.... I think thy are part of Pegasus' Agriculture mod....

Badger Fram? Don't think so. There is a SimGoober crop to the left. The pumpkins, corn, orange flowers, and grape vines are by Couchpotato. Looks like Fred's been making lots again because the purple flowers are maxis.  I'm not sure who did the lime trees ... but they're not Peg's. And the green rows of weeds on the left side of the dirt road could be?  ???  No idea.  :D

let's not leave Peg out - the big turkey farm has Peg's switch grass fields.

- Jim

Ah, yes. I did recognize Simgoober's stuff and the chouchpotato pumpkins, they are in BSC Megaprops misc 1 or 2. The lime trees could be MJB.
I was indeed wondering about the crops that you don't recognize either.
PEG's stuff is, by the way, very good. But not in this image. Fred uses it: it's the corn around the turkey farm in 78.16.

And Fred: so many lots, you must have an awfully long and cluttered series of in game menus. How do you ever find something?

mrbisonm

First, Thanks to all for the comments, as always they are all appreciated and I am pleased that you liked this update.
jmyers2043 is right, most of these plopcrops are Nexis custom plops, some have simgoober's textures, others are from couchpotato and MJB and Peg, plus more from "I don't know who".
As most of you already know, I always use custom made Nexis Lots and BATs in my story and for each character, just to make it more personal and realistic looking. They can be asked for, if anyone is interested. (that's if I can find them in my 17 Gb pluginfolder ;))

Quote
And Fred: so many lots, you must have an awfully long and cluttered series of in game menus. How do you ever find something?

Well, lol.....sometimes I make something and then I cannot find it in the menus. What I do then is simply create a new and empty pluginfolder, put that specific file in it and open the game and find it, which is quite easy. Then I plop it where I want it to be, save the city (with the hundred or so brown boxes that were left without their props and textures), reload the original pluginsfolder, included the new one that I couldn't find before......lol....and re-open the game, where everything is in its place, including the new one. Easy, no? lol....That happenes once in awhile, when I simply cannot find that specific file that I made, but once I found it and saw its icon, then it will be just a matter of my memory to find it again.
I have more than 900 custom Nexis Lots, not including my 320 Nexis BATlots in my plugins. Confusing?...Yes, you bet! Long and cluttered menue?...Oh my, yes indeed, but.....I Love it! ;)

Ok, so you guys don't find the time tooo long to wait for upcoming update, I have some.....Teasers....for you. Enjoy.

Catching a salmon that runs up the river in late summer is what everyone should experience at least once in his/her lifetime. Being alone on the riverbanks. listening the to the water, the fighting dragonflies and smell that freshness of clean and clear waters surrounded by evergreens and having one big salmon "online", is an unforgetable experience of adrenaline at its greatest.  When the waters are low in the river, it is the best time to go for it and find these fishfull waterpockets that might hold the trophy of your lifetime that is just parked there and waiting for the next rainfall, that 'll open up the "path" to its breeding grounds.

T-08

Downriver a few hundred yards (meters), some folks take their weekend more serious than others and enjoy the peace and quiet of the river, while relaxing and enjoying the waterflow with their kayak or canoe.

T-10

The river is in the Goosebay region, in the southern part of Simland.

see map:
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2665/largesimlandmap.png

It is just north of Bluebay and south of Sandom. A small farming community, surrounded by piney hills and sliced with the Gooseriver, which drains the Threepeak Mountain chain in the west.
People like Mike Allheimer, Richard Welder , Robert Yome and Anne Bradley come from this beautiful and still preserved area, which draw each year hundreds of salmon tourists to its town. The town is the only place with a salmonladder, which allows the fish go upstream although when it is damed.

T-11

Goosebay will be the in the next 3 to 4 updates, we will visit this beautiful and very detailed region with our Region series.

