Update 38: A few re-LOTs.

Dan7: Maybe for the Coastguard! I don't know yet, still contemplating. And there are 12 cities in the region (I believe).

danielcote: Thanks! Very few Parisian buildings but they look AWESOME!!!

djvandrake: Thanks!

Glowbal: Thanks! I am looking foreward to the first shots of your new MD! ;D

masrh: I know. Still not quite finished....

io_bg: I should. Will try with the randomwalk thing..

citycapitalizer: Thanks!

woodb3kmaster: Thanks! I will use those too...

Nexis4Jersy: Commutes pretty good. Little congestion on the 101 but otherwise a nice commute home this afternoon.  $%Grinno$%

Battlecat: Why thankyou!

Tomas Neto: Thanks!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First we will start off with a region view...

Here is a few pics of a costom re-LOTted Shanghai Convention Centre.

At night...

Just north is a small downtown area...

A custom re-LOTted  City Hall...

Also the Rayin Twin Towers have been added to the area...

And a stadium...

Now back to the City hall parking lots. To the top left is a Subway in the roundabout.

Which ends up here...

That ends Update 38! Hope you enjoyed it everyone!

Please post, comments, hints, ideas, etc.

Everything looks great Driftmaster07!  :)

I have but one suggestion; try putting a map and flag on the front page along with some stats.  ;)
(I was wondering which version of the flag you were using and had to scroll through each page to find it)

Hey everyone,

I am thinking about POSSIBLY uploading a custom file or two to the STEX. But.... Is there ANY way how to figue out the dependancies?

My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.

io_bg

Yep, there is - download SC4 Tool, install and run it. After that click on Dependencies scanner. Then choose the lot you want to scan and the dependencies will show ;)
The last update is excellent! I really liked that "small downtown area" $%Grinno$%
Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Where can I get it though? And more importantly... Does it run on Vista? Got it but I dont understand it. :( It says that it cant find all the files... ()sad() Instead I want someone who has experience in this thing here to find the files. Can someone do that possibly? They will be fetured in the new update as LOTs anyway. Can anyone help me please!?!?!?

Since SC4Tool was designed for Windows XP, it uses XP directory names for its file paths by default. You have to change these file paths manually if you want it to automatically locate your plugins. To do that, open the Options menu and click on Program. It will open up a box with three tabs at the top; the Paths tab should be selected when the box opens. This tab has two text boxes for the two SC4 file directories on your computer - the Program Files path is on top.

To change these paths, click on the Browse icon to the right of the text box and navigate to your Program Files and Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folders. The text boxes might appear completely black (they do on my computer, which runs the 64-bit edition of Vista Home Premium). Don't worry about that if they do; the file paths may not be visible, but they're there.

After changing the paths, it's probably a good idea to click the Save icon in the top-left corner. The new paths will take effect after you restart SC4Tool. If you need any more information, I recommend looking in the SC4Tool section of the forums (they're especially helpful in telling you what compatibility settings you need to run SC4Tool under on Vista).

Feel brand new. Be inspired.

That helped a lot but how do I get the dependancy links???

My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.

woodb3kmaster

For those, I just search the LEX and STEX until I find them. It's tedious, but I'm not aware of any way to find the links within SC4Tool.
