I'm a plop fiend. At least half these buildings were placed before I unpaused the game for the first time. 90% were plopped by the time I was done. But the sims liked it. Congestion is reasonable on Z low thanks to extensive mass transit, and no red at all since I switched to Z medium. The tile has 1.46 million Sims so far, and 800k commercial jobs; only 175k industrial since the tile next to it is a huge industrial zone/port complex.

This is the entire Southern Skyscraper Forest (so far) and the only area of the city finished. Look at the population  ;D.
I love airplanes.

BuildingUp

Here's a picture of a smaller downtown area I was working on.

mikeski

One from a smaller city I've been working on

io_bg

mikeski - looks nice, however there's quite a lot of repetition of buildings!
BuildingUp - great shot, I really like the photoshopping. I think you should try your luck with this one in the Picture competition!

Here are two pics from me

Some pictures of the center of Tokai.
About 400,000 people work in the CBD of Tokai.

If some part of this big CBD are still too much offices ghetto, I trie to create an active CBD mixing shops and skyscrapers.

well~ hi everyone
long time no see ;D

preparing for an exam these days, and got little time with my city.
and wish when getting through the test, i could take sometime to make a few updates, at the beginning of april.
and if time permits, maybe a MD of Christchurch can be considered too. anyway that's all depends. :-[

However, the Christchurch is developing all the time, in despite of how busy the mayor was :-[
here is a shot from the city, and hope you love it  %BUd%

3 months later, It comes to summer already...

~Whale's Christchurch~ a place nearby

woodb3kmaster

How absolutely gorgeous, Whale! Might I ask what that large building in the lower-right corner is (the one with the large courtyard in the center)?

Feel brand new. Be inspired.

That should be the "Rail thru building Bulowstrasse" by Odd From Sweden which you can find on the STEX here http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=16352

Great shots everyone!

kodlovag

Very nice shots mikeski. I really interested in the building with the girl on its side. It would fit well to my w2w development.
Visit my MD, welcome to Archipelago

Not all of the Central Skyscraper forest, but a considerable amount. One thing I should point out; this is a new California City, since my laptop with the better one died completly, so I'm using the one in my PC. Population is 181,000. Its not bad, but highest i've had in a single tile was over 2,000,000!

Has a major highway, a regional airprot, and a spectacular cityscape.
EDIT: Airport, not airprot (lol :P).
I love airplanes.