But before that we will have an interesting update coming soon, talking about Johnny B.Badd's new Mari-fields, Bob Mangarten's favourite dinerplace, Jake Monarch's coming to the region, Paul Donovan's expansion in Access, Michael Trux's second Fastfood Resto in Access and his passion for airplane/train photography, Steve Gibson's second airplane purchase and new company, Wormwood's carsales which are climbing at a highrate, now that he got to be friends with Johnny B. Badd, Alex Puto and his passion of boating and love with Katie, Vito Scaletta's new office at the airport, William Sculpten's arrival in Access, full of new ideas and Trent Michaels' retirement in  Phlox and plans to do something different.
Plus we visit the airport of Access, have a look at the latest advancements of highway 15 and hear something from the Ganoga boys again.
It will be big, maybe not quite as big as the last one, but.....Be there!

Nice teasers Fred. Can't wait for the update!

I love the work you do with the seabed. But perhaps it would be even prettier, with less blue water

Fred,

I tried once to do things like that: taking lots out of my plugins folder. What I wanted to achieve was the growing of one certain series of residential lots, so I took out all others (and blocked Maxis). What I found out was that after restoring the lots a huge amount of props was deleted and the lots looked very empty. Do you not suffer from this?

You almost convince me into taking a trip to your side of the ocean and take a canoe- or fishing vacation there.... But I am not sure if it fits with my 7 years old daughter's and 2,5 years old sons interests... My wife would certainly feel for that.

Thanks Will and Nascar.
Orange_o, I wanted to make it look like the river has "pools" (deeper waterpockets) in it and that was the only way I could achieve it. Unless.......lol....you might finish those water (River and/or Creek) lots that you started..... &idea

FrankU,
That happened to me also, when I take out plugins and come back to do something without them and then return with the full packs. Props (and sometimes texture) have the tendency to disappear when it's done, but I always keep a proppack now of all the props that I have everytime I open a citytile.
Below is a link to ST, where I mentioned the detailed manner on how I handle my Plugins folder. Have a look, maybe it might come in handy for you too, since I use an enormous amount of BATs, LOTs, Mods and Props, some 17 GB's of them, and this with a regular 5 year old computer ;)

Hi Fred,
my first comment here - now i finished reading the first half of Your wonderful MD (i read it part for part since more than a month, can´t stop as i love the story as well as Your pictures). Then i wanted to write something, but You were ill then and fortunately now You´re back.
I only hope You´ll stay well for the next long Years! That´s all for now, cause i have to go back to side 35 and read again. Oh, one thing: this picture of the little creek is outstanding, although i concede a point to girafe: the water less blueish would be better... But then i would have thunk it were some RL picture. And so i see it´s not...  ;)

CabraBuitre

Not much time to post... I'll have to go back and catch up on the story, but the pics look great!  I'm still impressed by the volume of detail... it's more than just singular detail.... it's the whole thing!

Check out Abelfarei!

mrbisonm

eufl Thanks for your wonderful first comment here, and I hope it ain't the last one, bceause the story goes on and I have figured out everything until they undig the........in West River.......oups, I almost gave it away. ;) But then again, that will happen only in 1991. Meanwhile have fun reading the story, which is about to get even better.

CabraBuitre, yeah.... you better be informed right, so you know where the Westwoods are going, right? ;) Thanks for dropping in.

I am working on different things at the moment all at the same time. First rendering those farmprops that I did earlier....(geeez, there are sooo many of them), then I am finishing a castle that I started a year back and also writing the next update, which will come next weekend and yes, it will be almost as big as the last one. ;)

Have a nice week, I'm enjoying the beautiful weather out here in Québec (sunny but a little on the cold side).

UPDATE 79
"From One Place to Another"

Just have a small look on the entire town of Access Center first. It has reached the 70,000 population mark earlier this year and is radically changing from one month to another. "Nothing will stop us now" is Mayor's Bartlett new slogan.

