Thanks Rooker!  And for your viewing pleasure, here's a couple more mech lots I've made;  a small 1x2 brick warehouse and a 2x2 factory.  Cheers!

Must have more industrial stuff.  This is great work.

Jestarr:

Love your Ganong Chocolate Factory, I assume that it is based on the real Ganong Factory located in Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada. If so, how did you become aware of Ganong's? It is the oldest chocolate manufacturer in Canada and claims to have invented the chocolate bar. The model you created looks very much like the original factory building (which is now a chocolate museum). Did you find a photo on the internet? Just wondering.
Go Sens!!

jestarr

@simdad:  I actually found it on the internet by googling for "old factory pictures".  There are, interestingly enough, numerous pictures of the Ganong Factory in Saint Stephens.  Unfortunately, most are fairly current, and only show it as a restaraunt and museum, so I had to take a few "liberties". :D  By the way, their claim, as the originators of the chocolate bar, seems to have merit.  Afaict, their market date for that product, preceeds any other, that I'm aware of, by quite a margin ( I actually did some extensive research on this).  ;D  Cheers!

very very very nice!  &apls
The most astounding and unique aspect of the human race is our fervent application of our ingenuity to kill each other, thus completely defying the near-universally proven fact that the ultimate goal of a member of a species is to ensure the survival of the species.

jestarr

I'm glad you all  like them. ;D  OK, moving on.

@patfirefghtr:  Here's a list of what's currently in the "working on" queque, so to speak.  Since my attention span is limited, I have to have a lot of them.

The Black Ice Plant
Freds Diner
Garibaldi's Macaroni Factory
The J. Myers Brewery
Piscali's Pallet Factory
South China Tea Company
Talc Plant (this will be a mech lot)
Underhill Casket Factory
Valley Produce Packing

Also, I've just started this one.  Pay no attention to the textures; they won't be staying.  There's still much to do on the model, plus I've some ideas for a few auxiliary buildings/props that I may add.  Cheers!

Sim Shady

ahh....its been very quiet on the BATing front by most of our best BATers, but not you  ;D  This thread is like chicken soup for the SC4 soul everytime i come here...lol

rooker1

That's quite the list you have there.  Even if you had 1000 industrial bat out, I'd find a way to fit them all in my city.  That's my my way of saying great work and I really can't wait to see what's coming next.

Hey Jestarr, first off I want to say you have done an excellent job on your creations.  Keep it up!

I have a texture issue with your recent releases, the Ganong Chocolate Factory and Schwartz Chemical Company.  In LE where the texture is supposed to be, there's just a white block that translates into transparency in-game.  Here's a couple examples from LE:

I'm 100% certain that I have all the dependencies, and I don't think there's any conflicting files anywhere in my massive plugins folder.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

mightygoose

well for whatever reason the correct base textures are not in your plugins folder... whether the dependencies are incorrectly lited or you have missed them you will need to check with jestarr.
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

ky72x:  Look in here - "#MyDocuments#\Simcity 4\Plugins\BSC\BSCTextures".  There should be a file named "jes_SchwartzTextures.dat" in that folder.  It contains the textures you're missing.  I've just checked the installer and it really is there. ;D  When you installed it, something may have happened and the file went missing (this has happened to me).  If it's missing, just re-run the installer and check that it actually showed up.  If it doesn't let me know and I'll look into it further.  Cheers!

Edit:  This file should also be in the above folder: "jes_MiscTextures01.dat".  This contains the textures for the Ganong lot.

ky72x

Thanks for your help mightygoose and jestarr.

jestarr: It turns out that the installer actually put the texture files in my dad's folder in his account, so obviously the textures did not show up on the lots.  All I had to do was move the files to my plugins folder.  Thanks again!
