A wonderful quote from one of my favourite authors, Terry Pratchett, when asked when a book was due to be out:
Whole new love for Barby for being a Terry Pratchett fan
Current project: Movies 14

You may have meant to search for Houdini. (result of searching for XiahouDun on SC4D)

Residentials are all done and on the LEX. Industrials will be next. Then Farms then the plops as they are taking a long time to do.

How many farms and industrials does SG have, anyway? It seems very low, especially in comparison to his commercial army of buildings.

Are the new packs CAMpatible? (the residentials)

Diggis

Yes they are CAMpatible, that is the point of the excercise.

Goober had a good collection of farms, and some industrials too, but not nearly as many as the commercials no.

Pat:  We kiwis are fiercly proud of our All Blacks, and if you get the chance to watch a game you should.  At their best they are nigh on unstoppable, and hopefully we will see that to the fullest extent in October.

Yep. I never intended for there to be a Hooters across from Camelot International Airport. But it happened yesterday after I reworked the SG department. Camelot has more history than largest city ever, you know. First Hooters ever in SimNation.

I saw books in a bookstore last night. Lo and behold, I found Terry Pratchett and immediately thought of this thread.

Sounds about the right place for them..

And Pratchett...All I can say is "Buggrit, millennium hand and shrimp".  If you've not read Pratchett, you're missing out on gems like this:

"The Assassin moved quietly from roof to roof until he was well away from the excitement around the Watch House. His movements could be called cat-like, except that he did not stop to spray urine up against things."
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

Diggis

No, the best bits are the footnotes.  I wish I had my books here, but they are packed away in a box at home  ()sad()

callagrafx

What, like:

Dolphins: never trust a species who smile all the time...They're up to something

Some of Pratchett's own quotes as opposed to from his books are worthy of comment too:
QuoteAs far as I'm aware I'm not specifically banned anywhere in the USA, and
am rather depressed about it.  Surely some of you guys can do
*something?*

QuoteI'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when
there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

QuoteIt gets worse.  I have, before now, waited for a pen to perform a macro.

And my favourite:
QuoteThat seems to point up a significant difference between Europeans and
Americans. A European says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with
me?" An American says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with him?"
