This is Fort Henry air force base. It's very small base located in the mountains of my region.

Here is the main office and the some of the main terminal area that houses the meeting rooms and mission briefing rooms. The construction going on towards the lower right is the beginning of the new air traffic control tower.

Here is the terminal.

Some fighter jets that are ready to take off at a moments notice.

A C-17 has just landed and not too soon, the weather is starting to turn bad.

Here is an overview of the main area, it's a full on blizzard now.

I hope you enjoyed this update! Once again, please comment!

Very nice looking air force base! I continue to really like the snowy, wintery feel of this area. Those forests look almost exactly like the one I can see out the window in front of me! I look forward to more and wish you good luck with your internet

peter007

very nice winter scene jayster. I wish that I could live in such a beautiful land  ::)

canyonjumper

Wow! Looking great! Love the snow!

              Your friend,
                             Jordan
I'm the one who jumped across the Grand Canyon... and lived.

This certainly is a change of pace for you. Its a welcome change though as this military base is pretty damn cool. Whatever the military is using to keep those trees radioactive green during winter must be from some UFO crash landing or something  ;D

Nego

Awesome update, Jayster! This one is definitely one of my favorites! It's very creative and original. I like it! I also love the snow. In fact, it just snowed here last night!

Snow:
☁☁☁☁☁☁
  ❅   ❆   ❄
    ❄   ❅
  ❆   ❄   ❅
☃    ☃    ☃

(^Sorry if they show up as boxes. They're really snowflakes^)

And do I spy some photoshopping there? 'Cause it looks great! Can't wait for the next update!

Battlecat

Excellent job on the airport!  I like the winter scenes, particularly the last shot!

noahclem: Thanks! My Internet seems to be working much better now.
peter007: Haha thanks for the comment!
canyonjumper: Thanks!
RickD: Thank you!
cubby420: Haha thanks, I suppose I could have changed the base texture and the trees in the LE but I don't know why I didn't...
Nego: They somewhat showed up as snowflakes! Thanks for the comment!
Battlecat: Thank you very much!

Well I've been busy with a personal project of mine... Let's see if you guys can guess what it is...

Hope you guys enjoy the picture!

Battlecat

Looks like your mod is coming along quite nicely!  I'm looking forward to seeing some more shots of it in action!

io_bg

Nice teaser, can't wait to see more of this town!
Visit my MD, The region of Pirgos!

That looks like a picture from Dead Man's Point, though I remember that you restarted with a new region a while back, so I'm not so sure that it is. As for your personal project, it looks like you've modified the textures for the GLR AVE pieces. If so, they look nice. If not, where did you download those textures, and what is your personal project then? Whatever it is, it's probably awesome! Anyway, I can't wait for your next update!

cubby420

My bet is on the GLR textures. Cool urban block by the way.

noahclem

Nice gritty neighborhood  &apls   The GLR in Ave looks great   The picture looks like it's from a few decades ago (besides the modern-looking cars). Looking forward to more!

Tomas Neto

Really a nice picture!!!
Happy new year!!!

mave94

Really nice region! :D
I like how green your cities are
And no maxis, mmm... :)
Love the way of using custom buildings
Guess you changed the textures of the GLR?

Battlecat: Thanks, I'll see if I can get something posted of the Street part of it
io_bg: Thanks, I actually scrapped this town because of "issues" with things not working out, a new, better city has replaced it.
Nego: Yes, that is my current project  ()stsfd() It's been a piece of work so far, I'm lost because I don't know what to change the brightness and contrast too so the pieces will blend nicely with the sidewalk textures.
cubby420: And you're a winner! Thanks  ;)
noahclem: After taking a few looks, it somewhat does heh heh.  :)
Tomas Neto: Thanks, and happy New Years to you too!
MrMAvE94: Thank you, yes I have changed the avenue textures, well most of them at least.

I'm just letting you guys know that I'm still here. I haven't really been able to play much but I'll try and get some pictures out showing the modified street GLR.

Happy New Year to everyone! (a little late, I know, but I spent New Years on a cruise with no Internet)

Jayster

Jayster

So here's a picture showing the completed Street GLR.

Enjoy!

Hey, Jayster, where did you get those cul-de-sacs? They look much better than the ones I have. A download link would be great. Thanks! :)

Your GLR mod is coming along great! Can't wait for more! &apls Keep up the great work!

Battlecat

The mod is looking good Jayster!  The brightness/contrast issue is a big pain.  I wish there was an easier solution to matching the brightness and contrast.

@Nego: Actually I think those might be my cul-de-sacs.  They are here on simtropolis.
