The first interchange looks very realistic with the wide curves. I suspect that something like this won't be possible in the new Sim City game for a very long time.

The reconstruction of the N200 at De Dieze has started. This is the last major project from the 30 bottlenecks program. Formerly this road was numbered as N2, when the new A2 was build outside the city  (begin the 90's)  the  number changed to N200. The city is growing considerably by compacting (infill development) and the N200 get congested. The road network of the city will be redesigned to improve the traffic flow. The plan also covers the demolition of a motorway, the A6. The motorway goes right through downtown south. Especially the barrier effect of the motorway  gives this center a bad look. The motorway will be not necessary in the new road network plan of the city.  The A6 was in the original plans an motorway through to the whole city (only 2,5 km is build).

We start the update at the begin of the N200 at a busy intersection, the N200 is the road on the left. There will no changes here, because there is no solution found that is fit whit the budget yet.

The N200 has only ground floor intersection, most of the intersection will be replaced by interchanges (separated floors).

The construction of the new interchange on the place of the old intersection whit the A6. The A6 motorway will be demolished and replaced by a 1x2 road.

The motorway A6 has one interchanges. Here will be a ground floor intersection whit the new 1x2 road. The tunnel will be demolished two.

The curvy tunnel will also demolished. Also here will be a ground floor intersection whit the new 1x2 road.

The end of the A6, at the old plans goes the A6 through the congress / musical center.

And a other intersection of the N200, that will be replaced by a interchanges (separated floors).

That's it for this update comments are always welcome.

The reconstruction of the N200 at De Dieze has started a year ago and is finished last week. We start the update at the begin of the N200 at a busy intersection. There are no changes here, because there is no solution found that is fit whit the budget yet.

The N200 is for the biggest part provided with emergency lanes. The viaduct are not wide enough for emergency lanes, and are not adjusted.

We are approaching the first new grade separated interchanges.

And a other new grade separated interchanges, this one is only a half- interchanges. At this point started before the A6 motorway. The A6 motorway is degraded to a 2x1 road whit ground floor intersections. The vacant place in the meantime built up again.

And the last intersection that is replaced by a grade separated interchanges.

Overviews of the N200 project.

In the next update we take a closer look at the new bypass road around the city center en the degraded A6 that now is a 2x1 road.

That's it for this update comments are always welcome.

The intersection in the first and 11th picture looks interesting. It is kind of a roundabout?

Btw, it would help alot to comment on specific interchanges if you would number your pictures. ;)

I can number my pictures, never thought about that ;)

The intersection is not a roundabout, but a big traffic light crossing inspired by a intersection at Den Bosch (see link below). SC4 don't have traffic lights at the one way roads  &mmm

Bypass downtown south De Dieze
In this update we take a closer look on the old A6 motorway that is degraded to a 2x1 road whit ground floor intersections. Many traffic use no longer this road, and will be follow the bypass around the city center. This new bypass is built as a 2x2 road.

Here we see the intersection whit the new bypass road around the city center.

And an overview of the downtown south whit the bypass (at the top), the N200 (in the middle), and the A2 (down under).

Bypass Maaspoort
The small villages Maaspoort had to deal whit much though traffic. There is a bypass build around the villages, the traffic in the villages is reduced by 70%.

Project N198
The eastern province has a lot trouble from through traffic in the villages. The new N198 will bring lights here, a new 2x1 road will be made outside the villages all bypasses. Section 1 and 2 are already under construction and will soon be opened.

The pink line is the current rout for lots off traffic. After the opening of the bypasses will the traffic here despairer, or there will be measures to reduce traffic.

The N198 is funded by the province with the money that they deserve by the sale of the shares in energy companies to the German RWE. At this moment are in the real Netherlands also some project in construction whit the interest of the sale of the shares in the energy companies.

That was it for this update, comments are always welcome!

N200 De Dieze - Germany
Today we look to the northern part of the N200 to Germany. The N200 is built from the A7 motorway with 2x1 lanes. But there is the option to build here a 2x2 motorway in the future. The N200 route is very popular by truck traffic. In the old plans there was talk of the extended A2 to Germany, but this project is cut away. Germany wouldn't work with a quick disposition.

At this moment in the 'real world' is Germany working on completing of the BAB61, the missing link between the dutch motorway A73 and A74. The new motorway at the south side of  Venlo will be opened this week. After 20 years talking (talking, talking and talking?) will be this motorway finally opened for traffic. Some nice pictures of the new motorway can be found here: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=12EC6CEC4E378553&id=12EC6CEC4E378553!289#cid=12EC6CEC4E378553&id=12EC6CEC4E378553!259

We begin near the border with Germany. The road runs along the canal.

There are a lot truck drivers, and truck drivers are not allowed to drive on a Sunday's and public holidays in Germany. The truck drivers have to wait on dutch territory, on this truck stop place.

The junction whit the A7. The N200 had 2x2 lanes at De Dieze.

The HSR has a new connection and brand new terminal at the downtown of De Dieze.

New intersection whit the A12, a half-cloverleaf.

Old intersection whit the A12, this intersection had to less capacitate. There will be a bicker viaduct build one the place of the old viaduct.

The new N198 cross the brewery in a tunnel.
