Thanks papab, tabi, art, sim-al, ShadeSlayer, ElPhantasmo, Ra1n, mcarch. The 787 was my first gmax scene from scratch and it's nice to see it well recieved!

sim-al, I'd never get away with 40,000 polys and 15MB of textures in Flight Sim :P  The cockpit shape proceeds from the lack of any 'shelf' behind the nosecone, it's all blended together. So it definitely looks different, because almost all jetliners have that shelf.

ShadeSlayer there are 2 new ACA jets on this release, in the future this will most likely expand along with our fleet options.

Giving an exact date is not prudent as we are not done yet .. even with the Lots complete, there's several days of serious modding work. And gathering the dependency packs together... and testing... late next week we'll be in the home stretch and I'll update a release time then.

time to start posting some pics  ;D
Stage 8, concourse A and FBO ramp.

You can see here why it's taken 10 months to bring this project to conclusion: One CRJ, two 737s, an A321, three Barons, two Challengers... and a bit of 747 in the corner. And that's just one-half of one Lot, in a series of nine

My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

Glory be unto the modder and unto the fun and unto the city game!

Thanks everybody! I'm pleased to report that everything is packed up and ready for modding to start, and we should have a firm release date soon.

Here's two pics of Stage 7... featuring the 788 and 753 posted earlier, plus the new United 757-200:

Stages 5-9 are all 14x35 tiles. This size allows for plenty of detail, yet doesn't take up much of the city.

These look absolutely stunning voltaire!!!

Just one question (and I know this has probably been answered before, but I couldn't find the answer in the last few pages of posts)... for those of us who are building our airports piece by piece using your previously released "individual pieces", will we be able to add the new planes such as the 757s and 787s to our airports as separate pieces?  Or will they be tied in to the prefabs only?

Fatsuhono

I love it, looking great Voltaire san. However, there is something I want to bring up.

I loved your RMIP, and it give me the opportunity to have realistic long runways. I feel that RMIP and ACB-VLT terminal sets were amazing to break the unrealistic default airports, but I don't thinking that your new airport's runway (560m) would be long enough to handle a 757-2, or a 787-8, do you?

But anyway, I do appreciate the amount of work you put into this Voltaire-san, don't worry, this is just my imput. :)

That looks excellent!  Like a lot of work put into there!
I'd just like to point out though that the 787 and connecting jetways seem to be much brighter when compared to other nearby aircraft and connecting jetways such as the 757s.

these are great but where can i download them?  &apls

Great Work!  Can't wait... I've tried to create a custom airport, but it sucks.  can't wait for the prefabs!!!

Voltaire

Thanks ShadeSlayer, PLT, art, papab, allan, mcarch

Fatsuhono-san the pavement system is certainly not designed to scale ;)  Even a 737 would need triple this runway's length to take off. The size of the Lot was more important in this case, it's slightly smaller than the Maxis international airport.

The 737s will come out first, portlandexpos, then the larger stuff. It may be a month or two though -- just now I don't look forward to another round of making modulars (would be the 8th time, if we're counting... and we are).

Jetbridge lighting: the 787 and 747 have a lightpole, in the last pic you can see one near the staircase.

These lots aren't finished yet wargodkills, we'll be releasing them in maybe a couple of weeks.
