wikked pics @ all

@ ABCsan --  Only thing I would not like to do is the final approach over the high rise buildings into the airport with the orientation arrows of the runway or even live in one of those buildings. ( Lived a mile away from Heathrow Airport London under the main flight path and those damn planes always seemed too low! )

before you eat me could you tell me what the house on an angle is?  It's a stunner

Nice job everyone. There is some great work being done in recreating peripherys. Iamgoingtoeatyou: I like the use of gascookers? houses. They look great against Jeronji's sidewalks. One comment. I was really surprised to see my Bank of Montreal in there amongst the rest. I would never have thought of turning it red like that but you know, it actually looks pretty good. Too bad that red was already claimed by BMO's rival Scotiabank! :)

Giligone

Wow, I'm still loving those suburbs Iamgoingtoeatyou. haha Your name makes me laugh. Great suburbs, jsut great.

Here's my latest suburban venture.

I do believe that it is GC's UK Suburbia Pack, or something like that...

Hey,

My favourite thing in SC4 is suburb building.. I have learnt many things but still have a very long way to go to reach a level im proud of.
atm im building my city San Fernando, heres a few pics of it as of today.

I am still testing out designs for suburb buildings out. The one I used in the first part of my city is very basic/unrealistic (straight, boring roads leading to avenues).
The traffic view will explain all.

Anyway, on with the show!

Overview:

Traffic view:

- I beg you to give me tips and tricks to make suburbs look much prettier in region view, I might bring a few more questions/ideas in another topic later.
The biggest problem is overcoming the problem of.. Well I dont know how to explain it, its got to do with region view and how 1 section of a tile kind of fades out, which looks terrible when contrasted with the other tiles..

A wonderful overview of your big suburbs, banamoat

The road and the big bridge of a good angle are beautiful!
I think that the perseverance made so far is uncanny.

Just a pic of where countryside and suburbia meet in one corner of my region.

Great picture, spa! Nice using of trees! &apls

Nice region view, banamoat! That's quite the urban sprawl!
spa: Beautiful work, as always!

Diggis

Banamoat: To make them prettier in region view try making the roads on angles and kinks so they are not all straight.  This will make it more casual.

spa: That's a beautiful suburb, there!  Right up along that forest...if there were any place to get away from the smog of the inner-city, it'd be there!

I've got some...old ones, that is...:

Ahh...this picture's not really a "suburb," but I don't know where else to put it, and I wanted to show it.  It's not much...just a simple little picture of a sleepy little street at night:

Saw that shot over in Ensenada, SA. It's absolutely beautiful!

Masochist: That looks great! I love the picture of the row homes! Keep up the great work!

Nice suburbs, Shadow Assassin!  So green!  Your suburbs always look amazing...and so vast.  I think that's my favorite thing about them.  Crazy good work...let me take some notes... ;)

thundercrack83: Thank you ;D!
