Hello again,

After the first failed attemp, I've decided to start again from scratch. Thanks Simfox for your suggestions btw  , however I havent been able to implement them all, but it seems this time the model is good for a render.

I have made a more simplified model ( visually and geometrically speaking), but which is close to the real one

but this time renders fine, even with night lights  ::)

Now how it looks like in an urban environement -day

and night.

I am not sure about the scale, specially compared to some other surrounding buildings, but the floors are 3.5 meters ( which is already out of scale  $%Grinno$% ), so it should be more or less ok. Pls, tell me what you do think about it, and which changes are necesssary ( if any  :P )

The scale looks fine and if you are using 3.5 - 4m for the floor height it will certainly fit with most other recent w2w residential buildings.

I liked the look of this when you first started it and still think it will be a great addition to any euro-style city.

My suggestion is, that leave 2-3 metres space between frontwall and road, because most of W2W makers (like me and Odd from Sweden) do that. Then it will fit better with other stuff

jeronij

Thanks for the suggestions and comments

Bengt, the facade is one meter "inside" the building, and I cant leave so much space without redesigning the building  ::). However, I thik they will fit nicely  ;)

I have played with the model and some aditional textures, and I have almost completed this set.  ( perhaps I'll add one or two additional textures models)

You can see the three models in action in the following pictures.

btw, I am making simple props to test them. I will surely need help to make them growable  ;D

you know if you made a corner version then we could have entire districts of them

Hola Jeroni, this is a welcome addition to the game, and not only in Spanish version of it

Shadow Assassin

It looks good, but it'd be interesting to see more billboards pasted onto the side. Right now, it looks very boring on the sides.

Otherwise, it's a very good model.

Hi Jeronij... look super nice my friend...

The new colors are fine IMO. It only look as if you had used another antialiazing setting on the grey one!?!?
That will be brilliant to play with your house, can't wait.

Mmmm, you are right. I used catmull-rom for the brown model, but it seems I used area render for the other two. I can see this clearly in my work's screen...  :-[ ... I¡ll have to render them again  ;D

S_A, there are no billboards because they are intended to be in dense urban areas, where there is no free space.... however, I`ll think about it when (if) I make some taller models  ;)

All: thanks for the feedback. I am working in a corner model at the moment, but I have no pictures yet.... I'll keep you informed

I don't think that's going to be a problem.
Just drag and drop your model to "medium wealth" (or high or low if you want), change the values and save.

Since Jeronij does have access to Wouanagaine's "X Tool", I would be highly surprised and annoyed with him if he used Maxis PIM. :D
However, the drag and drop works the same in the "X Tool" ;)

Of course I have the best available tools  ()stsfd() , but even so, since these are my first "alive" creations, I will need some supervision just to make sure that everything is ok  ;)

I finally found some time to re-render the two aditional models from my home, and I started with a corner building...

I hope you like the progress in this project  ;)

Great work Jero, can't wait to see how these turn out in-game. This looks like it will be the first complete W2W set of the same style, I can't remember many which have corner pieces as well as straight etc.
Keep it up!

Fred