Now, before you start reading this update, make sure you got a cup of coffee, tea, glass of water, milk or even a bottle of beer beside you, because this is the biggest update of mine sofar. It's huge! ....and it will be the last one of this size, because this is a lot of work at one time. A little too much. Anywyas, enjoy. ;)

79.01

<<<" Oh my god, what happened here?" asked John Gabber when he entered the Timberlog Office looking at Slye at his desk. " Talking about a mess, this is terrible!"
"Hey, don't remind me," says Slye not even lifting his head burried in the papers in front of him," I see it every morning and it just starts pissing me off too."
Being a good friend and the ex-partner of Terry Slye, John is picking him up to go and meet the Ganoga kids, which are supposed to come out of the Ganoga wild Territory this afternoon on the last bridge they're building at the Winding River Region Limits.
"Are you ready?" he asks Terry, "The kids are probably waiting for us already."
Slye finally lifted his eyes and looked at John, " Ready?....ha....never, I suppose, but let's go and see those new celebrities. I heard that more than a hundred people will be waiting for them to come out of the woods."

While they exited the office and before taking his white luxurious car in the parking, John couldn't help saying seriously: " You better get organized Terry, all this is starting to look like it's anorganized mess...." and starting to laugh when Slye looked at him to see if he actually was serious. " Don't worry, Buddy, I can just imagine in what position you're in at the moment." John continued.
"I don't think so," Slye told John while he was opening the door of the passenger side of John's car. "I'm about to crack up I think" and leans his arms and head on the top of the car.
" Geeez, is it that bad? " John asks.
" Well, I haven't really slept much lately, nor did I have had a weekend to myself and my girlfriend and I am out of ideas where, what, how and when to continue with all this."
Oh, c'mon now Terry," John looked at Slye while tapping his hand on the hardtop. "You need to double up that buissness of yours, you always wanted it, so now you got that chance to do so. You better now stick to it, son. This will be over quicker than you think." giving him some serious fatherly advice and after a moment of thinking, Slye responded: "You're right John, I wanted it, damn it yes,.....I wanted it.", and both got into the car to meet the kids in the Brokentree area.>>>
79.02

Terry S, Slye started the sawmill buissness a while back together with John Gabber. It was in Acces, where it all started. Being of course the only sawmill close by, it wasn't long before it had to double it's input and because space was a small problem in Access, Slye sold the land there, bought John's half and started here in Phlox. Buissness is excellent and always has been, but now there's another problem. A matter of space again and this time even more than ever.

79.03

There is the problem of sawdust.
While it's being piled outside of his property on a rented farmfield and some of is being burned 24 hrs a day, it could be well more productive and money making if there would be a rail to deliver it to a furniture manufacture up in Frampton. Burning the sawdust is an expense and not making profit.

79.04

At the moment, some of the sawdust is being shipped to Frampton already, but shipping expenses by ship are too great and loading is another problem. Terry does not be wanting to build himself an industrial harbour with cranes etc, that will be standing still after a certain time.

79.05

Here are two pictures showing us the need for more space and better shipping.

79.06

79.07

So, Terry Slye's decision was to build himself a railway connecting to the mainrails that lead north to Frampton. That rail north, Terry is about to negociate to buy with the Simland Rails Company. Investing more than a million of §'s, Terry is only hoping to have taken the right decision.
Rails always have fascinated him since his childhood and now that he is about to become the owner of his own small railways, we can easily understand him stressing himself out of his limits.

79.08

While we are in Phlox, let's go and see more of it. As some citizen's feared, Big Jake, the Iron Man, as some call him, has moved to phlox. Scrap is his buissness and scrap is already what his new home looks like.
<<"Unbelievable in what conditions this guy lives with his 85 lbs wife and family of 13", the telephone repairman Bob Mangarten said to his neighbores when he installed the phone lines in Monarch's home." I haven't seen worse yet, but I remember him from Bordertown, where he once he moved in for a short while and back there, I was the one who installed his phone too." In this new place that Big Jake bought from the old Jonson with cash, some of his kids seem to live in the barn, Mangarten says, because he installed a phone there also. "Only been here for 4 weeks and the place already looks like a dump".>>
James Monarch is always on the lookout for a good bargain of scapped metals and used paper and he finds the region an excellent place to continue his road to wealth, as he calls his job ambition.

