Patricius Maximus gets my vote as there is more realism in it than Lerists, theres more charm and the transportation looks more the part than Lerists. Besides, you wouldn't get a rocket launching into space from a base that is surrounded by industrial buildings... would you?

Not easy.

I like that RHW interchange and the soundwalls, and that avenue roundabout makes a great center of the village but that sawtooth  diagonal GLR in the top left corner is an eyesore for me - the contrast of the white plaster against its environment is too much for me.

On lerists pic I still like its surrealistic eyesore of the repeating industry (nice paradoxon, isn't it? ) with the shuttle breaking somehow that otherwise boring layout.

It is that special picture composition that makes me go for lerist (even though Patricius' pic is great, too, its a 52:48 decision)

I won't repeat my comments of lerist's image, so onto Northern Suburbia!

Patricius Maximus's picture stays true to what we often see in the suburbs, roundabouts, cul de sacs, a highway within a close proximity. It shows a nice use of fused grids and makes good uses of NAM and SAM. However, there are a few blemishes within this image. The GLR pieces clash heavily with the greenery that dominates the picture, the jagged edges are also unsightly. Its unavoidable, but those pieces would probably work much better in a medium density zone. As for the houses that line the avenue, it would be even more suburbanised if it was lined with parklands/bike paths/pedestrian walkways instead.

My feeling is that Northern Suburbia strived to be a realistic depiction of a suburb, and while it has many good points going for it, there are some things that still have ways to go.

On these points, my vote goes to lerist

I'll vote for lerist this round. Patricius Maximus' pic looks good overall but, as has been mentioned, the glr tracks look a bit odd at that angle like that. Hiding the diagonals with some trees or perhaps using some diagonal plaza pieces might help it blend in a bit more. I do like the focal point of the cental roundabout, and the SAM works well with the streets there too. If you can find a way to fit the GLR in there a bit better, consider trying the pic again.

It's a tough call.  In fact I've been mulling over it for several minutes now, but in the end there just isn't something in Patricius Maximus's pic that really grabs my attention, and Lerist's is certainly original.  So...
