls in Phlox just beside Slye's Sawmill running his newly purchased Fishing Outfitter lodge, lives in the Capitol City of Lakestead near the bay. Born in 1934 in Lakestead City and having lived there ever since, Richard is divorced with one daugter of 4 years and is 31 years old these days. He built the lodge in Phlox last year, a place that he wishes to make his entire life with. Welder  has been dreaming of it since his childhood.

pic21

Welder's little home, a mini duplex so to speak, is right in the middle of a fully developped residential are of Lakestead situated near the bay. He was born near the airport, which we will see once the pictures of all the regions are updated and uploaded.

pic22

Back to Sandom, where Harry Wormwood also lives, there's a guy we haven't met yet, but somehow will one day change the destiny and future of the Winding River Region completely. His name is Robert Yome, an aborigine just like the Billionaire Mr Sterling, not related though. Born during the war in Sandom in 1942, which makes him 23 years old, he lost his mother a year after his birth and his father by the end of the war. He was raised by relatives from his father side and was taught the base of knowledge of the Aborigins of Simland. Bobby-Yome, as his relatives and friends call him, is quite instructed, having gone through elementary to highschool in Bluebay, then through College in Beecherfalls and now is about to study history, anthropolgy and archeology  in the Lakestead University.

pic23

Young Yome lives here in Sandom in a small mobile home that he rents for very little ยง's. Also being close to nature, he is a fan of hunting and fishing whenever he can find free time. Yome works at the 3 appartments blocks that you can see just north of his home as a Janitor, maintaining the buildings as much as he can and making a good salary by doing so. We will hear about him more in a few years.

pic24

In the Access Center, Valmore District, we have another young fellow that we only barely met. Jordan Meaden was born in 1949 in the Vancouver/BC, Canada. He immigrated to Access with his father Jerry just lately, when Access asked for an experienced GIS Specialist to make the plans for the new Access' aquaduct. Jerry is glad to get away from Vancouver and start a new live with his son. Jordan is still going to highschool, the one that just opened in Access Center (coming up in the next update). He loves reading, planning his live, music and sometimes little adventures.

pic25

Jordan also likes drawing and is already making detailed maps of the area where he lives, knowing every road, street, house and fields around. He lives of course with his father at the age of barely 16 in Access, the Valmore part of it, in a duples that his father rents. Their home is situated in a quiet part of the suburbs, not far at all from the farmlands that surround former Valmore South. His only dream is to become a Cartographer, something that he loves so much doing.

pic26

And finally the last one of our characters in the Story of the WRP, Winding River Project. *There's a new Sherriff in Town*, we heard the people say just about a month ago. Kyle Roberts is from Beecherfalls, born in 1927 and he was offered the job as the Police Chief of Access when the former chief started arresting innocent people and several complaints against him were filed. Kyle is the small type and somewhat a little chubby fellow, but generally in good health and running as fast as any thief, sticking to his Police bible as much as his gun. Roberts believes in total organisation and rightful laws and justice. Having proofed himself in Beecherfalls, he was promoted to Captain just before he applied for the job in Access.

pic27

Only a few days after his arrival, his wife Judy had chosen a small, but nice home near the town's end to live in. Having sold his home in Beecherfalls brought him more money of what a house here in Access costs and therefore a better home was possible, including a new car for him and his wife, who also already found a new job in Access at the Doctor's Office as a registered nurse. We met Kyle shortly on the first day of his work in Access, when he made the first page of the Tribune, answering a harmless call of reporting *fine lingerie* hanging out in the open in front of an older lady's appartment, remember? Mr Roberts took this as a lesson well learned from a smalltown experience.

pic28

And that's finally it......ouffff....'twas about time.....lol. In later years, maybe 20 or more years into the future, we might come back and have an update of the *Who Lives Where* series. Surely some folks will have improved or even worsened their home, or moved, but for the moment that's it.

I will finish the regional maps with all the individual characters maybe tomorrow, to close this series once and for all. We then will come back with regular updates of the story.
I heard there will be a lot of action coming soon, some folks are seriously planning something totally dangerous and bad luck is just around the corner for others, who would have never suspect it coming. Be there, it will be hot for some!! The first page of the Access Center Tribune is not big enough to hold all that news from the valley.

