I'm getting vertigo from just looking at Newcastle.  Great update though, and as Joan said, kudos for the pioneering spirit.

Thanks also for the CAM advice Dave.  I'm relieved that I can pick and choose what building plugins to use.

Stewart
First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

Fantastic update as always, tooheys! Great work!

pipishere

Wow Newcastle really has grown!! Cool night pics too!! The Naval base looks fab....and i was watching a clip on Youtube the other day that was of that actual event with the ship and lighthouse! lol  :D

Great Work!  &apls

rooker1

You were right about New Castle, there has been some big changes.  You have some very tall sky scrapers.  I also like the little naval port.  Great work all together.

patfirefghtr: Thankyou my friend, I'll forgive you this time but don't do it again  $%#Ninj2

thundercrack83: Thanks Dustin, and you haven't missed too much, I think this is my longest period between updates, a whole week.

Jmouse: Joan, thanks for those great comments. I don't know about courage, dutch courage might be more
appropriate

stewart_garden: Thanks Stewart, you can always work on the ground floor  ;)

bat: bat, what are you doing this far down the list :). Thanks for the comments.

pipishere: You caught me out pip, not everything comes out of this brain of mine. But it's a good
story and I had to add it in somehow, although I think the story is a bit of an urban myth. Thanks for
commenting.

rooker1: Thanks Robin, now the challenge of controlling the CAM.

Snaper: Snaper, this is how I play, sad isn't it  &mmm. Appreciate the comments.

Balnavia

With the introduction of the CAM, regional population is steadily climbing towards 1 million sims.

Lansvale

C 42k
I  15k

Lansvale is down the river from Newcastle and the highrise development has continued along the banks. All
buildings here are growable.

The university clinic, both a hospital and a research centre. Never had a sick day in your life,
the students here would like to see you. Survive a week in their care, being introduced to diseases
from Ebola to Bird Flu and you will receive a lifetime of free medical care. Of course, if you
survive the week, you probably will never need the prize.

On the hills, or terraces as known by the locals, residential growth has been quite good. The
only complaint from the locals is the men who walk the roads late at night in the hope of seeing
"a bit of action" in the buildings on the terrace below. Police patrols have increased, but it has
been noted that they seem to congregate in an spot with a great view into the apartment
of Gridget Gardot.

Across the river, some further residential development has occurred in the hills. Surprisingly the housing
here is quite affordable but this is expected to change over time.

Note the hospital to the left and the dirt road leading up to it. Local govt and the hospital remain in
dispute as to who should pay for paving the road. Until this is resolved, when it rains, the hospital is only open to anyone
weighing under 70kgs as anyone heavier would just see the ambulances sliding back to the bottom of the hill.

The lookout on the left provides a great view of the river and the city on the other side. The lookout is also
the location of the most horrific crime ever committed in Balnavia. Late one evening someone threw their best
mates full beer fridge over the edge, into the bush far below. Rescuers rushed to the area but were horrified
to find all the victoms either smashed to pieces on the forest floor or warm and leaking profusely, obviously
beyond recovery. Later captured, the culprit had little to say, other than the fridges actions had always chilled him.

Will try, for another update within the next couple of days, but no promises. RL is a bit hectic at the
moment.

Anyway, thanks for dropping by, and until next time

Cheers

Dave

Wonderful new update, tooheys! Great region overview!

Jmouse

I was beginning to wonder if you were sinking into a CAM-mire. Instead, you've produced another fine update I'm happy to see.
Lansvale is very attractive and I actually like the tall buildings. Maybe CAM is growing on me -- I think maybe I can tolerate it.
And whatever is going on in RL, I hope it will be resolved quickly and painlessly.

Until next time...

Bravo fiston :P ( in English little boy, a new expression in Belguim ;D )

I'm glad to see the Balnavia is still going strong while I was away! Great update today, Lansvale looks fantastic! I'm back from vacation and I'll be following along again, my friend! Take care!

pipishere

Very nice update indeed!! Could i suggest a train mod of some kind....your CJ deserves a more realistic skin then that terrible blue and white!  :)

rooker1

Very nice update.  I really like your transit layout.  All the roads looks very cool and well planned.  The only thing I don't like is the maxis high tech industry, but, hey, that's just my opinion.  I think they are too blue.  You won't find any in my finished industrial areas.  I have the tax rate at 20%.  hehehe

bat: Bat, back home at the top of the list  ;) Thanks for dropping by again.

Jmouse: Hi Joan, I'm sure you can handle the CAM. Put simply it's another progression in the game. SC4-SC4RH-NAM-CAM.
You determine how much impact you want it to have, you don't need to give it free reign like I did in Newcastle, that was
just an experiment. 6mths time and we'll probably be all wondering what the fuss was about and waiting for the next big Mod.

patfirefghtr: Pat, there's something wrong with your post, there's a nasty red rash running
thru the middle of it, hope you're taking something for that ;D.

You're grasp of Aussie Slang is getting better, I'll PM you a list of favourite phrases, it might be a bit blue to
include here. Thanks for the comments mate.

Snaper: Snaper you're not making fun of my boring existance are you  :). Appreciate the comments.

thundercrack83: Hi Dustin, all rested I hope. I see Pat is causing you trouble already, I'd be keeping an eye on him,
something strange going on there  ::)

pipishere: Thanks pip. Another minor detail I tend to overlook. Always need a bit of prodding to install mods
to improve the SC4 defaults. Will have a look around and see what I can come up with. Appreciate the
suggestion. Cheers.

rooker1: Yeah, but it's a bit of a necessary evil sometimes. There are just not a lot of custom lots available for HT.
Thanks for dropping by Robin and appreciate the comments. Hey, whenever you see something you don't like,
let me know, only way to learn (of course it might go in one ear and out the other) ;D

Blackheath

A small residential population, the main attraction being the walking trails around the falls and small lakes.

Just voted in for his stand on conservation, the Mayor decided to spend what was left of his campaign funds
to put on a fireworks display. The 27 spot fires that suddenly sparked up did little to impress his Greenie
supporters.

The Ranger station and general store. Don't want to walk to the top, rent a horse, only $5 p/h plus fuel, and
that grows freely along the trail. Insurance is extra.

The top lake. A popular camping area with self contained cabins and tent sites.
If a tree falls in the woods will your hear it, of course (unless you're standing or
sleeping directly underneath it)

One of the more popular camping areas, surprisingly it is regularily booked out by
the local monastry. They spend most of the time silently moving thru the forest,
hoping to here the sound of one hand clapping.

And this is the Home for Wayward Girls. Strange name really as they all seem to know where they
want to go, they just want to get the ..(mmmm, restraint Dave, don't want to follow in Pat's footsteps).. their butt out of there.

Cheers all

Dave

I really liked this update, it was awesome.  The walking trails along side the river and falls.  Great work and very scenic.

Fantastic new update! Wonderful lake and the area around it!

thundercrack83

Another brilliant update here, my friend! I love that camping area! Blackheath definitely looks like a place I want to visit. Keep up the good work, my friend!

Jmouse

Absolutely love the camp ground!  I got the little suspension bridge, too, but haven't found a place for it yet.
Looking back at your region map I downloaded on 18 Aug., I hope you'll create some more hilly areas. You're very good at using them to the best advantage. I'm working with multi-level terraforming right now, too, but nothing nearly as scenic as Blackheath.
And I'm proud of you for showing restraint. I've always known you were full of it!

Until next time...
Joan
