Awesome Ioan! Love the use of the ARD-3! Reminds me of the road I use to get to Quesnel, BC for Christmas ;D The next update looks epic, I'm looking forward to it!

Beautiful intersection in 57.9 and I absolutely love the large plaza in 57.13. The 2+1 roads are very well used too.

Battlecat - Thanks! I think this is the most realistic way one could use this road network, at least in my country main roads have an additional lane when climbing a steeper hill.
riiga - Thanks, my friend!
Girafe - Merci, Girafe! I hope you'll like today's update, too.
scott1964 - As Methene wrote, it is part of the NWMod. Hoping to see you both stopping by here some time soon ;)
canyonjumper - Thanks! I hope the update won't be a disappointment :)
Schulmanator - Thank you, my friend!
RickD - I'm glad you like it. I hope it'll be the same as today's update ;D
Tomas Neto - Thanks for always being so positive, Tomas :)
calibanX - Thank you, Geoff. More of the plaza can be seen below ;)
art128 - Thanks, Art. This time, however, we're staying in a small city ;D

Update 58 - The city of Sliven

Hey, everyone. I'm presenting you a small city that I've been working on for a week now. It's not fully ready but my goal is to make it home for about 80,000 - 100,000 sims. So, to begin, here's a mosaic of the city's downtown with the train station and the pedestrian avenue going between the buildings.
58.1

The train station. An avenue underpass has been constructed to ease access to the station.
58.2

The pedestrian avenue. No one would've thought that palms could survive Sliven's climate but recent researches showed that the city's location in a valley and between the mild and subtropical climatic belts is perfect for growing such trees. That's why the mayor has decided to make the city unique compared to it's neighbouring towns.
58.3

One of the broadest streets in Sliven runs through it's downtown.
58.4

Another view.
58.5

The city stadium built in 1985 is home for the city's football team (or soccer, if you prefer so).
58.6

Some residential buildings; this neighbourhood is currently city's biggest one.
58.7

The industrial zone and one of the highways running through Sliven.
58.8

City's hospital is located between the rail line and the stadium.
58.9

Now where is this road heading to? Find out in the next update ;)
58.10

Wonderful use of space and so colorful, in keeping with your recent style. This city will be on my mind for some time  :)  So many ideas and interesting quirks. The ped walk over the underpass is well implemented. The palms add a totally believable uniqueness to the area. The building choices are great as well. Oh...and where can I get that gorgeous train station?

noahclem

Very nice city and update

I really like the area around the train station with the underpasses for easy pedestrian access and safe train track crossing! The amount of pedestrian routes in general is nice. I also like the road curving back and forth to get down the steep hill in the residential area! Great choice of buildings overall, especially Mattb325's and Simfox's. I didn't realize it was possible to place adjacent FLEX-fly pieces pieces like you've done but look forward to trying it out. Can I ask where you got the building across from the train station in 58.2 (that says longines on it)?

EDIT: No dice on finding that building in the Japanese gallery at SC4D  :'(  Just tell me that the diagonal part of the building wasn't overhanging and I won't be too worried  ::)

EDIT2: And thanks for voting in our largely ignored photo competition ;) I'm curious if you know any industrial filler-type pieces that would look better than my plain 32m square ped mall...

Supertim12000

Looks great! Could you please tell me where you got the brown building in the 58.8 picture? Thanks.

riiga

Great update as usual!

The first and last picture have got to be my favourites, and I'm very curious as to where those MIS ramps lead...

Fantastic update ! Can't wait to see where this road will goes...  ;)

Wow, amazing update Ioan! I love the use of the FLuPs and NWM, it looks great!

What are the two reddish buildings on the right side of 58.5?

               Your friend,
                              Jordan

Quick replies

There have been quite a lot of questions about buildings on the pictures, so here are some replies for you:
cubby420 - Thanks, Andrew. The station is made by ill tonkso and is called Langstrath central station. You can get it here :)
noahclem - Thank you, Noah! I downloaded this building off a Japanese site, unfortunately I don't remember which one ()sad() You can look around the Japanses BAT gallery, I hope you'll find it there.
Edit: No, the diagonal part is not overhanging. I hope this'll help you finding it ;D As for the picture competition, well, I think tag_one has some nice industrial fillers - small sheds and factories which should fit in nicely.
Supertim12000 - Thanks and welcome to Pirgos! That factory is made by marcszar and can be downloaded here.
riiga - Glad you like it :) The ramps are, er, well, leading to an interchange :P :D
art128 - Thanks. You'll find out in the next update ;)
canyonjumper - Thank you, Jordan. Those are made by spa. Click here to get them.

Beautiful city!

I like the pedestrian avenues and the avenue tunnel in front of the station is a neat idea.

excellent update mate :) Any chance of you releasing those sandstone plazas ? been trying to make something similar for myself but I suck with the lot editor :p

Also, i really like that black reflective building next to the avenue in 58.1, Do you happen to remember where you got it from?

ecoba

Lovely, Ioan ! I really enjoy seeing the cities of Pirgos on a cold day like today.   :)
