This is excellent, Casper. That's a great terrain mod. Good to see you back with another city.

Juno is growing well, Casper! I really like the development near the industrial/commercial area. :)

Hi guys,

I've finally decided to make an MD out of the new city/region I'm building, but there won't be much pictures.. Instead, pretty much all the action will be in Youtube video's where I will show myself building the city while commenting on SC4, custom content, other games etc. Maybe I'll even pitch in a livestream every so often (depending on wether my internet connection allows that though)

To get you hyped up, here's the first 5 episodes of the series. Some of you may have seen teasers of those appearing in the Show us your.. threads a little while ago. Hope you enjoy!

Hi Casper,

It's nice to see you back. Your work is excellent most of the time.
But this is just a bit too much!

Sorry to say so, but I won't have time to watch video's that take 23 minutes. I really hesitated to say this, because I know you must have put a lot of work in them and I don't want to spoil your fun in this project. The idea is excellent and I am sure the info is interesting too. And maybe it's just me, but I won't find time to watch these long video's. Sorry.

Seems like a great series is starting. I'm addicted to your voice!  $%Grinno$% $%Grinno$%

Right now i started the episode one, but I don't have time to finish it now. I'll continue the five episodes later this evening, once I'm back from school.

One thing that is tickling me, that I've seen in the episode one so far, you're using way too much the buttons. Try to use the shortcut a bit!  :P (specially when placing roads and streets..  $%Grinno$% )

I'll be checking out my livestreaming capabilities right now over at my Twitch.tv channel
If you have some time check it out, I need to know how well it streams (FPS, sound, lag, etc.) so input would be appreciated. I'll edit this post when the livestream ends.
Hope to see you there!

EDIT: Fully up and running :)

It's working quite well now, except I accidentally banned you; you're now unbanned again :P

Yep, I've seen that. ;_;

Anyway, had to log out, my connection can't handle a stream ( tried a webcam stream from a train station in japan, and I got the same lags) .. ;_;

Livestream is over, and it was great.  Really cool to interact with the viewers with the twitch.tv chat.
Footage (52min) is available here on twitch.tv if you missed the stream :)

Ya it was fun to chat with you and others on the stream.

It was the first time that I've ever watched a game that wasn't Starcraft II on Twitchtv. Much more enjoyable than I predicted.

That deserves a karma point that's for sure!

Replies:
FrankU: No worries man, I understand that completely. Thanks for the support!
art128: Thanks! And sorry about the accidental banning from the livestream once again, I saw this button and just had to click it.. :P
Haljackey: Thank you, sure was fun on the livestream. Since lag/audio seemed to be quite fine, I'll definitely do more livestreams. Just have to make sure I don't get interrupted so they take quite a bit of scheduling.

Update: Episode 6 - Time for an Avenue!
Some people in the stream said it was about time to get some avenues/NWM stuff going in the cities, so I did just that, as there were some traffic jams that needed to be solved soon.

Some interesting videos. While I have no time to see them completely I like the parts I see.
I like your explantions and seeing someone else playing the game. :thumbsup:

I have watched the first two episodes so far and I liked them.  :thumbsup:

I am fascinated by your playing style because it is 100% opposite to mine. You go like "oh, lets build a road here, some residential there, then I'll just quickly plop this over there ..." which is cool.
Me on the other hand could never simply lay down a road. I need to consider every detail in advance. I sit there, counting tiles, making lists of possible issues I might be facing in the future.  %wrd
It is especially bad when I start a new city. Usually it takes me hours of thinking and pondering before I dare to lay down the first road.

And there is a second thing that I find amazing in your video. Your Sim City runs lightning fast! Opening the park or landmark menu takes about 10 seconds on my machine.  %wrd