79.09

Alex Puto and his girlfriend are moving in together. They started to build a home that Alex himself designed, just outside of Katie's Boatyard on Sterling Island in Phlox. Alex announced to Gabber that he will be leaving the Gabber Company once the highway is finished and wants to perfect his skills of architecture while starting his own architectural Company in Access Center one day. As we know , Alex has been with the Gabber Company since the beginning of the Highway 15 construction. John Gabber was somehow disappointed of his decision, but understood and accepted his decision to become independant.

79.10

Just to mention, also in Phlox, this time in the little "downtown" near the bridge, Dirk Kujit finally found a job, not exactly what he was looking and hoping for, but for the moment it will have to do, because he has to live and pay for the rent of his new little place outside the town.
George Troy, that we surely remember as the Guardian of the Sterling lands and as the cook of his small cantina near his home on the highway 15 outside the town and his small bicycle repairshop in Phlox, is offering a honest paid job to Kujit as a helper in his bikeshop. Kujit will now be repairing bicycles which is not at all in his line of his dreams. Now Troy will be able to make longer hours in his canteen.
Not far from Troy's shop is a small restaurant where Bob Mangarten, the telephone repairman, started to hang out when ever he works in the area. They serve something called "roasted wings of chicken". Maybe a new recipe, but Bob loves that stuff it seems and he surely thinks that it should've been invented before.

79.11

One more place in Phlox to visit is the Sterling Island's southern end, where the Gerhard farm was lately sold to the retiring Naval Captain Trent Michaels. Only the land was sold to him, about 100 acres of it. Trent spent a lot of his hard earned saved money on this land, but has some nice plans to open a small marina with a restaurant at the point of this new peoperty of his. The land will be perfect, nicely situated on the southend of the big island, where the sunset falls into the mighty Winding River. Mr Michaels also applied for a place next year in the Lakestead University to study Naval architecture and Engineering. He is aiming for a college degree to start of with. Now that he has all the time he likes on his early retiremnt, Trent can take care of his dreams.

79.12

The Gerhard farm itself was not sold while Gerhard himself will continue to live and do some smalltime gardening, now that he made a lot of money  with the land and enjoy his retirement also.

79.13

Let's go back to Access Center, our maintown of almost 72K citizens now.
We heard about that the shopping center in downtown was about to come down one day, well, it happened. Unfortunetly we missed the day it was torn down and only 48 hrs after, nothing of the old site was left to see.
The "hole" in the middle of town is so big that it seems to have gulped up a good part of downtown. Even the Main office of Wellington is now in the shades of the crane towers that will help the rising of the new office tower complex.
No one actually seems to know how many towers or how tall they will be, but on the radio mentioned that the buildings will easlily tower over everything in Access. Also this complex will have an underground parking of several stories, something that already exists in the bigger cities of Simmland. Of course that draws a lot of curious folks over to the construction site which make the traffic complications only worse than they already are.
The bank, the shopping center, the Co-op and the other offices that disappeared here have been transferred to the big Valmore Commercial Center, where we will go in a couple of minutes.

79.14

Here close to the construction site, a young fellow that will be working in these future offices, just has moved in one of these big appartment buildings that were built 5 years ago on top of the last pond in Access. Remember that pond, it used to be the watersource of Access?
The young fellow, William Sculpten, born just after the war in 1946 (now 21yo) comes from the Capitol City, where he studied computer repair and maitenance. He was hired by a big Company that started manufacturing computers for big buissnesses and governmental institutions. Since Computer are very big and have many moving parts, Bill, as we will call him, has a college degree in general mechanics which he needs to maintain these monsters of today's technologies. Young Sculpten will be responsable for those computers to maintained and running smoothly in the Winding River Region, representing the Company he works for, Sim-Global Computers Inc.

