Well, well well.. Some great pictures here once again. Although you said you haven't played with canals a lot, I must say that you've pinpointed the right looks already. The showcase of Meister-Z's Victoria Gebaude remembered me that I still have a partially finished relot of it laying around.. Thanks for that  ::)

Greetings,
Casper

I'm not even going to attempt a round of Jeopardy here... but I had to stop by and say that I've loved your last couple of pictures.   &apls

December 8 was a beauty... especially with the building in the lower left fitting so perfectly into the diagonal corner there.  The fact that you made that all work so close to an underground expressway is most impressive and speaks very highly of your city building skills!

Today's picture was also very nice.  I really love the canals and can only wish that I could make them fit in as well as you have.  The row of buildings along the left side of the lower (southern?) canal branch is wonderful but it's the circular building across the way that really makes the picture work in my opinion.  Great job (as always)!!!

projectadam: Hi! Thanks for playing, my friend! We'll see how your answers stand!

alan_vzla: Thanks, my friend! And thanks for playing again, too!

Joan (Jmouse): Thanks so much, Joan! I'm still trying to get the hang of canals at this point. There's a lot of pieces in there that I have to sort out. And don't worry about being too busy for the latest round, we'll catch you next time!

Zack (woodb3kmaster): Hmmm....are you correct? We'll see...

bluesinjid: That's OK! Thanks for your support!

Casper (caspervg): I'd love to see what you do with the lot of Victoria Gebäude, my friend! Thanks for stopping by and for your great comments!

Jon (JBSimio): Hi, Jon! Thank you so very much for your comments and support, my friend! It means a lot to me!

Well, I think we have some results...

$200: alan_vzla, What is Boris?
$400: projectadam, What is Platoon?
$600: Zack (woodb3kmaster), Who is J.D. Salinger?
$800: Zack (woodb3kmaster), What is Damscus?
$1000: projectadam, What is Salzburg?

Today's picture, as well as today's Jeopardy! will follow later. I'm off to bed now, as it's almost 3:00 AM here in Pennsylvania!

See you then!

That's a great picture for December 9 there!
Looking forward to more... ;)

Ahhhh man...I missed a round.  How am I ever to catch up now.
I'll have to pay closer attention.

Hello Dustin,
Hope all is well.
Great picutre and you are doing really well in the SC4D Picture Competition.  &apls

As for the Victoria Gebäude by Meister-z, I just had a look at it and I don't see any way to add more props to the LOT.  The entire model and it's base were BATted together.  This means to get props to show up you need to raise it so high that when you rotate, the props will show up in different places.  You can already notice this with the people props on the LOT.  In one direction they are on the sidewalk and in another they move closer to the middle.  The parking lots on the outside however you can do anything you want there as they are not part of the BAT.  The LOT could be made larger and props could be added around the model.  ;)  Anyways this is one of my favourite models, it's just too bad it was all BATted together.

Sorry for jacking your MD..... &mmm

I look forward to this afternoon and another round of Jeopardy.
Robin

bat: Thank you so much, bat!

Robin (rooker1): Hmmmm...that's a shame about Victoria Gebäude—it's a fantastic building! And don't worry about Jeopardy! either, my friend. There's plenty of rounds to catch up!

DECEMBER 10

Trying to create a more urban housing development-like setting. Similar structures, only distinguishable by their colors, all together in one area.

Oh, and the OSITM picture from December 8 made it through three rounds of competition and has been inducted into the Picture Competition Hall of Fame! Many thanks to all who voted!

Hi Dustin - great idea here.  Jeopardy is not a game I've seen in the UK, so I'll hopefully get the idea......

$200 - What is Division
$400 - Who was Homer
$600 - Where is Warsaw
$800 - Where is Al-Riyadh
$1000 - Who is Alexei

Great pics as well - especially the canal

EDIT: Hi, Paul!

And seeing it in print, I would like to amend the $1000 if that is allowed.......

Thanks

Actually, you can only answer once. And you're second answer was correct, too, so I removed it when I merge your posts! But don't worry, I can neither confirm nor deny at this stage, but you might be onto something! - Dustin (thundercrack83)

Wonderful new picture there! The one for the 10th December is great!
Looking forward to the picture for tomorrow! ;)

Hey, Dustin!

I see you're living up to your OSITM promise of an update a day. Everything looks great, but I do have one peeve. In update nine, the parking lot running between the canal and Victoria Gebaude. I personally hate the Maxis parking lot textures and prefer to use Simgoober's or the ones shown on today's update (which, by the way, I like your use of my favorite lofts!).

Looks like I arrived a bit late to play Jeopardy!, but I'll try and catch the next round. I like what you're doing here, Dustin; giving us quality cities and exercising our brains at the same time. Take care!

Well, it looks like I'm too late to earn anything today, since I can see that the four correct answers I know have already been posted. Nevertheless, I'll stay in the game. My answers:

$200: What is division?
$400: Who is Homer?
$600: What is Warsaw?
$800: What is Riyadh?

On a different note, today's picture is very nice, Dustin! You did a great job with that residential development. I'd love to know what set of BATs that is...

Looking forward to more!

Robin (rooker1): Hey, Robin! Hmmmm...we'll see if you're correct!

Paul (paroch): Your answers look like they may be OK, Paul! We'll have to wait for the official word!

Robin (rooker1): Ha! I said, we'll see!

bat: Thank you so much, my friend!

Dan (dsrwhat316): I know, I'm not a fan of those parking lot texture myself! I wonder if there's anything that can be done...Robin—can anything be done? (tease, tease...)

projectadam: Hello! Thanks for coming by to play! The official word is coming!

Zack (woodb3kmaster): Thanks so much for your kind words, Zack! The lofts are the NDEX Belton Lofts by DuskTrooper.

Karin (Lilojame): Hi, Karin! Don't worry, there's still more round! And see my reply to Zack (woodb3kmaster) for the link to the lofts! Thanks for coming by, my friend!
