Can't keep squashing. He will just end squashed like panecake :P

That's exactly what I feel like after work, so it's realistic  ?=mad)=

Reworked the model. Well its more a new model than anything else:

Made the corners and the roof a little more round. Added some planes for the undercarriage, so its a separate area on the texture.
Also the lower part of the side panels turns inwards.

Another treat for you all:

Glad you like it.

After I started working with different kind of layer types, its easier to change the colors and still keep the shadows and highlights.

A bit by accident, I forgot to change the colors on the doors before I "exported" the texture for the engine,
just to see how it looks:

Well looks like another texture is on the way. :)

EDIT: Looking at the picture, it looks like I forgot to turn on the writings and logos ect. on the blue car with red doors. Still, you get the general idea.

Brilliant work with the trains

Simtropolis Moderator here. Can I help? Oh, and you can call me Elias (my real name) if you wish.

vester

Thanks for Elias.

Got started on the Huis Ten Bosch train:

I think I will adjust the orange color. It was a bit hard to get right.

Let me know what you think.

Got the engine done as well:

Can you get in doubt of where this train is going:

Huis Ten Bosch ?

Going a little crazy or is it just me ?

MandelSoft

Lol! A "dutch" train in Japan? Surely, you can't be serious... :D

FYI, Huis Ten Bosch is the living palace of queen Beatrix.

vester

Huis Ten Bosch is a Japanese theme park as well.
Its builded up of real sized copies of old Dutch buildings:

In that area there were a Dutch trading post.

MandelSoft

Ah, that! I knew something like that existed... However, it looks so contradicting, dutch buildings and mountains in the same picture :D

I see what you mean, but there is a lot of mountains around Japan.

Here is a last one for the road:

Hanshin Electric Railway.

Elements taken from the 1000 series:

...others from the 900 series and a lot of reuse of element from the JR Kyushu KiHa 200DC.

Yay, more models to test. ;D

That reminds me, I haven't finished testing the last couple of skins... I'll do that tomorrow [later today] as I have plenty of time in the afternoon.

vester

Rayden: Sended you a PM.

Arthur: Could you put the red JRK 200 DC to the top of the line ?
Want to see if its to saturated or not.