Hope you enjoyed to know where everyone lives and what they do.
Fred

Nice work! I'm surprised that Lucy's killer's boss isn't in a more security prison.

Is that black spot a new Club Foods?

No, the new Clubfoods lot has been bought by Wellington (Next update) and will be in the new commercial zone reserved for new commerces, just about the first Highway exit to Access.
This blackened spot is where the elementary school once resided and since the terrain was a bigger lot than needed for the new elementary school, which now is elsewhere (next update), the terrain was taken by the Highschool badly needed in Access. All that will be shown in the next regular update.

!!!!GO HABS GO!!!!

threestooges

Nicely done Fred. Always fun to see who's where around here. Just checking, but is it Kyle Richards or Roberts? He's referred to both way in the last update, though the pictures all say Roberts. Aside from that, everything looks pretty good. Now I think, if there's time, a bit of fishing from the banks of the sawmill is in order.

Thanks guys, glad that you liked the series.
threestooges, thanks for mentioning the error of Roberts turning into Richards, my fault, probably thought of my lovely neighbor (Miss Richards) at the same time.... ;) I corrected it.

The maps are coming, most probably tomorrow (friday), and a regular update on the weekend. Things are changing in Access rapidly.

Here they are, the Regional Maps of all regions that are or will become part of this Story, the *Winding River Project*, or WRP.

First the General Map which is showing all the different regions on one map.

pic1

Let's start with the Beecherfalls region.

pic2

Belleminton, a region that is still under construction. It will be the city at the end of the Winding River, where it meets the sea. I have done about 25% of what I would like to populate on it. It will play a big part in the future. We will also call it the *Winding River Outlet*.

pic3

Of course, we know Bluebay already, and the Bergen Island, the most beautiful place in my Simland.

pic4

Then comes Frampton, one of the bigger Cities and also one of the most important ones. It has the University where most our characters went to and most of the HQ offices and Companies that will become a part of the Winding River also.. Because Frampton is close to the sea, it has a small harbour and airport.

pic5

This is......well, not much explaining to do, this is simply the place that we talk about everytime and holds our story, Access Center and it's neighbors in our Winding River Region. What you see here is only about the half the size of what the Winding River Region exactly is.

pic6

Lakestead, also called sometimes the Capitol City, is located northwest of the Winding river and has the source lake of the Winding River. In other words, the winding River starts here with the big mountain lake. One day we will have a good look at this region also. It is by the way the Capitol of my Simland. There's a lot of stuff there. What you see here is about 20% of the region, which is really immense and extends into the mountains on the right and into the plains on the left and upper part of the region, and also the city itself continues in the north right into the plains. We see only about 40% of the city. I didn't want to show you the whole regions yet, because I still got some surprizes coming with the story, but eventually we will see all of it one day. Lakestead has the International airport, where I spent some 20 hours of play to figure out how to make a decent good looking airport and I'm not a pro.

pic7

Reverant is a widespred agricultural city completely in the north and is separated by the Beecher River that also flows through Beecherfalls and Frampton. Reverant has a small harbour but shiptraffic ends here because of the waters getting shallower and shallower all the way up the river.

pic8

And finally the town of Sandom, smaller than all the others (only a Medium-tile sized Region), close to the sea, north of Bluebay and just south of the Winding River which it actually touches with the region's yet unexplored south-east corner, right of Grasslake.

pic9

These were the eight Regions that we will see and hear about during the whole story. Now I hope that you are oriented enough to find your way around without getting lost. If you need directions , ask me. I will make a better and clearer "General Map" one day also...;)

Have a nice weekend and I will be back in a day or two with a regular update.

The snowmod I used in most of my regions is called *CP_ColumbusPlayTerrainParametersForUseWithCPT_No7TreeController SNOWSCAPPED*
I got it from Simtropolis, but I can't give you a  link, I'm banned there again... >:(
You will have to search for it on the STEX.
hope that helps..... ;)

Fred

EDIT:

Here's everything that I use in my terrainfolder in the Access Region. Some other regions have slightly different rockmods, water, beach and treemods, which I change when playing in these regions.
