Wow....what an explosion.  Good to hear all the citizens are okay.  But, their houses, where do they all live now?  And I heard that the old lady was an informer as well.

Thundercrack83, Gaston, Meldolion and Filasimo, thank you for your comments, and Tooheys, you are quite right in your assumtion, she was indeed an informer, and Snaper, how nice of you to take time to translate my nonsensical MD - thank you, and Emilin, tack, slagskeppet ser onekligen bra ut i stadsbebyggelse, and Rooker1, those surviving the target practice all have been compensated with new homes.

Residual photos of Bliss

The embassy building collapses at the hands of demolition experts, deemed useless since no other regime had expressed any desire to appoint an ambassador to Bliss.

In its place, apartment buildings were swiftly constructed.

Bright lights, big city, with the larger Mount Bliss to the right and the smaller Baby Mount Bliss to the left.

The purpose of this loop...

...is to provide drivers with variety while simultaneously surprise them with an interesting challenge.

Up, up...

...and away.

And remember, that in one of the helicopters vigilantly hovering above you, the Secret Police always look for look out for you.

that is a crazy tall mountain! whenever I stop by here I come away feeling a little sadder...slightly depressed  $%Grinno$%  ;D  :D

Filasimo

the rebel group that the surviving miso has formed had this statement to say: The regime that has taken over Bliss will fall soon!

Hehe . . . that was a classic update.  I don't recall seeing Baby Mt. Bliss before.  That thing's straight up and down.  I also like how you totally roller-coaster-ed that Road, too.  Always looking out for the people, Russell.  You and the regime are true humanitarians. ;)  Hope the space program has been going well.

Another wonderful update, Russell! Great work!

tooheys

Mate, this city is so ugly it's beautiful. I hope you salvaged all the hidden cameras and bugs from the embassy before destroying it. $%#Ninj2
I'm a bit worried though, the new apartment buildings seem to have a touch of blue in there appearance. Is this a sign of a weakening in the Regime, surely not!

Cheers

Well, that has got to be the first time I have seen Marrast's loop in an actual journal. Bliss is surely one of a kind.

Edit: And I just noticed that you are using jeronij's sidestreet mod. What a strange oddity with palmtrees along the streets of Bliss. Somehow it seems to fit perfectly with the rest of the madness. ;D

I was thinking that, too! Only the regime could shower its people with such lavish gifts, all while supporting a top-notch space program!

Amazing...........just amazing. &apls

Tarkus: Thank you. Humanitarianism thrive in Bliss, as you already have noticed  :P

Filasimo: As I already said, I only have about two more updates left before I'm through with Bliss. But I have to admit I'm intrigued by your suggestion. Say what you have in mind and I'll see what I can do.

Tooheys: Thank you. The bugs and microphones were indeed salvaged and then recycled by being put to use in homes of unknowing citizens.

Emilin: Thank you. And yes, the palm trees are indeed an oddity, but a decorative one.

Thundercrack83: Thank you. And the Regime continues to indulge its subjects with gifts, the latest being a copy of an opera house, I'll present it in the next update.

Rooker1: Thank you for the use of the word "amazing".  ;)

Urban: An ambassador from the Durewan Antilles would have been most welcome, had the Regime not decided to end its attempts to form alliances with foreign powers. But your suggestion was nevertheless appreciated.

More is to come.

End of communication.

That's a very great picture of that area with many buildings!

Those are some amazing (hehehe) stats.  I have never been able to get that many sims....3.4 million....Amazing!  I stiil can't get over how amazing this MD is.  You have an amazing amount of skyscrapers.  Isn't your computer amazingly slow?  I know mine would be amazingly slow, if not even slower.  Amazing work as always and I will be back with a new word!

8 million people? On one city tile? That's remarkable! I think the most I ever got was about around 2 million. But, then again, my city did not have a benevolent government like the regime of Bliss! Great job, Russell! I can't wait to see more!

Tarkus

Yowza!  8.5 million?  I have to concur with Robyn, here.  I really hope you and the regime have a fast enough computer to handle it.  If it's on a large tile, it means the population density of Bliss would be 2,125,000 per sq. km, or 3,400,000 per sq. mi.  Craziness.  I'm sure their needs are accounted for.   ;)

Wouanagaine, Urban, Bat, Rooker1, Thundercrack83, Tarkus - thank you for you comments and your attention. I understand it's hard to believe that Bliss has such a large population, and that there is room for so many on a single tile, and how my computer can handle a city of that size - but it's a new computer, and I'm not the least interested in understandings these boring technical things, but I looked, or rather tryed to, and finally I got the computer to say something about 2.41 GHz, 2.00 GB and Core Processor 4600+. That means nothing to me, but I'm sure you can make something out of it.

However, working with a city this size isn't as fun as it seems - for instance, it takes forever for new buildings to be built, I sometimes get lost in my own city trying to locate certain areas, and running the simulation in full speed doesn't go that fast at all. So I'm in the process of shifting my attention to several kinds of smaller cities to make things more varied and fun.

Bliss at night, with the battleship - the pride and joy of both the Blissians and the Regime - moored to the left...

...and this pride and joy sometimes causes destruction...

...of major kind by accidentally (?) firing a cannon...

...whereas other demolitions are done in a more planned and sensible manner...

...to make room for new architectural designs...

...and while the Blissians work and work and work, such as here...

...in the brand new Industrial Area Nr. 76, oddly rural in its appearance because of all those trees...

...they are completely unaware of the fact that out in the region there now exists another city: Serene, on which the Regime quietly has worked to divert itself from the increasingly tedious Bliss - and with a population of only 2,3 million, Serene, this tiny duplicate of Bliss, is practically a village by comparison, and much more easy to handle.
