I'll join you Cali, I've got my tea!  Colyn I really like the brick facade but I think the 'floor' is too bright....  to much contrast between it and the other side (I really like the stone/cement-y texture on the other side).  So, when are you and Jeronij going to stop teasing us??????

I have to agree with Fred_Ginger about the textures. I also have to say that I really like the new dam layout. Much more impressive that the previous model, which was already impressive

Colyn,
I love the new dam.   I would have to agree with the others about the texture on the "deck".    I think it makes the scale look odd.    I would agree with Fred-Ginger that the cement texture looks pretty good.    Other than that I'd say it is pretty close to perfect.

Colyn, very nice work. I've though about putting a dam together, but have never had the landscape for it (though your pictures are making me want to break out the god mode tools and change it. Here's what I've come up with recently:

Gaston

Great canal stuff, threestooges.   I'd love to see this same pic from some other angles.   It is difficult to see the difference in elevation from that shot.   Lately I have been fascinated by GLR and canal combinations.   They seem to be a natural together for some reason.

If this doesn't show the elevation changes well enough, let me know, I can get more.

Ditto what they said Threestooges!  I really like how you combined the boardwalk with the canals!

@Colyn:  I forgot to mention earlier how much I like the idea of being able to transition from a dam to canals!!! &apls &apls &apls

Okay threestooges,
You have stumped me again.     How did you make the GLR bridge?     If there are puzzle pieces for this I can't spot them.   LOL    Also the pieces that the "river" runs through (opposing canal ends) look very familiar but then again I have never seen them with the end dropping off like that.

Gaston:
Yeah...that had stumped me too. That part is a continuation of the the earlier pics and I had built it all up before I realized there was no on-slope glr bridge type thing (and I know there isn't b/c I tabbed through the list many times) but what I noticed (and at present have no pictures of...I knew I should've taken them in process but I think I can get some...) (got it) that there was a glr/elevated rail ramp, an idea came to me.

EDIT: In order to save space/loading time, and to keep this thread on topic, I have moved the glr bridge making tutorial. It can now be found in the "HOW TO BUILD..." tutorial section of this site that you can link to (here).

Thanks threestooges.    After looking at the pics a while and then "playing" with the GLR pieces a bit  I sorta thaught thats might be what you did.   Very kool indeed.    I haven't done alot with GLR.   I am a bit afraid of it and elevated rail.   I am always crashing the game by "hovering" over transit enabled stuff.     And I hate when it crashes.     :angrymore:   Thanks again for showing the process.
BTW, do you know if you have to "activate" the ramps by running el-rail through them like you have to do with the GLR stations?    (I just recently found that bit of information out.   LOL)    Hmmm, maybe we should start up a "Show us your ... GLR" thread.    Then smart people (yup I'm sucking up.    ;) ) like you could post tutorials and such on how to use GLR properly.     Plus we'd all get to see some really kool stuff.   Hmmmm, I'll have to think about that some.