79.15

One thing that seems to be out of place at this time, is the small little laundry store of Johnny B.Badd, left pittyful behind the big downtown constructions. Beside him, a small gazstation was built only a few months ago. One day his store and his neighbor in the back, the TV-store will disappear also. But for now, he's doing well and has no plans to abandon his shop that is laundering his illegal money he makes with his green drugs.

79.16

Another one that will stand in the shadows of some tall building is Barby's Biergarten. I don't know if the outside terrace will be as attractive as before with the big cement tower now rising beside it.

79.17

And still in Access downtown is Harry Wormwood's used carsales, doing very well it seems. His yard is full of cars now and new ones are brought in every month. Since economy is excellent in the region, so are the carsales and Wormwood is doing much better than he expected, selling more and more used cars. But something is strange, Johnny B.Badd and even Vito Scaletta have been seing around him in several occasions. How about an almost brandnew 1967 Chevrolet Impala for only 2000 § ? Only 400 miles on it.

79.18

To boost the tv signals coming from the Capitolcity's TV-Stations, a Tv antenna was erected near the highway 15, just beside the new residential zones on the banks of Fingerlake. Some others were installed in the western mountains also. The tower will now boost the signals of two more TV stations from the Capitol and Frampton. Now Access has 5 channels in its radius of reception. Some folks say that Access is planning to get its own TV station within two years, but then again, are these just rumours again?

79.19

What once used to be an airport does not show anymore signs of that today. The industrial park is growing out of its size. Some room will be freed when Racsan Motors move to the River, near the airport, but this can still take a year or two. Then again, Mayor Bartlett opened a few acres beside the airport for industrial constructions also and many new industries that come to the region go to the River to buy the land. We will see that later in this update also.

79.20

Finally a surprize to everyone in Access, the trainstation that is only two years old has been sold to Michael Truex. Now, here is something fishy going on in Access, and Mayor Bartlett does not answer any of the questions asked why the trainstation is disappearing soon. Rumours are that the rails will disappear also from the town limits of Access. Plans for a new route, just outside the town have already been made, the council said. Truex doesn't know anything about this neither, all he knows that he was offered the station for a fair prize and that it will become his property in about 6 months, when trains will stop passing through the town. What Truex has in mind for this terrain is surely got something to do with his Hamburgerstands, now getting well known in Access. Racsan Busses will take the trains' place until the new rails are connected with the mainrails.
The only thing that Bartlett mentioned in his last speech about the future of Access is that the traffic problem in Access' downtown will come to an end soon. Hm?

79.21

Now let's go to Valmore, the northern part of Access, where all the action is these days. Donovan is being busy too, while the home and buissness constructions in the region have more than doubled and with great help from Slye, he is about to double his enterprise in Access again. His new lumberyard near the highway is holding enough wood to construct a small town. His slogan is that "Donovan's never short of materials". He even thinks to open an outlet like this in Phlox one day soon.
Paul is less seen in the bars and clubs downtown these days, he must be too busy to keep his "Playboy" life active and he hasn't been to his other outlet in Beecherfalls and Frampton in the last 2 months.

79.22

Right across the highway is the new truckstop which was welcomed by many truckers across the region. Being on highway 15 at one of its exits, it couldn't be better located.

79.23

Anne Bradley, our new truckdriver, is starting to hang out here, when on breaks driving the logloads for Slye's mill. Also Mike, our Gabber Inc forman is seen here quite often, he just loves truckers he says. The Restaurant is run by a man from Sandom, who thought that it was an excellent location to build one. With the highway under construction, trucks are all over the place in this region and what a trucker always needs is a good breakfast and lunch.

79.24

"The future is today" it says on a sign when you enter the new commercial center of Valmore. Here now are a few big outlets, superstores and shopping malls where onces a big farm stood. Almost completely surrounded by the highway that contours Valmore, the southern district of Access Center, the commercial center is immense. About 65 % of its total plans is already built with the Golfcourse in the center and all the other ones are in the stage of construction. One big contract that the town of Access will be glad to have finished. It will be all ready as promissed before the end of the year.

