Denna uppdatering blir lite annorlunda mot de tidigare. Jag har nämligen bestämt mig för att se tillbaka på hur ett annat område i regionen utvecklats. Staden i fråga heter Östergårda och har runt 1000 invånare när vi först tar oss en titt på den i början av 1930-talet...

Get ready to go back in time! This update and the maybe five next will take us from the 1930s to present day. We will concentrate us on a town called Östergårda which is located in the Österköping Region. Off we go, back in time!

Precis nu i början av 30-talet ska Östergårda få sin första järnvägsanslutning, och på bilden nedan ser ni den tänkta sträckningen.
Back in the 1930s, it was time for the railroad to be extended to Östergårda. Below is the proposal.

Update 22:

Givetvis så fortsätter vi på föregående uppdatering, denna gång till år 1935. Som en del av statens sjuårsplan ska man bygga ett nytt industriområde precis bredvid järnvägen.

Continuing from the previous update, we move on to the year 1935, with the construction of a new industrial area. Part of the state's industrial seven-year programme, they've decided to construct industrial plants near the railway.

Två år före beräknad sluttid blev området klart. Nedan syns en överblick med området i bild till höger.

Two years earlier than expected, in 1940, this overview shows the completed area to the right.

År 1945 hade staden vuxit till sig med ett nytt bostadsområde, fler industrier samt en asfalterad huvudled.

Slowly expanding, by 1945, the city had grown with some new residential development as well as another industrial area. Also, an asphalt road have been constructed through the town.

På grund av befolkningsökning och tack vare statlig finansiering har man diskuterat möjligheten att bredda vägen till en fyrfältsväg och även bygga ett nytt bostadsområde i utkanten, på andra sidan järnvägen.

Due to population growth and state subsidies, there have been talks to widen and extend the west-east road and construct a new residential area on the other side of the rail line.
