Arne, these look great! Maybe a little bit more purple on the roof of the Milwaukee Road, but that's up to you.

As a suggestion, I know the details are small in game, but perhaps you could add in some interior details on the skydome cars in the nightlights, as an added touch? Not sure if it would be worth t, but it'd be kind of neat to maybe give the suggestion of people inside, esp since it's one of the few cases where the SC4 camera really lets you see inside properly.

Purple ... wow  how could you see that... I had to turn up the saturation and brightness to see that......

Have done two Super Dome carriages for Alaska Railroad:

One more is on its way, but had to rework the roof, time to the texture for the roof/dome....

Not so much seeing as knowing it had to be there, seeing as you chose (as I would have) the more famous of the Milwaukee Road liveries. If I recall correctly (not that I'm really old enough to), the livery had orange and red toned sides, with a deep purple (borderline dark) roof.

At least, that's what it is in all of my books that illustrate it (not too many color pictures, unfortunately). Also, nice work with the Alaska railroad livery (superdome, at least). Dedgren should be pleased.

Ahh, that is what you meant.

The colors on the skins are matched to real pictures.

Updated the mod anyway:

Not the big change but every so little.

A third type of bi-level carriage has been delivered to the Alaska Railroad:

The height of the bi-level carriages is just under 7 meters.

Another train spotted.

This is going to be modded so you can either have all one-level cars, have all bi-level cars or a mixture of them.

You're bringing back the Golden Age of rail travel, and I love it. The only critique I have so far would be with the Union Pacific version. For some reason, the cars either seem too short, or the texture seems too stretched. A few more windows, condensing the lettering, or lengthening the car body (not sure how feasible that is) would help what is already a good looking model.

The cars on all the train sets has the same configuration of windows and doors.
Not sure I would get into changing that at the moment. Maybe later.....

The windows and doors are not model, but "painted" on the textures:

Lengthening of the body, is not really an option. The length is about what looks okay in the game even with NAM's smoother curves.
Will try to rework the windows....

Rolling on....

This one I am not sure about the roofs. As I haven't seen any pictures of the Daylight train with dome or bil-level cars, I have been in a bit of lost here, about how the roof should be. This is my third try.
What do you think ?

&apls &apls The trains are so awesome.  Great work and effort.  The new one looks good but I am not a good reference point.   ()what()

Sent a message to one of my friends who has an affinity for the Daylight, as well as railroads in general. If he has any tips, I'll be sure to pass them along.

With respect to the windows, it's really only an issue on the UP single story car. If you can add 2 more windows to the side, or condense the lettering a bit, I think they'd look fine.