79.25

Let's have a closer look at this. In the beginning of the center are the new hi-rise residences, totally new to the region. These appartment buildings are for the higher society only though, because one needs a darn good job to be able to live here with all the accomodations within a 10 minute walk. This place is surrounded by parks and cultivated forests that have trails and benches. Also community gardens have been organized, very new to Simland and are used as an experiment for the moment.
Racsan Busses, former Kohler buslines, has opened its 25th busstop in town right here.

79.26

In the middle of the commercial center is a  golfcourse, that was so much demanded by many citizens. The golfclub is the property of the town and run by it also. Almost 25 acres big, it is a Golfer's paradise. Some of the first registered members of the club are Paul Donovan, Steve Gibson, who was wondering what took them so long, Mike Allheimer, Kyle Roberts, the Access Police Chief and of course our famous and busy Terry S.Slye, who actually was the first one registered, but has not set a foot on the terrain yet.
The club was the biggest expense of the town in 1967 and the biggest financial deception of the population, but hopefully will pay for itself soon and within a few years to come. there are several Parks and forests that surround the golfcourse and connect with the other parks in the same area
.

79.27

Not to go into all the details of this commercial center, I will show only three pictures of the Golf course's surrounding terrains. Here one can find a big hardwarestore, a large shopping mall and a Zeller's store, close by a few family restaurants who are making the way into town these days. Further away, we have a Walmart, some smaller stores and three more superstores to come before the year ends. And on the other side of the golfcourse are other stores and shopping centers and a few still to come. In other words, the commercial center is quite an attraction not only for the citizens, but also for outsiders, such as from Sandom and even Bluebay. This is something that the town's council has been dreaming of for the last five years and finally it has become a reality.
Of course this is taking Phlox a great step back as Mayor Bartlett hoped for. Having a commercial center of this span in a town, surely is excellent for its economy and a good reason to moving in. Go Access go!

79.28

79.29

79.30

South of Access, close to the river, is the airport. We haven't been here for awhile because it din't really develop that fast neither. Now, it barely has started to grow a bit more. The forests have almost been totally erased in the area and the terrain is now flattened and levelled, ready for construction. Sofar the airport is divided into 5 parts or departments if you like.
The airforce, commercial area, the airport itself for national flights only for the moment, the cargo area and the industrial part of the airport. All the other vacant parts of it will find usage for many uses with time and/or used for extensions of the airport itself. Some places have already been reserved to certain Companies from Access and exterior
.

79.31

The cargo area is now busier than a year ago. People realized that shipping by air is a lot faster than by train or truck. Besides the post office depends severly on Cargo-air now, sending all its mail to other cities in Simland from here.

The airforce hasn't changed at all, still looking almost empty and only one or two planes are seen once in awhile. Nothing much going on here.

Just beside the main airport, Steve Gibson has rented a small office, where he has taken his small plane service buissness from Grasslake. Now Gibson owns a second airplane for land only, bringing in and out people from Access and elsewhere. You can buy a regular flight with his small airplane to every small port you want to go and there's one in almost every small village in this country for a third of the price from a big company. Steve hired a pilot for this, keeping his hydroplane for himself.

This is the main airport. It also has not changed since it was finished two years ago. No need for it to change neither since it's doing well and giving all what the people of the region need. Landings and take-offs are like twice a day. Only a few small commerces have arrived in this area, mostly bars, restaurants and a small motel/hotel.

79.35

The airport is new and has a cost of a few million § to the town, but the council is positive, because they believe that it will soon pay itself. As we heard in an earlier update, 70 % of the costs were paid by the federal government, but still the 30 % left to pay by the town has created a big hole in the financial pocket, which is still felt. Although the airport looks quite big, it only hires about 40 people on a regular basis. Everything is kept to a minimum of basics.

