Sciurus Thanks for your question. I selected monkeys because they are the favorite of the Junior Schulmanator. Some of his monkeys have been featured in the story. Baby Monkey, Curious George and Grape Ape as well as several Ty Beanie Baby monkeys are characters as well. When the Junior Schulmanator is happy, joy rains down upon Monkey Island.

We'll explore the lanes and streets...

Perhaps take a train across the Banana River...

Or fish off of the Donkey Kong Bridge.

Maybe get some snacks at a friend's house...

And then a train ride up to scenic Primate Point!

Sciurus I think there are a few more upscale eateries around... but the area around the mall is a bit more fast food and chain restaurant oriented.

Note to all: As I mentioned in the replies above, I will deviate slightly to showcase some Star Trek related stuff here. The movie is coming out in just about 2 weeks. So, I will post some of my stuff here to whip up some excitement! Fear not, the monkeys will return after a bit. Seems more logical (says Spock) to have all of my stuff in one spot rather than starting a short lived thread just for the ST stuff. So far, Monkey Island has had 43 updates. I am planning to have 50 altogether. After which, I will be starting a new project. So, be expecting something cool for a grand finale when the time comes. Meanwhile, prepare to beam aboard Star Trek Outpost Beta 6!
