Using diagonals

Well, no new posters. Hopefully diagonals will get people's attention. But, this update is from Ullanlinna (because I can't always show Ronja, can I?) and besides SimCity pictures and return of The Pink Car I show you the metro map of Ullanlinna. I would show Tram map too, but it's too hard to make it.

Pat Riot: Well, lets just say that it was Irish band  Thank you for comments and yes, prepos diagonals are awesome. But I must use other diagonals as well, because I want to avoid repetition and - horror - prepo's work isn't enough!

Metro of Ullanlinna is at the moment quite small, but I'm gonna expand it. I named stations as numbers for the map, but now I name the stations
1 = Kauppakorkeakoulu // School of Economics ---- 2 = Kasarmi // The Barracks ---- 3 = Maria (the main station of metro) ---- 4 = Kapinat // Riots
3 = Maria ---- 1 = Rautatientori // Railway Square
3 = Maria ---- 1 = Viktorinkatu // Victor's Street ---- 2 = Malminkatu // Ore Street

You propably think were name Kapinat // Riots come? When Ullanlinna was young city, gangs usually clashed in this area which was filled with warehouses. Then one fight turned to larger riot which burned the warehouses and industries. Area was known as Industrial docks before it name was changed to Riots in 1902.

I really must do something for JRJ's street mod so I can get rid of red bricks and I could change it to sandstone mod. Though jagged edges-removal mod would be better..

City is still growing, so don't notice that small house.


Old barracks is demolished nowdays, but new super mall is named after it and whole area. Kasarmin ostoskeskus in the right, Stickmann's department store and McDonald's Qaddro HQ.

It seems you've made the pink car your trademark. I can always find one in at least one picture every update.

Diagonals look good, too. It'll be interesting to see what you do with your diagonal BATs in those spaces that aren't filled up with prepo's diagonal BATs.

Forgive me that I'vent made decent update for week or two, damn school. And I see that my MD has received 0 points, those who undervalue MD could also tell a reason here.

Next update is from Aleksanterinkaupunki, city of Aleksanteri, south from Kissala the casino city. Aleksanterinkaupunki is suburb // High tech industry area for Kissala, it has small harbour and even own CBD. City is filled with suburban houses and supermarkets.

suplado! Thanks! IMO diagonals look also good, but most annoying this is that you need to fill up those empty spaces next to them some how.

Aleksanterinkaupunki Downtown & Suburbs part 1.

Sorry about the delay, SC4 crashes more often when using Vista and I've been building this same area for couple of weeks now  THANK YOU BILL GATES!

Anyway, update continues from the teaser. Aleksanterinkaupunki is rather young and "American" city, next to Kissala. City has some old W2W buildings like Ronja, but Aleksanterinkaupunki became city in the 1974 when its population suddenly grew with tens of thousands, thanks to Kissala.

For me, city is "true Qaddro" and reminds me when I started the whole region from Kali months ago.

Downtown. There is no big companies, except Ocean which own tower is blue, round triangle. Ocean is Qaddro's largest oil company. Their service station can be seen next to freeway.

Aleksanterinkaupunki part 2.

Now I will show more from Aleksanterinkaupunki. I've built more of the city and I had to make changes to skyline because CO§§§-demand is so high. Nothing talking much, next update will show airport and railways.

This update will be known as Al Gore-update.

Good public transportation will cool down the climate.


With large glass facades you don't need to heat up or light up your house as much as brick houses.


Eating vegetables instead of meat will slow down the deforestation and allow more food for everyone.