Further down in the direction to the river is the industrial section of the airport. Here Vito Scaletta has his office now of importation/exportation. Vito studies aviation engineering at the moment in Frampton, but his small import and export buissness helps pay off his study's costs. Being a close friend of Alex Puto, he is often seen with him at different places. But lately people like Johnny B.Badd and Harry Wormwood have been around him when he is in town. Some say that he might have some connection with the sicilian Mafia, but then again, one cannot trust rumours all the time, now can we?

79.37

Here we can see that the industrial section of the airport has well started. Some quite futuristic looking offices were built last year and more and more zones have been sold to be soon build on. Vito's office and warehouse in the same building is right in the middle of it. His neighbor is the airport administration center, which also holds some other offices, like the cargo offices and the regional post office and delivering services.

The plantation is about 500 yards up into the hills away from the farmbuildings, no roads, no trails and since strangers have no buissness in these parts, the place is perfectly save. Although several people live in different houses on the farm, most of them working on the farm's apple plantation, it can be easily managed to keep it without getting noticed. Johnny himself and one more hired friend from Access will do the maintaining of the plants during the summermonths.
For now they planted about 300 only, but future plans will go soon into the thousands. The demand for this softdrug is rising tremendously, it has doubled in the last year only and Jonny has to get a good part of his supplies from out of town, which he pays dearly and it makes his income less interesting. Growing his own supplies surely will change that

<<"What's new with the highway these days, John?", Slye asks John while both are still driving on highway 15 to meet the "Ganoga boys this morning". " I heard that it'll be ready within a year or so, right?"
"Well, the big bridge just ahead here in Phlox is completely finished now, and the bridge over the Ganoga marshlands only need some touch-ups and final cleaning. The group started on the "big highway bend" in Brokentree, where we're going and should be ready before next February. The loggers are about to finish clearing the route to the regional borderline before a the month ends and the bulldozers move in and have it leveled by next May, so I suppose and if the weather next year will allow it, that we should make the connection with the downcoming highway from Frampton in August and have it paved by October 68.", John had as an answer.
"Wow, that sounds good. What are you going to do after that, any new jobs in view or are you retiring?" Slye asks more.
" Oh yes, we got three more contracts already signed and one job will start in a couple of weeks when the loggers are finished with the highway. No retirement for me in view yet. The government wants us to connect the Winding River Outlet town, the little town at the sea, with us here. It'll be only a small paved road, but still a good 2 years of labour through those tough mountains. Then there are the rails outside of Access and Valmore that will need a road to access it and for maintenance and scheduled for 68 is an extension of highway 15 north towards Reverant. Gabber Inc got the whole contract this time, we will build it from Phlox to Reverant, almost 100 miles (160 km's) That will keep us busy for some years to come."
"That's excellent, I didn't think that you were that busy too." Terry was all surprised to see John that calm although he seems to have more jobs on his hands than he himself. And off they went crossing the big Winding River bridge in Phlox, only 20 minutes from meeting the kids in Brokentree.>>

The road towards the Winding River Outlet will take two years to construct and we can see a plan of it on the picture below.

The Darkforests have been known to airplane pilots to avoid , ever since Sims started flying. Some planes never made it in the past. The best example is Robert Sweathers who crashed here in 1942. The whole area is offcially off limits to every airtraffic because of the electrical failure of planemotors over these forests. The reason is still mystified and no reasonable explications have been found.
The forests also contain the tallest and biggest trees in the region, some of them estimated to be towering more than 200 feet (60 m) above ground or maybe even more. Now that a road will soon be accessed near that region, the Government already has the area cut off for public access until the area has been scientifically explored. And this can take a few years. One thing for sure, we are all curious about this in the coming year.

That's it and it was about time I guess. This is the last time that I bring you an immense update like this, future ones will be smaller, just like before, because this here is too much work for me. 42 pictures....ouffff. Hope you liked it though.
Now I will take a 10 day break to finish my Nexis farmprops Pack.
Have a nice weekend and week and hey, nothing like a comment to have the story go on.
